HB with problems. So many accounts banned.

I've been botting herbing in Kun-Lai every single day for a little bit now, at least 2-3 hours and at most 4-5. I have not been banned, or warned, etc. There is no banwave. As it has been mentioned a thousand times over & over, if you bot, you will be banned eventually. It may not be today, or tomorrow, or next week, or next month, but it will happen eventually. It's just the way it is when it comes to botting. If you are so worried about getting banned when botting, even though you want to, just buy a second account and use that account strictly for botting. I'm going to do that soon, but not because I care about losing stuff, but because I'm currently in a progression raid group, and I don't want them to lose their main tank.

yes sure. But that's still better than no information at all. And well, this type of script has already been mentionned here.
 
Some Update on my case;

They banned two accounts today. Both accounts were farming herbs and ores almost 24h a day. Both accounts are on different bnet accounts and none of them sold anything in the AH. Both accounts were banned because of economy abuse, selling gold for real money. I wrote a ticket hoping that they will unbann my account. 5 minutes ago they answered my complaint and changed the reason. Now they write, that I use an illegal 3rd party software. They also say, that they can scan the RAM to detect these kind of software. To me it looks like, that they are able to detect GB2 or HB. What do you think about this.

I wrote 10 tickets with "I never sold anything for real money", let's see how lucky I am with unbans.

I think this is really the case.

On my server there is a bot who is bot-fishing in the same spot 24/7, being level 85,, for 1 week straight.
I reported him from 5 different bnet accoutns and nothing is being done about him, he still continues to bot.

Conclusion: blizz doesnt give a shit about player reports, but they have some kind of trigger that trips the flag and gets your account banned. And when you appeal, they take a loser look.
 
They do this all the time, reports come in they analyze stock up... and bam ban the accounts. It is a technique they use to scare people like you to stop boting for a while.

I see from your posts that both of your accounts have been banned for fishing.
More proof that blizzards investigates people who send out reports on bots.

One was for fishing another for GB.

Third account who also sent out reports is fine.
 
So many people saying that if HB was detectable everyone would be banned instantly. Take a business class and you'll know why that statement is hilariously stupid. Botting has been built into the business model of blizzard for years and years and years and eternities. A company making billions a year that for some reason hasn't figured out how to hire two guys fresh out of MIT to troll these forums and break the botting code apart? Sure.

The funny thing is people run past botters all the time and dont really care, yet a botter runs past a botter and reports.. This is why half of us are banned.

If we don't disagree we are titled to our opinions not to "fuck off".

In my opinion (I had my 5 farming accounts ban), I think that Blizzard still can't detect HB.
Still, I think that they are detecting suspect activity, that's not hard for a company such as Blizzard.
So, HB is safe, botting is not (and it has never been, maybe a little more dangerous now).

Well. we both, and all the others, just don't know if they can detect HB. But in the email blizz sent to me they claimed, that I use illegal 3rd party software. Maybe they can't and they are just bluffing. Maybe this is the reason, why you can turn the perm ban so easy to 72h. Maybe they just want to "scare" us. I just don't know. Threre is so much saying and so few knowing in this thing.

I've been here for 2 years now. they got 2 of my accounts yesterday. both got 72 after appeal. And the reason was "Type of abuse: Using software to automate gameplay" (this is autotranslation from russian).
I know that usually blizzard worked other way - collecting lots of information and evidence and then - boom 100.000 accounts banned. Now it seems we have some sort of change (

Just bad luck. You got reported (yes this even happens to experienced botters), got some whispers or stuff, a gm watched you (yes they can watch you without contacting or giving any notice to you) and decided you are a bot. (due to movement or whatever)

If they would have changed something and would be able to detect patterns regarding node counter or anything we would have millions of threads of people getting banned.

Beeing honest my botting behavior was so obvies. I am sure I got reported several times in the past few month. I run 6 accounts with several chars. but only the two which were online yesterday got banned. For me it is hard to believe that a flagging or reporting is the reason. It just don't fit, at least in my case.
