Developer Rules Update

Yea, if the law worked like that, but it doesn't.

You could write a CC, Profile, Plugin without ever having downloaded honorbuddy.

If you release here, its done under a BSD license that requires you to give it out for free and that anyone who copies your code to give you full credit.

What if you svn?
Then you haven't released anything here...

I've disabled my SVN's until this is sorted out.

i think the only people who whine about this is the one who want to get money on their cc/plugins/bots/profiles :D

idk why people keep posting on this thread

rules are rules

we had our reasons for this update on rules

OMG, how long does it take for devs to get the message. Cant you see? Look! another great cc dev just disabled his SVN, you are losing them faster than i can count.
Just put it back, do the sensible thing. If your customers dont like what your doing, change what your doing

I hope every cc developer will delete his cc from this forum.
Because they are right when they don't want to use their code without permission.

Just my two cents worth.

@ Everyone - I know where you're coming from... it's not cool for someone to steal your code and re-use it as their own - but hopefully this will promote people assisting with CC's instead of going 'hey i changed 3 lines and this is now my project' ... as most ppl don't want the hassle of supporting said CC

It's mainly for cc devs who have gone MIA for months on end for people that want to continue their project

I see both sides of the picture. Keep your CC's here and go with it for a month... I'd assume that people will want to help you fix your project instead of steal it and make it their own. Because if people want to steal it and make it their own, they would have already.

We have singular - the other projects are that... your projects. I had my profiles up for over a year and no one has 'stolen' them... so if you do a good enough job - people will help you help them. If you ignore them, they will take it into their own hands to fix your stuff since you failed them by not updating it

See it from both sides before taking down your work!

Yep, thats a dead end...sad to see that only singular will remain at the end.

I would like to see someone try to steal a moderator's profile

What i mean is.. If anyone stole either you or kicks code u would just ban/suspend and delete their thread. We cant do shit

my profiles are always available to everyone
many times people copied them and used them and gave credits or not

that the meaning of a public profile

and be serious,we never banned people for copying staff's work

Does that mean people who uploaded their own code can now request a complete removal of all files stored on your server, which are subject to that license change?

seriously, we have to follow the rules too, they state i cant do anything. if you wanted to copy kicks profile or amplify go right ahead, we wont do anything to you.

You can PM me and I will ban/suspend them. Rules are rules and they apply to moderators as well.

Here's the deal with my CC's, none of my code is hosted anywhere on any of your severs, so it would be illegal for you to force a different licence on any of the work that I deploy. If anyone were to take my CC, modify and rehost I hope that you respect my wishes and have it removed as you had in the past (powerfrost).
Well the forum rules says you're not allowed to link to files hosted outside this website.
