Fix the download capabilities already!

Why are guests and any random forum member allowed to download ANYTHING from the forums? You should only be allowed to download content if you have a subscription.

Half of the botters are using cracked versions, all of which get their profiles from this site. Ive looked thru all the major cracked threads today, and I saw people say OVER and OVER again to come here to get the profiles/cc.

Its stupid. If you could set download capabilities then 75% of the cracked botters wont know wtf to do. I just cant believe this hasnt already be done.

This makes me angry. I havnt released many profiles, but I guess you can say I have released a decent amount in a short period of time. That wont be happening anymore. I enjoy supporting this community and the people who have a legit HB/GB but I refuse to post stuff just so the leechers can destroy the economy before us.

I too saw a few threads about cracked versions today saying just go here and get the profiles.

I remember when I signed up that you couldn't download anything until you were authorised, you defo need to put that back into the mix.
 
I'm such a bitch I would make the forums a paid subscription........ but if not then block it from "guest" and non paid users..... just my 2cents....

I also agree with this. There's missing a concept for download permissions. Just include some testprofiles to GB/HB package and keep the rest saved for the paying community.

I remember some time ago, maybe a year, there has been a bot which was developed based on GB profiles and they offered all profiles which were posted here..
 
agreed, i dont want my roomate come to me saying "hey, my hb works the same as yours but its free!"

I'd lock the forum entirely to non registered users (aside from threads like "Success Stories" etc, for obvious reasons), not only downloads.

Theres a bot right now on mmowned that uses HB or GB profiles.
 
already mentioned it like 1 month ago, unfortunely all I could receive from HB team was that they were taking actions against the people who cracked it ...
 
you shouldn't be able to access the real forums at all without a sub.
 
This is the kind of problem that would take large corporations months to fix. It should take the HB team 5 minutes. Please lock all forums except success stories to currently subscribed members.
 
allow only lv1-20 profiles and success stories to public access.
(im trying to suggest to make plugin offlimit to guest but it seems too much... but HB is great because of its plugins, if it helps sell more HB, i'd say open it for all, otherwise, only pin/sticky few plugins for public access)
