[Discussion] Life-time keys expiring now

Not open for further replies.
I found that I paid by g2s.com
Can I still get refund for it? Because honestly lets admit that this is not what I had paid for any more. So it is OK for me to get my money back right?

You just lost a customer who supported you

You robbed me of what I paid for. You are thieves for this. Your current rates are laughable. This is garbage. You have lost all respect I once had for you. I will never recommend this product to anyone else, as I have done in the past. I hope your company goes under. Since I did not pay for a temporary key, nor does it state that in the verification e-mail that I STILL HAVE, I want my money back.

So disappointed.

Jumped back to Diablo after a year to find I cannot bot it.

Not cool

Well, regardless of how any lifetime key holders may feel about this decision by demonbuddy, here's why they don't give a shit. Even if a lifetime key holder does not return and pay either the monthly or annual fee, they don't care. You are already loss to them by being a lifetime key holder. You are not generating any revenue for them and they already have your money. If demonbuddy is still growing, it really doesn't matter if you pay them more money or return. Granted, one COULD argue that the purchase of a large amount of lifetime keys got them to where they are today but that doesn't matter to them. They are here to make money, and regardless of them not upholding their word and having extremely poor customer service, there are a couple of things to think about. One: You acknowledge the fact that lifetime key holders are not generating you money, so you take that away. What that does is pretty much guarantee's they won't return to give you more money since you have violated the trust you once had. Two: Since you have acknowledged the fact that lifetime key holders are a loss to the company, and the risk of losing even more potential customers, it doesn't make sense to take that away since you understand forcing someone to do something will drive them away. Also risking the spread of word of mouth advertisement by those key holders.

What they have done is an act of desperation and just crappy in general. The right thing to do would have been to introduce this new payment plan to new users or those who did not purchase lifetime keys. A move like this tarnishes a company in a poor way. No one likes being lied to. Especially when the people you lied to allowed your company to get to where its at today. I understand the barrage of lawsuits is a huge undertaking, but be smart about your business decisions. I know I alone have recommended this service to over a dozen people in the past who I know have tried this out. I can guarantee that will no longer happen, and in fact the opposite will. How do you think you keep getting new customers? Its not like you can really advertise this service. I was recommended by a friend, and they were and so on.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my thoughts and let you know I am disappointed. Its not often I wish ill will on a person or business, but you really haven't left me a choice in that matter. Good luck with the lawsuits.

One clear sign Demon Buddy has far less users is the forum has almost no new posts. In fact the most number of new posts are by the spammers or ad wise ass wipe's.

So on one hand DB knows they have screwed a lot of people. Perhaps this is a condition that could change in time.

I totally agree with everything you said. And I myself, also have been recommending this service to my friends and guild members, around over 10-15 people. I would also guaranteed that it would never happened again but the other way around. I would tell everyone I know either is using, thinking of using, or even not interested at all how bad your business practice is. And yes I know I'm just a sand in the desert which you don't give a damn. But well, I had to accept that. You probably not even read this any way.

Guys i agree with most of u.. I dont like this low blow from Bossland either but can we do instead of playing the games manually? I bought a lifetime key too and now? For his legal problems we have to pay for it.. Bah... Just probably with this stuff bossland will lose old customers...

That's not really a clear sign. Consider the fact that the bot was more buggy before. You had to upload routine profiles, or customize them yourselves, you had to put in adventure, trinity all separate from the main download. Now you download the bot and it has everything to make it run extremely optimal. It even takes into account your gear and build and auto-selects for you. I've spent way less time on the bot and have reaped the benefits of literally having to just turn it on and let it go, making minor changes here and there to optimize, but the bot has improved immensely and has decreased the need to even come to the forums. If you're so ticked off that a business is making a decision that will help them make more money and continue to improve the product, then that is just simply you lacking the ability to comprehend anything other than what impacts you and the botting community. They gave everyone a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why they had to do this. Don't take it personal, of course a company would be worried about making sure people still have jobs than the common consensus of a botting community. Just my two cents, take it or leave it.

Obviously every one want to make more money and improve their products. I haven't seen anyone who wants otherwise, unless they have problems with their brains. And then there are thing called business ethic which not all companies practice this. So things called terms of services, consumers protections, etc. popped up here and there.

To make it simple and clean with an example, you paid in full to rent a place with 10 years term. Then got kicked out after 2 years, because the landlord think it's should be this way for him to make more money and improve the house. Hope this is simple enough. Put yourself in the tenant shoes then you will have more understanding.

Bossland wants money, they gonna die now with this change.

Maybe this is what they want. Here's my guess:

* They cancel lifetime keys, everyone is angry
* They close the company / go out of business
* They start a new company and sell new keys
* This time they do monthly subscriptions

They can stop supporting all the lifetime accounts that don't make them any more money when they close this business. They can hide from all the angry customers that were lied to by hiding behind the new company. And they can start over with a monthly subscription now that they realize one-time purchases don't make sense for their business model. I don't think they expect to make more money from the customers with expired keys. I think they're trying to speed up the death of this business so they can start over.

It costs a lot lot more to start a new company.

Terrible example.

There are laws that protect from housing issues, so you would never see that. Besides if you have enough money to pay rent 10 years in advance please just buy your own house. Why would there be laws to protect botters. Also you talk about ethics yet you bot. Kind of hypocritical wouldn't you say? Ethics goes out the window as soon as you decide you want to waste your time cheating in video games.

First of all, it is just an example. In reality it may or may not happen. Then for your reply:
- The law isn't exist or applied in everywhere.
- Its not about having enough money to buy a house or not, its the breach of contract that is the point I tried to tell you. May be it was too complicated so lets make another simpler example, your friend Bossland promised to give you 10 candies if you gave him $30. You trusted your friend and gave him $30 in full and he only gave you 2 candies. He said because its better this way, you can either walk away or buy one candy for $20.

- Now about ethic its different from people. For me to cheat on a computer game to have more time to enjoy my daily life and enjoy the progress the bot help me out is OK ethically. But cheating on people money or lie to them is a problem to me.
And again, its my ethical reasoning. Remember this. Yours?! May be its unethical for me to cheat in video game but totally fine for Bossland to cheat on his customer money and faith. How does that sound?

- Regarding laws to protect botters. Botting is not a crime, to people and to your bank. It's a service you paid for to use, that is why some banks will refund you money if you file them a claim with good backup evidence. Are you saying that because it's a botting services and you are a botter, then if you paid real money for a botting service, and the day after you are kicked out, you should not be protected and should just walked away or pay again? :)

Honestly you are making people feel worse if not worst.
If you really think breach of contract is an OK and acceptable action for botting services. Then I'm speechless. Its my two cents, take it or leave it.
