HB ARCHIVES: Honorbuddy Profile Pack--DO NOT DELETE!

keeps flying to the abyssal shelf quest pick up area and sits there. i commented out all mounthook lines in the profile:
Hi, Twisty, and thank you for the log.

We've double-checked the profile, and it is issuing the correct directives. The problem seems to be in HBcore, and we've opened HB-1053 ("Honorbuddy confused about quest giver presence") against the issue.

For now, please do the quest manually.

cheers,
chinajade

I was using it today and worked for a while then got an error.
View attachment 137668

the profile it is looking for is [[N - Quest] 86-87 Valley of the Four Winds [Kick].xml
which has an extra [ at the beginning.

the correct filename in the profile pack is missing the first [

I just renamed my profile to [[N - Quest] 86-87 Valley of the Four Winds [Kick].xml and it works fine.

wasn't sure if anyone else noticed this. maybe just my version.... thanks for all the work

Hi, Spaniard1, and thank you for the report.

We double-checked the current versions of the profile, and all is good.

So the error was an editing error in a previous release, or a problem in your local copy. Since the log attachment is invalid, we can't easily check an editing error on our part, as we don't know which release to look at.

My toon is just going between different mailboxes and vendors, even though his bags are empty. Can't figure this out. Thanks!

Hi, Shamash,

The profile is about to enter an area where selling and mailing will not be allowed for a while. So, the profile is assuring your bags are empty before embarking. Honorbuddy will do this activity, even though nothing needs to be mailed or sold.

Let the toon conduct the mail/sell actions, and it should be on its way again.

cheers,
chinajade

I used to have problems in WOTLK zones about a month ago. I'm leveling a new toon and it is working flawlessly. Props Mr. Kick. You do amazing work. Donating.

Hi, Killean,

The thanks are appreciated, but credit should go where it is due. Most of the improvements in the past few months have been due to MaxMuster's *very* hard work and attention to detail. Thanks, MaxMuster!

Hello! I'm at level 44 and whenever i load up the profile it starts compiling Feralas quests? While in the profile it says that if the level is 40 or above it should go to Eastern Plague Lands. I tried forcing it to go to EPL by taking the Zep to Tirisfall Glades but then i just get spammed by "Moving to Type: QuestPickUp".

Hi, Riinex, and thanks for the log.

Toon: 44.1 Orc Hunter (Female, Horde)
Specialization: HunterBeastMastery
Tier 1: Posthaste(1)
Tier 2: Intimidation(3)
Location: Eastern Kingdoms => Tirisfal Glades => => <2017.099, 257.1284, 47.81468>
Profile: [H - Quest] 12-58 K and EK [Kick] ($Rev: 3406 $)

You are an Hordie in Eastern Kingdoms. The profile expects to be in Kalimdor. You must have moved the toon there manually, because the profile certainly didn't. Honorbuddy is incapable of intercontinental travel without explicit profile directives. As such, Honorbuddy has no clue how to move your toon back to Kalimdor, and this is what it is complaining about.

[22:22:42.604 N] Moving to Type: QuestPickUp
[22:22:42.605 D] Could not generate path from {2017.099, 257.1284, 47.81468} to {-4590.582, 1833.505, 88.52103} on map Azeroth (Phase: TwilightHighlandsDragonmawPhase) (time used: 0 milliseconds) @ FindEndPoly

...<repeats indefinitely>...

Move the toon back to Kalimdor and start the profile again. You should be off-and-away.

cheers,
chinajade

someone pllz help me

Hi, Shootemdead, and welcome aboard.

It sounds like you are suffering from cache corruption. This article should help you sort the issue:
[post=1356864]HelpDesk: Quest giver is not offering expected quest[/post]

If you are not off-and-away after following the instructions in the article, please see the guide for [post=1259963]Reporting Problems or Seeking Assistance[/post] before following up.

