HB ARCHIVES: Honorbuddy Profile Pack--DO NOT DELETE!

Hey guys, long time since I've used Honorbuddy -- using this questing profile and got a toon to lvl 30 in Stranglethorn now. I've encountered a problem where the bot keeps on killing previous questmobs. For example, in Westfall it continued grinding on the gnolls that spawn in rapid succesion outside of the fort until I moved it away from that spot. When it returned there to sell some stuff and return some quests it continued farming on these gnolls. Same thing happened in Stranglethorn, every time the bot runs past the spot where the murlocs are, it will stop whatever its doing to continue farming on those murlocs even if the current step is doing some other quest (I made sure its current step was actually doing a quest and not grinding). It will continue to farm on these mobs until I manually get out of that spot. Is there any fix to this? I already disabled killing between hotspots in the settings and I don't seem to find any other settings within the client gui to rectify this.

Keeps walking to same spot where i gets killed by like 30 elite wolfs in redridge mountains
Finished all the quest by hand but still doesnt fix the problem realy weird.....

It sounds like you are using an outdated copy of the profile, as those wolves are blackspotted. If the profile is up-to-date, the most likely cause of the issue is a corrupted cache. You can find the instructions for resolving that problem here;

hey all.

I'm new too WoW...
although im not new to botting so , I have picked it up pretty easily.

So I'am using kicks profile.
My question is about setting up a mail recipient.
I understand this is a in game ability to send items to other characters.

So In the honorbuddy settings, what character I'am setting the mail recipient to?
and what is the purpose?

a direction to some answers would be appreciated.

As you quest you are going to collect a large amount of drops even with the biggest bags equiped, when they get full you will need to empty them to be able to carry on questing, you can use an alternative toon of yours to be the mail recipient, I personally have several bank toons for different purposes; and this is one of them for my leveling toons to send all the mail to them. A great example of why I do this is that whilst questing you will get quite a number of greens that you can sell in the AH for quite a bit of profit and even for transmogs which will reward you even more.
You can use pluggins whilst questing to set the bot to do what you want including selling everything to vendors or mailing items which you think might be valuable.

Most people arrange to have *one* toon on their account to be the 'banker toon'. This toon is responsible for receiving harvests, loot, gold, and goodies from all the other toons on the account. The 'banker' toon then makes the decision of how to dispose of all the loot--put it on the auction house, in the guild vault, sell it to a vendor, stash away for later crafting needs, etc. The 'banker' toon the doles out the resulting gold to the other toons on the account as they need--for that new mount, or that special item on the auction house, etc.

The banker toon is frequently a 'low level' character (1-5-ish), of a class one doesn't like to bot. *cough*rogue*cough*.

Most people set up the "Mail recipient" to be the name of the 'banker toon'.

So I've had the same thing go on. Bot doesn't seem to realize it's finished an objective:

Goal: InteractWith-v1129: "In Progress (no associated quest)"
pops up constantly... I will click the thing that is sitting right on top of the toon, it will just sit there. Stop/Start or move away, it goes back to it. Restarting completely seems to be the only fix.

However, not sure this is Kick's profiles more than a botbase issue as it's seemed to happen at every xpac profile and not just the older ones. Shame too, cause it really slows down everything with it getting stuck and needing a full restart

Where : Burning Crusade, Nagrand, Throne of the Elements.
The toon tries to accept the quest "Defending the Wilds" from Elementalist Morgh but cannot. If I accept it manually, it keeps opening the window to say "goodbye".

The toon keeps trying to get to its objective, ignoring attacks and being slowly but surely killed.

This is not a profile issue.

HB-150 addressed this issue "Mobs attacking us will now have higher weight on targeting. This should avoid running to the poi target with an army of aggro mobs behind us." HB-150 was closed by the release of Honorbuddy v'.717.

If you continue to have this problem, please report it to the Support forum with a fresh log, so they can open another bug report.

having a problem where the my bot is going to the quest giver and not facing him properly meaing the bot is just opening and closing the quest tab and not clicking complete on the quest annoying me anyone else with this problem cheers

May as well post this here too since it seems to be related to Kick's.

