- Bot could skip cinematics (you can too with Space), select 1 for every question. Avoiding Elites with proper Navigation isn't hard.
- Not difficult at all, i'm sure they could easily detect such nodes and if not, a simply blacklisting function would be easy to add if gather wasn't successful, just like GB2 has.
- All of it can and will be botted, i'm sure.
- Well that one I can't retort to lol.
Smarter
Skipping cinematic cuts would not be wise yet, you can get bugged out on a quest this way, though there is one point you can exploit this and gain a lot of points for one of your companions.
What I mean is that in some cases skipping cut scenes only puts you within a loop and it can cause a lot of problems for you.
I don't think that a SWTOR bot would be worth the resources at this time. I think that we are going to see a huge decline in the player base.
It's design is that of a single player game "MMO" seems to be more of an after thought.
Only thing that I can see botting at this point(Without a decent combat system for the bot) having is the crafting quests and crafting itself being able to set it to automatically send your guys out once they have returned. You would for sure need have a combat system in place for any gathering and nodes are not so plentiful.
So, the point is , even though a lot of use are eager to see what is going to happen here with the jedibuddy, forcebuddy, sithbuddy or whatever they would name it, I think it is best to wait a few months in until they have some sort of Benchmark or enough information for
a proper forecast of sales to see if it is even plausible to cover expenses and development. The sales generated from existing customer may not be enough to make it worth the expense.
Keep in mind when you are looking at the reactions to this game on the forums that people with something positive to say are more likely to post positive comments and that with every negative complaint there are usually at least 46 other people with a complaint that will not communicate it. There is a lot of negative feelings towards SWTOR and it really does not look like it is going to be as successful as it was thought to be. I think the best thing to do for bossland to do is wait till enough information is gathered for reliable forecast, do the marketing swot analysis, then start development on the bot with the combat system as focus to support all other future features like pvp and gathering. Maybe take the risk throw together something simple that would allow you to step a way for an hours and so while the bot was sending your companions out on quests to keep players occupied while wait for the release of a stable bot.
