Fix the download capabilities already!

ehhh, mate you either awnser the question or something I mean often you just get away with yes, no filler etc and no real awnser would be nice instead of saying that or so to give me a real good reason and anwser.
 
as i said before its Bossland's desicion to keep the forums opened
if this isnt a good reason or if its not enough for you
you must contact Bossland directly

What exactly do you want tony to do? This is what you call shooting the messenger.
 
I'm really shooting him ofcourse duhh, tony can get awnsers too. tony has more rights and is a mod so think he can do that too but now he showed he won't ill take the chance to do so then.

its so simple and i dont get why this need further explanation
 
Well will you forward this thread to bossland and have him come and give us an explanation why he wants to keep them open when the community doesnt?

If he doesnt want to do it because he doesnt know how, all he has to do is ask.

I dont think anyone has a problem with the forums being open to view, just lock the downloads.

You can easily set in the permissions rights to view the downloads thread but not download from that thread, thats all we are asking for.

Could just make it the download sections require a user group of 'paid' or something
 
Maybe it has "legal rights" why it stays open... If this community is "private" blizzard may attack bossland or else...
 
whoever is cracking HB and GB has an account here, so locking the forums will not stop cc/plugin/profiles from being spread.
As soon as people notice that locking the forums downloads isn't preventing the unauthorized distribution, they will start a witch hunt to find who is
distributing it.

The end result will be that a lot of cc/profile/plugin creators will move their work offsite.
So I can't blame boss for not wanting to go there :)

how i could give you an answer from Bossland if he didnt know about that thread?
 
Again..... Shit will leak no matter what, but people will, as you say "start a switch hunt to find who is" and most wont. So therefor less people are getting them. Then even more of those people will get outdated scripts and not be able to easily get an update.

Im sure you told him about the thread, but has he actually heard anything that any of the community has said? If he has read the thread, then why didnt he himself reply?


Either way, if downloads stay open the way they are, im not releasing anything else and im pulling my current releases.