"Having a problem with my HB since my last power outage. I am trying to use Kick's 82-84 Deepholm profile but as soon as i load the profile the character just stands with "Moving to type: QuestPickUp" spam. I checked the logs and it seems to be related to pathing, but not sure what is causing it.

This is a fresh HB installation, no addons are running. I've tried restarting several times."

Having some difficulties with my bot as well.
Choose questing..loaded kick 12-58 profile..
The toon just grinds mobs and doesnt pick up any quest...
It?s level 28 now, but its been doing this since level 18...

The profile checkpoints are at 40 and 45. So, you will just have to let the profile do its thing.

Level 58 trying to quest in Hellfire keeps compiling Nagrand quests. Deleted logs. Not sure what else to do?

I'm getting a message that Bartender4 is incompatible with the profile. Using Bartender doesn't seem to cause any problems with the profile so I'm wondering what the issue is.

You should know that the first thing we do, if one of these addons is enabled, is to ask the user to disable it, and try again. So, just best to leave them disabled when using the quest bot. ElvUI, in particular, is a huge source of problems; but Bartender4 causes issues too. You just haven't seen them, yet.

Feature Request: Would it be possible to add Traveler's Tundra Mammoth as vendor/repair to the grind profiles?

This is not a profile thing—Honorbuddy should be doing this automatically. If it is not, please report it to the Support forum.

As a stopgap, there are plugins in the forum that provide this functionality also. It is not the profile's place to handle this vendor—the Tundra mounts are not normal vendors, and require special handling.

Sometimes bot will open quest and just sit there. Sometimes it seems to just randomly stop functioning.

Your Honorbuddy is trying to download meshes. It will not execute the profile while this is happening.

Your problem is exacerbated by communication issues with the mesh server. Most of your log is filled with these exceptions:

This could be caused by an error processing your message or a receive timeout being exceeded by the remote host, or an underlying network resource issue. This is an ISP issue, and there is nothing the profile (or Honorbuddy) can do to abate the problem. You'll just have to sit through the issue, until the needed meshes are acquired from the mesh server. Once acquired, they will be cached locally, so you won't have to do this again, until mesh updates are made available.

I have reported this once before, but I see that it is still happening. This is consistently failing, on several classes, races and specs. I hope you are able to re-investigate the issue. This last time, the toon also just sticks around and kills Shade of Ling Heartfist indefinately.

It looks like the quest (An Ancient Legend - Quest - World of Warcraft) itself is bugged for some people. You log clearly shows the Shade being killed and looted:

The two requirements for completing the "An Ancient Legend" quest are to 1) Kill the Shade, and 2) Obtain the "Song of the Vale". However, for some reason, the WoWclient is not marking that quest as complete for you, thus the endless loop.

Sometimes, we can install a work-around in a profile for WoWclient bugs. An example is we can sometimes proactively force NPCs to despawn and respawn by moving to certain area. This will prevent them from glitching when we go to do a quest turning. However, there is nothing I'm seeing at the moment to work around this WoWclient bug. You may find this article helpful in that regard:

I have a problem with kicks H 12-58 questing. My char is lvl 42 and is in feralas and doing Qs, killing lvl 32+ mobs. My toon does green quests...(Full account gear exept legs)

Ive been looking around since I know its a normal problem around here. This is the awnser Ive found "*If you want the bot to do all quests (If you don't have 10%+ XP Boost) - change IgnoreCheckpoints="False" to "True" (Right click profile --> edit. Once in notepad, edit --> find. IgnoreCheckpoints)" its from kicks orginal post.

When I try to find "IgnoreCheckpoints="False" (or with true insted) I cant find it in the profile in notepad. All I find in notepad is "<QuestOrder IgnoreCheckPoints="False">.

Please help me so my toon does yellow quests, and not green ones, and killing mobs that are 10 lvls lower then me.

We do not support modifying the profiles in such a fashion. There are many ramifications to do so, and if you do not understand them, you can really get into bad situations.
