Also, did this happen before the new version of HB came out yesterday?
 
I am using the 765 since most of my CR's are fucked up with the newest version
 
It's working now in terms of healing and following.
But in dungeons the bot will go full retard at some point and will stick random targets or runs into mobs for whatever reason.
Atm it is way to much effort and wipes needed.

This is a SUPPORT THREAD meaning please report issues like this like described in the first post of the author. Make sure you add a logfile showing the problem.
A general "it does this or that" or "does not work for me" does not help and the author cannot work with such messages or even fix things.
 
question: if I want to have one of the team (dps toon) 'defend the team' - eg not necessarily attack the leader's target but attack anyone who threatens anyone in the group - what settings do I use? I presume I don't check 'assist the leader' - do I just leave everything unchecked?

As an aside, my healer is doing a good job healing while following.

It is designed to stick to one character like glue and to attempt to get involved with whatever they are doing. You can set the leader to the tank for example and it will engage off of his target - but it wont attack anything that the leader isn't in combat with.

I guess that's adequate for PvE - but even there, there are moderately often adds the team wants to kill while the leader is engaged with the main boss (like killing the exploding birds in the sky dungeon). It's a real problem for PVP.

If you are doing any development . . . . a 'defender' role (like the healing role) would be nice.

What happens right now if I don't check 'assist leader' - does it then not do anything except defend itself if attacked directly?
 
^^ follow up question . . . . so if I have one of the dps team running the DG bot, rather than Shadow bot . . . . will it or can I set it to 'defend the group and kill adds'? If so, it is better that toon be ranged or melee (I presume ranged)?

Just trying to figure out how best to set up a five toon team for DG runs.
 
30 bucks is too much for it imo since its not working as the paid AND the "*****ed" (streamed) version for me.
But give it a try, it sounds nice but sadly how i said its not working for me.

I'm out.
 
I might just be dumb, but when all my 5 bots are up and running and connected to the leader, how do i get them to go and do quests? Is it not automatic? Or do I have to play the leader by myself?

They will pick up quests the leader runs up to and turn them in when the leader stops at a quest turn in. They wont run through all the quest objectives on their own. THAT bot is currently under development.

Can you describe what problem you are having? Is the streaming problem your having with all of your plugins/botbases or just this one?
 
Just with this one. My "RaF Bot" interacts with the quest guy but i have to click "accept" for the quest by myself.
It means the bot "tries" to accept the quest, but i have to click "accept" for myself, same problem with quest turn in.

I am aware of this problem - its only certain quests that it happens. I have a work around in the quest bot - but it throws an error even though it works. I did not put this into the RAF bot since the questing is a side benefit not the main focus. However, if you are seeing this on many quests I will look into implementing this new fix.
 
i get a erro, when i stop de bot and start it again then i get rhis error:

"Exception was thrown in BotBase.Start. Bot cannot start.
System.ArgumentException: This handler has already been attached to this event
Parameter name: handler
at Styx.WoWInternals.LuaEvents.AttachEvent(String eventName, LuaEventHandlerDelegate handler, String filter)
at Eclipse.ShadowBot.UIHooks.AttachUIEvents()
at Eclipse.ShadowBot.EclipseShadowBot.Start()
at Styx.CommonBot.TreeRoot.()"

After this error it want start agian, only if i close the bot and start it allover agian.

Sounds like the lua hooks are not being removed in your case. I will look into this.

Also its not picking up quest auto, i have to press accept on all quest.
(starting zone Cows <-- Thunderbluff)

wat it does is walking to the quest giver and click it auto, but accept the quest doesnt work. :(

i tested the bot futher but it want connect any more :(

on the leader its says:

i tryed restarts of the bot, stoped and started nothing works cleaning the cash map en de log map from HB, also not working.
i also deleted the .edb file to reset the shadow bot.

both chars are standing next to other.

Can you help fix this ?

I now have quite a bit of experience running 3 to 6 toon teams in various situations.

I have Shadowbot working quite well, except with the leader dies. The usually the whole team dies pretty quickly, even if they really could have held their own - so I am wondering if there is a way to automatically change the bot base to another (like BFfarmer) if the leader dies . . or to have shadow change its own internal routines to be more survival oriented and more independent when the leader dies? Perhaps there is something I have not figured out yet?

The only other issue I have is when one of the team gets killed, I have to close and restart HB. Shadow bot refuses to restart otherwise.

For others trying this . . . . can say that a healer on the team is really nice. One of my favorite configurations is two ranged DPS plus a healer, one of the ranged manually controlled as the leader. I can kill the other side pretty much forever in Ashran with that . . . until I make a bad mistake and let the leader get killed by one of the super bosses.
 
I have raf'd with this from 1-85 on multiple set ups. on each set up i would say 95% of all quests i have to hit accept to pick up quests and to turn them in, its incredibly annoying.
