Unfortunately it is obvious that BW has been temporarily put on the back burner since DemonBuddy exploded (in a few different ways) like it did. While the Buddy team rocks at what they do, there are only so many of them, and only so many hours in the day.

With that said I don't think we'll see anything happen this weekend with fixes for BW. If we do, great, but I'd recommend checking back in a couple of days so you don't frustrate yourself checking every few hours hoping to get a fix to play the game.

Even though that's a dissapointment I do totally understand. Sounds like it's happening to everyone and not just me so I'll check back this week. Just hope I can get another trial day for free :P
 
Yeah it's a shame the questing profiles haven't been updated for a while. It's really frustrating to quest when you have to check the bot and manually do things every 10 mins.

I update my questing profiles everyday

It just takes *forever* to do anything in this game
 
I dont think its questing profile issues. Just pretty much every quest in game requires object use, or some interaction. So its hard for bot to do.
 
Could we get a developer update on the progress made and where they expect things to be going from here?

i wrote the medicine and lethality CC for operative; i wish i went the other character for agent... spy? sniper? whatever it was

i also helped write a little bit of the tank cc's for consular shadow/kinetic and inquisitor assassin/darkness

Neo and the gang wrote the others

That's the problem then... I'm not using any of those... Grrr... Well I guess I have to wait till he's back from being out of country in another couple of weeks.

I really pray this bot works soon...its forcing me to hand play waaaay too much :P

So has everyone just given up on this BOT? I haven't seen posts on it in 2 days. I keep reading all these posts about how the Diablo BOT is causing SWTOR to not get the attention as me and others would like. Well personally I am not into Diablo 3 at all and would love to have an Honorbuddy worthy BOT for SWTOR it seems that this is just a pipe dream. Did the community just die? And Devs don't take this as a bashing. I support and understand the time it takes ya'll to get things done. It's just when I don't see interest in the community I get annoyed. Anything new happening at all?
 
I've been waiting for a version that fixes some of the issues as well as the WingIt developer to come back from his 2 weeks away.

It was really bad timing that they put out a version within a day or two of him leaving on vacation (or whatever it is) that broke a good chunk of the WingIt profiles. It seems that the ones that still work are the ones that someone like Kick is writing to help with leveling while he does quest profiles. Problem is for those of us that aren't using any of those classes, we're stuck here with our thumbs up our bums until something gets fixed (or we magically learn to make the class profiles ourselves like CnG helpfully suggested in another thread).

So at the end of the day I'm looking at about one and a half weeks of not being able to use the bot that has a limited lifespan on it. That's the real rub... I wouldn't care if my license was a lifetime account, but it isn't. It is for a single year (since that's all you can buy). So every day that I can't use the bot is a day that I paid for that is getting unfulfilled.

i've only just bought it, so i can't say it's been a great experience, after working out the nav system was out of commission (???) and manually "leading" the bot around for a while, then trying it again the next day, then working out my ***** was cutting it off, and then the app crashing every so often, or getting stuck on vendors, etc.

buying an app that only half works. not so great an experience.

i figured out that there's a number of CVS updates for profiles and questing areas, i'll try it out on the dailies later on i suppose.

i'm not a fan of the stuttering from portable cover for IA, i can now see what it's attempting, but it's akward, when it could use a roll-to cover instead, and swap in/out the combat "table" and the attack options when stances change. i can see WingIt will improve from what the CVS edits had in mind, but it will take time. lots of room for improvement, but it's looking pretty tweakable.

i tried out 3 new classes, and i did level a sniper up to 17 overnight, so that worked out ok.
overall, i get it. i'll probably boost a few toons up over the week and see what the other guides are like.

if i have any other drama with it, i probably will.

i had to set an exception for nav.buddywing.com because i use a filter for web traffic, which, once added, helped.

once it started moving on it's own ... it worked great.
 
Hmmm still nothing new with bot? Is this ever going to change? I mean I did pay for a working bot....

everyone who has bought a key... bought a grinding / farming bot

not a fully integrated questing / etc bot

Buddy Wing is a farming tool for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Buddy Wing automates routine tasks, that otherwise have to be done by human players themselves. Buddy Wing allows you to do your daily quests, both for Jedi Republic or the Sith Empire. Buddy Wing covers the dailies on Ilum and Belsavis;it allows you to run profiles that grind mobs and it opens chests.
Buddy Wing also comes with an build-in engine and profiles to level your character from level 1 to level 50. Not all leveling profiles are done yet, but they will be done and tested by 1st July 2012. Leveling is still possible even if not yet fully automated as an 1-click solution.

If you have any other issues with daily quests, grinding / farming chests... then please let us know. As I grinded from 42-50 in a few days, I found no issues other than minor CC issues.

As far as full questing, gathering, ships, etc ... it's otw. But you did not pay full price for it. Once they're in, we'll boost the price from promo to regular and support questing/etc.

I'm just about done with empire 10-50 (Agent). I think i'll probably dev inquisitor while I have Agent 10-50 light run itself and i'll re-dev the light specific quests like I did with the republic consular

The biggest issue is that we don't have a 20k customer base like hb has, or a 5-10k customer base like demonbuddy has... (guesstimations, I don't know the real #'s). So stuff goes slow. Also, this game is slow to do anything in :(