I noticed that in Uldum the Quest called Unlimited Potential to Cage the Pygmies is not working right. he will kill the pygmies and not use the cage when health is low. Not sure if anyone else noticed this.
Hello,
Having a few issues with the questing profile, when I get to Level 20 the bot stops and cannot find the quest path?
Is anyone else having this issue
Hi, Spaniard1 and Ensor,

If you need assistance, please see the guide for [post=1259963]Reporting Problems or Seeking Assistance[/post]. Specifically, we will need to see your full log attached that captures the issue.

My toon just arrived at level 58 and switched to BC.
The first thing was: It bought a Snowy Gryphon at Honor Hold and tries to learn it (which is not possible because it is from level 60).
So the bot is stucking in this loop now.
I also restarted wow and the bot with deleting cache and settings folder, but the problem still exists.
This is the log file.
There are two things:

1. Maybe you can fix this so the bot checks for flying mounts at level 60 and not at level 58 (maybe the problem is also that the account does not have any flying mount because this is the first toon on this account).
2. The toon is druid so there is no need to buy a flying mount. Maybe you could skip buying a flying mount when toon is druid?

Thanks a lot.

Hi, Snt76, and thank you for the log!

This a known problem for Druids with the MountHook behavior. Please see the notes on "MountHook" in [post=1260136]Known Bugs List: Miscellaneous (Rep, Seasonal, etc)[/post] for your work-arounds.

Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Is there a way to disable Flight path use within the profile or is it through HB? I have problems using RAF and Party bot when the questing bot uses a flight path.

Hi, Aileron31527,

Currently, the only way to disable flightpaths is to add a line like this right inside the <QuestOrder> element of the profile:
<DisableBehavior Name="Vendor" />

As the name implies, this disables all vendoring use—including mail/sell/repair.

In the next (post-.745) Honorbuddy drop, the FlightPath can be disabled without disabling all Vendoring by:
<DisableBehavior Name="FlightPath" />

We can not support profiles that have been modified. So if you make changes, you're on your own.

Hey, leveling as a combat rogue from 85-90, is there a reason the bot keeps using a dagger mainhand? And is it controlled by this script? Using the default routines, i don't see any options to change it.
Hi, Mitre27,

With the exception of the DeathKnight starter area, the profile does not make any decisions about what gear is equipped by a toon. These decisions are under the control of HBcore's AutoEquip functionality. AutoEquip is usually very smart about its decisions, and the decisions take spec into account.

If you believe AutoEquip is making improper decisions, please make a new post into the [post=727256]Honorbuddy Bug Reports thread[/post]. You will need to be very specific of what is currently equipped, and what is in your inventory that you feel is a better choice. You will also need to attach both the normal log and the AutoEquip log when making that post.

hello is it possible to run these profiles as a level 90 toon? id like to run all the profiles to help towards lore master
I would also like to do this anyone have a way to go about it?
Hi, Melikespoo and Spacebooger,

You should find this article helpful with your endeavors:

For any zone that has it's own profile you just start it up in the zone...and if it wants to change zones stop the bot and reload the script again in that same zone. It worked fine for me, I've done Cata and Panda loremaster so far.

On another note...the 5-12 human script seems be completely screwed up. The script is literally finishing half a quest, then running around in different directions (opposite of any quest). I've tried deleting my cache but nothing has changed. I never had this problem at high level so I'm not sure what's wrong. I really hope moving to the next zones it won't keep doing this. 80+ was absolutely flawless o.0

Hi, Alerean,

There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Alliance 5-12 profile. It sounds like a problem with your Honorbuddy installation. If you can't figure it out and need assistance, you will need to attach your full log that captures the issue.

I have a question about one of the settings, "Kill between hotspots". I have full BoA (including the helm, cloak and legs), as well as the 20% xp increase from being in a guild. Is it worth keeping this option on?

