HB ARCHIVES: Honorbuddy Profile Pack--DO NOT DELETE!

Must say that its almost afk-able in vanilla atm. Leveling a lock and first time I had to help him was at level 50 at flamestar post, Burning Steppes, picking up some quests.
 
First of all, i love this profile. It works smooth 80% of the time and thats really good for a bot.

But i do have one problem. My bot finished Borean Tundra quests and is level 74 but instead of going to dragonblight or zul'drak, he flied all over northrend to howling fjord and is now doing green quests there. What do i have to change in the profile for it to go to a zone appropriate for his level?

Regarding the quest Murder Was The Case That They Gave Me (QuestID:26209) in [A - Quest] EK 12-58 [Kick].xml

As it is now it takes option one which is the combat option.
This worked okay in the past, just took time. However, in these shared zone days, this quest is a pain to complete in this fashion now.
On the servers I play on there's almost always four or five people doing this quest and there's just not enough NPCs to do it.

I suggest changing GossipOptions="1" to GossipOptions="2"
And then add some kind of runMacro script to click the Accept button to pay the two copper.

I'll take a shot at two possibilities.

  • First, your cache may have become corrupt. This article should help you eliminate that possibility:

  • Second, perhaps the stop/starting of Honorbuddy had you skip over content critical for acquiring the necessary Rep.
    I believe this is very likely. If this is the case, then you need to modify the profile such that IgnoreCheckpoints="true". This article should help you achieve that goal:

If neither of these have you on your way, please show us a log, and tell us what you are currently observing.

Hi, chinajade. Thanks for your helpful response, and thanks to Wullie too. Your solutions worked, in a certain way. I modified the profile as you said and as a result, the bot started to work again. He took my toon back to Zangarmash by flypoint and picked up a quest, but then it started acting wierdly: he was trying to point a direction, but the camera point of view turned sideways and he was running in the wrong direction. As a result the bot log started to fill up with navigation errors "We are stuck". I stopped the bot, tried deleting the caches as described in the post you linked, and then restarted the bot again, it seemed ok at first so I went to "my office" (the bathroom) for a while and when I got back he was acting same as before!

I attached a log, please help me out I want to try this warrior @lvl 90 so desperately!!! :D

This profile for the bot, really makes the bot high!
So, i recently asked in here if it was normal that this profile made the bot retarded....
Trying to fly through objebts, stuck every hour, trying to attack through a roof, etc...
now im going to upload my log, as somebody told me to, even when i really thing it wont help anything...
- well, right now, im trying to bot my character (75 blood elf priest) and the bot really thinks it is smart to use my ground mount, run into a wall for a while, then realise to turn around, kill some 79 mobs (storm peaks) then continue doing nothing by running whitout mount.

So take a look at my log and please come with a solution!

EDIT: Just started the bot in Dalaran, it decided to mount Frostwolf, ran under Dalaran (Sewers), killed somed random level 80 mob, ran further through the sewers, and out of the tunnel under Dalaran, straight into open air, felt down and died.

Hey, I had issues running the Alliance version of said profile.
But all my issues have been fixed in the latest version. The bot is in Grizzly Hills at the moment, without issues.
I see you're running rev. 2752, the latest at the time of this post is rev. 2766

Dont know if its a profile issue, but in Uldum he is flying back an forth, always trying to mail items.
I noticed it in another zone too but cant remember which one.

No idea where to start on this one, guess it's either quest behavior related, or CR related.

Questing in Townlong Steps, level 90 demo warlock, using singular.

Trying to do this quest: My Father's Crossbow - Quest - World of Warcraft

Starts of really well, and then it just stops doing any attacking, just moves behind the mobs as per the quest behaviour, but doesn't ever start to attack again. Eventually it dies, but oddly seems to *stay inside* that CustomBehaviour, and runs back to the coords, gets corpse, and then does nothing.

I've had a brief look over the GetOutOfGroundEffectAndAuras behaviour, and it does suggest that it's supposed to release and resume on death, so perhaps those coords are a little far away from the StartNpcId (looks over 40 yards), but that doesn't explain why it's stopping attacking.

Hopefully you'll have some ideas :)

I'll leave the toon here, so I can test any potential fix.

Hi Raekwon,

There are a couple of things that jump out immediately from your log.

Firstly, you're running a rather old version of the profile:

The current revision is 2771, so I'd suggest changing that in the first instance. I actually suspect that would have fixed your initial problem as well (and explains why the bit I linked in my previous reply wasn't getting hit) so I'd be tempted to not make any manual changes after you update, and just start the profile. In theory it'll go to Hellfire and do the rep quests then back to Nagrand.

Please note that when you do the update you'll likely get a conflict and need to select that you want to use "their" version.

The other thing that jumps out is:

Seems you've a plugin that isn't loading right. I'd suggest removing it, or checking for updates. In theory this shouldn't cause issues, but I've had problems myself with botbases and plugins failing to load, and then stopping other stuff loading right too, so it's worth fixing.

I get this exact same issue, it's not actually profile related, as far as I know. I reported it here a few weeks ago: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/honorbuddy-forum/70565-bug-reports-honorbuddy-bug-reports-5.html#post1269603

Very nasty one as obvious bot like behavior in a quite busy area. It may be worth you also reporting it on the bugs thread to try and draw more attention to it (not sure of the etiquette on this though?)

Since it appears there's no quick fix forth coming I wonder if we could alter the profile so it avoids mailing when in this area, or at least give a pop up warning to users so they don't AFK anywhere around here; even 5 minutes is really dangerous.

I'm not Wullie but I think I know the answer. I just did these quests manually a day or so ago for fun (yes, really). When I did the first interact with Fran the first line was the exclamation point with her watering quest and the second line was a standard gossip that required clicking, something like "Hey Fran, can I have your stuff?" The gossip had to be clicked to get credit for Hop Hunting. This was also true for other objectives of the Hop Hunting quest.
 
Out of curiosity, is it the profiles or HB itself that makes the bot dismount every single time it hands in a quest?
I don't quest with any other profiles so I don't really have a way to test to see which it is.

It's HB itself. I've often wondered why it does this, but presumed there must have been a reason :)
 
needs to be updated. in the lich king profile it is not changing zones with acquired level. im level 75 in howling fjord.. at svn revision 2772
 
Hey, first time user. I'm currently running the 1-58 Horde pack. It starts off fine, runs to repair but then suddenly just takes no further action. There's no error in Honorbuddy, however it just says
Starting the bot!
Currently Using BotBase : Questing
Changing current profile to [H - Quest] 12-58 K and EK [Kick] ($Rev: 2737 $)
[Singular] attention: Pull Distance set to 45 yds by Questing, Plug-in, Profile, or User
[Profile Message]: Loading Un'Goro Quests

And then proceeds to idle. Any help? I've given it a stop and start a few times but still no avail.

Tried meddling with the code and havent found anything that could help out in this instance ;S still having this problem
