[Discussion] Life-time keys expiring now

Of course everyone has their own opinions. But fact is fact, Bossland lied to his customers, regardless of how many good excuses he has.

i bought 20!! accounts august 2015 and expired today. I would never had bought 20 accounts if i had known this!

This is total scam, I bought a lifetime key in 2014 and it says it expired in 2016. Please correct this.

Lifetime key was told to be ten years by Bossland in 2016. But he changed his mind and now you are forced to pay more money if you want to use his services. If you think it is unfair, well you have to accept it. Hes the boss anyway.

Bossland is probably thinking that these whining from his legacy customers who have been with him through his joys and tears for the past 4 years, will last for a month or a few months at worst then people will forget about this and he will get a lot of money from subscription based services again. Happy ending. :)

To be fair i'm rather annoyed with being told that " life time " key holders would keep there remaining lifetime status, then for it to be snatched from beneath us one day before.

I fail to see how this is legal as i purchased life time key's that were supposed to last for 10 years.

DB Key 1 - purchased 11/12/2013 11:07:50
DB Key 2 - purchased 11/16/2013 07:27:55
HB Key 1 - Purchased 01/21/2015 07:12:43

So what now? I refuse to purchase an updated key as what is preventing you from selling me a one year subscription then deciding that actually you have now changed that one year key to a one month key or a one week key?

As well i would appreciate it if you replied to this thread and not close it as the thread you keep linking & informing people they can discuss it there before closing no one can actually reply to.

Regards
Andy

It's pretty fucked up that he lied and changed his mind, but give it a few weeks and everything will be back to normal. Maybe some people will leave because they feel betrayed, but it's only a matter of time before business is booming again. I'd probably be more upset if I bought 10+ keys, but I'm a casual and only have one. What's the point of having that many keys in the first place besides selling powerleveling or something?

You lied to your customers. I get that you're hurting for cash, but screwing over your existing customer base is NOT the way to save a business. I had four lifetime keys purchased, and you will not receive another cent from me. You take lifetime keys away from those who bought them, with just a few days notice. So, the next time that you're really hurting for cash, will you take away the yearly keys? Will I wake up one day and find out two months into my yearly key that you need money so now my yearly key expires in three days? The risk is not worth the reward.

So, what you've done is create a situation that erodes the customer's confidence in your business. How exactly is this going to help save the business? I know that I'm not purchasing any more keys, and none of my friends who used Bossland products will be purchasing any more keys. A new customer who might buy your product now has to decide if it's worth the risk of purchasing a key, because who knows when you'll arbitrarily decide that the money that you agreed to upon purchase isn't good enough any more and remove time from the key.

Also, the attitude given by the staff is absolutely uncalled for. People have a right to be upset. YOU LIED TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. You sold a product key for a specific amount of time, and then you decided to not honor the amount of time that you sold the key for. You deserve every bit of criticism that you're getting, and the unprofessional attitudes that you're displaying are another strike against you.

And just to pre-empt the comments, I know I only have two forum posts. I drive a Toyota Camry every day, and I'm not active on the Toyota forums either. Community interaction was not a condition of buying my keys, so that's a really weak argument to use against people who are upset that you cheated them.

Well... that shouldn't be allowed, if you sell a product at a price don't come later on asking for more because at the moment we pay for it we can't know that you greedy bitches will change the agreement in a way it's not worth paying. I guess this is a lesson, don't rely on this kind of busines regardless of how profesional it looks... in the end you can get screwed.

Congratulations on losing a shitload of clients and future clients that for sure wont trust you. Enjoy the fall.

A judicial decision of one country harms customers from all over the world

What Bossland should have done is given all lifetimers a warning email 30 days before their existing keys were going to expire along with a free 1 year key as an apology for the situation and for changing the terms of the sale.

Think about all the old users who feel cheated by this turn of events... do you think they will risk purchasing any of the other bots in future? The way this whole thing has been rolled out is the wrong move.

The urgency of Bossland paints a picture that Blizzard is hurting them massively with legal fees. Bossland, by alienating your user base you're giving Blizzard what they want. People have lost confidence in you, why would we purchase another key(s) and invest money in a broken promise. Its like getting mugged on the street then trusting the mugger with your wallet a few days later.

I question whether they will be able to sustain the Bossland projects even after cheating all their old users.

Many people will also complain to governing bodies, local trading standards along with starting Paypal disputes which will freeze Bosslands account. The knock on effect will be worse due to not having the facility to accept payments through Paypal or transfer funds to bank account. Eventually they will shut down the account which will lead to more of an inconvenience for Bossland and halt sales which is the opposite of what they want. Does Bossland need more court hearings and more legal fees?

At the very least to restore confidence Bossland should be offering 1 year key free of charge to all lifetimers, that way we'll come back after a year and not feel cheated. This is surely better than people just leaving and not paying Bossland ever again?

Paying for a new key isn't the issue for most people, its the way he disabled keys without any warning other than on the forum which not everyone reads.

Ignoring complaints will just escalate the matter even further, this is inevitable with the way things are going.

This is valuable feedback for Bossland its just a shame he's not taking any of it seriously.

I have multiple issues with this decision.
1. Why did this have to happen so sudden. Couldn't you announce this a few week prior? Perhaps even with a message inside demonbuddy?
2. Court costs suck, that is true, but isn't that somehow your own fault by starting a botting company in germany?
3. At very least you could have given people that have to transit from lifetime to yearly a discount as compensation
4. I won't repurchase demonbuddy because of the poor state of the bot currently. I would probably consider a purchase if the bot would be working smooth (new season builds, bounties, cubing). But paying full price for a product that feels like its abandoned?

I agree 100% with you.

The fact Bossland "Did Not" give us any warning, but instead just dropped the bomb that it is over shows there is more going on behind the scenes.
If this is simply a matter of :
1) If we did not do this we would go out of business in less than a year.
2) This is what we must do and in time you will understand and still be botting!

Then I will stay with DemonBuddy! xD we will see what happens in time.!

Well I and a few others spoke with some lawyers today, so we may be heading to court against them. Totally unfair and a breach of contract. Now I don't even have bots to use with their system, honorbuddy and demonbuddy, soooooo it's time to either get it shut down, or get them reinstated

Funny how the excuse was the courts ordered them to end all life time " 10 year" keys..
Doesn't really sound like something the court would say.. "actually continue pissing off blizzard but just end all your life time subscribers"

Just money grabbing... I'd like a refund since you are not about to provide me the service i paid for anymore?

This is Priceless!