Hi, Alerean,

KillBetweenHotspots is only used by Honorbuddy when grinding. KillBetweenHotspots is not used by Honorbuddy when doing general travel (e.g., PickUp, TurnIn, Objective, MoveTo, etc.

Profiles only grind when they have to, such as killing mobs for a drop that starts a quest, or for enough levels to make the next quest hub's quests 'safe'. This latter issue will never be a problem with the experience bonuses you have.

So in short, you may actually increase your questing time played by turning it off. As Honorbuddy may ignore mobs that could drop the quest item you seek.

chinajade

bot isnt using my combat routines? no matter what class i run, it wont use spells only auto-attack. anyone know the cause?
You're using it with the Singular CR right?
yes sir, only routine I have.
even just redownloaded latest singular to make sure it wasnt that. Every other profile i run, runs just fine
I just started to have this problem with another script (Cava's Profile). No clue what's going on...

Hi, Cynicz and Alerean,

This problem has absolutely nothing to do with any profile. It sounds like your Honorbuddy installation has become damaged in some fashion.

You should open your own thread in the Support forum and be certain to attach the full log that captures the issue.

Slight issue with my profile at the moment, it doesn't seem to want to Quest? Just grinding all of the time.. don't know if this is a known issue
Hi, Ensor,

Please find your answer in this article:

If you are not off-and-away after taking the suggested remedies, then we'll need to see a full log attached to provide assistance:

Thanks for this, I'm having the same issue. Any idea why it's grinding instead of questing like it should?

Hi, Merlinsnest, and many thanks for the log!

You got caught by a 'level safety' grind to level 71 (you are 69). But, the grind should never be used, as the quests should have given you all the experience you needed.

According to the log, you skipped about 3000 lines of quests. Let's start by clearing your cache, and see what happens next. Please carefully follow the instructions here:
[post=1067458]HelpDesk: Cache corruption problems[/post]

If you are not off-and-away, please show us a fresh log after the cache was cleaned.

I noticed that in the info pane, so I ran the quests manually up to lvl71, restarting at each level to see if it would work(it didn't), then started the bot again at 71. It immediately flew over to Valgard and started grabbing ones I had skipped and ran as it should. Until half way through 72 when it went to Dragonblight to... grind until 73. There are still quests available in the Fjord. SO what is it in this profile that causes it to default to grinding instead of questing? I have done zero quests in Dragonblight also, so it's not an availability issue. Either something in the pack, honorbuddy, or on my side is causing it to not see/ignore questing behavior, but obviously I'm not the only one experiencing this so... ?? I have small children at home and not enough time to pour over logs to determine what is going on myself unfortunately. Anyway, here's my latest log. It should show the stops to check functionality after each level, when it picked up quests at 71, and spazzed again at 72. Thanks for the help.

Have to assume this is the 'next' iteration of the same problem.

cheers,
chinajade

Sorry for the double post, new to log posting and didn't want to screw it up. In outland; I had notice the bot heavily favoring ground mounts instead of flying. This was happening in Nagrand when I noticed, and distance to next spot didn't seem to matter: It would ground mount halfway across the zone, only using flying mount on occasion. I had it set up to use Twilight Drake, and Amber Scorpion if that matters, and toggling "kill between hotspots" didn't affect it.

Hi again, Merlinsnest, and thanks for the log.

It should've been flying. We spot checked a few of your quests that were using ground mounts, and the profile indeed does specify flying for those (Nav="Fly").

We've two possibilities for you:
  • Your cache is corrupt and needs to be cleared.
    Ref: [post=1087063]HelpDesk: Honorbuddy and flying[/post]

  • Your initial attempt to use a (pre-order only) WoD mount (Dread Raven) screwed up Honorbuddy.
If the cache clearing doesn't correct the problem, I'd try a clean install next.
    Ref: Honorbuddy:HelpDesk:"Clean installing" Honorbuddy
It is not smart to try using (legitimate) WoD stuff with Honorbuddy at this time.

cheers,
chinajade
