blizzard wins, admit defeat.

I agree with another poster who said it has always been detected - make sense. Hence the sentence, "as safe as it has always been" - it's never been safe in the first place.

It's just previously Blizzard were cautiously watching/monitoring to see the effect on WoW's communities and now that the bot's community become big, it has become difficult to just ignore it. Blizz is now under lots of pressure by its own community to decimate bot userbase. So you can almost say that we brought this on ourselves by selling gold (upsetting Blizz), pissing people off in PvP, destroying other people's income by flooding AH, etc. Why do you think that botting on PvP or selling TONS of goods on AH is almost the surest way to get banned? Try to walk on the other shoes.

If all botters are/were laying low, don't attract attention to themselves, don't do stupid things like posting video in YouTube showing botting in action or showing how to install and run bots, etc - we might be in a better position right now.

Anyhoo, live by the sword, die by the sword I guess. I'm not trying to portray myself as holier than thou as I'm botting as well and I have more than my fair share of getting banned. I just want enough for token so I don't get the pressure of having to play to justify paying the subs, so I stay low and I try not to attract attention to myself and be happy with "small-ish" amount of gold. I still like HB, it's one of the best bots out there.

On a side note, I personally believe that WoW should be buy to play like D3.

Just my 2 cents..

Regards,
JG

I've giving up some time ago I botted for years with Mr. Fishit(Never received a ban) before going to honor buddy.
Honorbuddy lasted me a few years, but this past year has just been terrible I was hit in about 4 ban waves lucky my main account was not hit.

I was just about to start botting again today getting my VM setup and checked the forums to be sure there was no ban wave.
I should have guessed there would be another one, it's just ridiculous how many ban waves have been in the past 12 months.

hb is not safe at all, actually it is detected and tripwire don't work as intended.
I'm waiting for a strong answer from hb team about that, more that their cool story about ip range...

their story makes perfect sense. if tripwire was able to protect us in january and prevent a full banwave why it wouldn't work now, even late? the only way that is possible if they circumvent tripwire or hacked into it somehow

Yes, HB is as safe as it has always been. Ask any HB staff member and they will give you the exact same answer I just gave you.

Just because you had a false sense of security, it doesn't mean you were any more safe 3 years ago as you are now.

You're wrong, you only see the daily rellaório of BAN.
Yes, it will tell me that it is the fault of users, I agree with you, but remember that we had a period were not detected, now times have changed.

TLDR: if youre so upset youve been banned then like all admins and seniors say, dont bot on accounts you dont want to loose. HB is as safe as it has always been, detections happen, deal with it and move on. #salt

The game of cat and mouse is a on going game and will always remain that way. One party gains the upper hand the other party eventually catches up a ban wave happens the detected method gets fixed by HB and botters are safe for a period of time until the power shifts again. From the very start its been said a ton of times "Don't bot on an account you can't afford to lose". For Business people this is just a cost of business for the causal botter if you chose to bot on your MAIN or a precious account then I'm sorry you simply made a poor choice(Most people don't realize the devastating effect that losing their main might have on them until it happens then when it happens they act star stuck like the world has betrayed them even though they were always forewarned).

While most are farming salt or supplying it, I gone back to botting :D
2 out of my lot did not receive 6 months not sure how but got them back to doing what they normally do and got some new raf crews together.
I know the bot ain't safe but screw it I enjoy it got nothing better to do and if you save your gold into guilds banks every hour like I do when these happen you still got you gold at the end of the day.

At the end of the day, just roll with the punches if not move on this is a ***** tool at the end of the day shit happens.
And if your main got done, then learn your lesson like I did once and do not bot on what your not willing to risk, now I use SBR on my main with OSX app hoping blizzard won't implement detection on Mac client but meh that is a risk I'm willing to take but HB 32bit as one developer I think raphus said is the only one being targeted currently sad for them but we knew this already so just get with the times.

If i store my gold into guild bank, how do i get it back?

I'm not going to be using HB any longer. this is the 2nd time i have gotten hit. all i was doing was the jungle dallies. I was watching the bot when it happened. So goodbye HB. Maybe someday they will figure out whats going on.

Seeming how the HB team has already said that they'll reveal no more information on this matter until wow is no more, you may be waiting quite some time.

Its like saying after a banwave

"tripwire had a detection of bliz trying to detect us .. that means tripwire works!, youre safe!"

i just care about one thing..
download link for HB to keep botting lol

HB is as safe as it's always been. If you don't understand the meaning of that statement, you should've never started botting to begin with.

It clearly isn't as back in the good old days as you would know looking at your account age you would know that there were a few years that went by without and waves and they didn't know how to stop us. Them days have changed you cant use the bot on a main anymore because it just isn't safe, I know it has never been safe to use on a main but now you just CANT.

How is that as safe as ever?

I understand when they say it is because it is in a way but in reality it isn't, it just isn't.

Statistically speaking, you are right, its not "as safe as ever". Technically speaking, it is. It is a very misleading way of providing a false sense of security, and they should really stop this practise.

What you people still dont understand, which is amazing since it has been explained to you SO MANY TIMES, is that the "as safe as ever" phrase is not designed to give you a false sense of security now, it's to disillusion you from the false sense of security you once had. the "old days" people speak about only happened because of blizzard's own lack of motivation to enforce their own rules, at any time they could have carried out exactly the same actions as they are now.

No one is disagreeing with you on this, but that does not change the fact.

If HB ran for 3 years with an "unmotivated blizzard" resulting in 0 banwaves in the time-period of 3 years, and the 4th year had 4 banwaves, then statistically speaking HB in the 4th year isnt "as safe as ever". Technically speaking it is as safe as it was in the previous 3 years.

Flying is pretty safe right now, this is mostly due to the fact that few planes crash and few people die each year from plane crashes.

If suddenly the weather around the world became erratic more planes would crash as a result of this, the technicalities of planes wont become less secure because the weather changed, flying in itself would just become less secure as a result of a 3rd party change.

Theres very little difference from what we experience now.

In many of your posts you seem to "fanboy" the word of buddyteam, which is okay, but try and be a little objective. Many people here argue that using the phrase "safe as ever" isnt technically wrong, but it is morally wrong, there are more variables to "safety" then simply implying that the state of software detection havent changed.

and the state of the software is all the buddy team is responsible for, and they are doing the best they can against a very difficult adversary. its up to the individual to decide if the overall conditions have changed enough to make it no longer worth botting, the advise from the buddy staff is the same regardless, don't bot on what you can't afford to lose!

Casual botting isnt viable any more, as it was in Cata/MoP...
Be prepared to loose the acc if u attach HB to it.

regards

HB is safe every 6 months when blizzard makes ban wawes 100% you will be banned there is no other way or no luck to get away about it mean time you can bot 24 hours 7 days a week which what i do. On the other hand i saw new legendary price for HB 200 EURO for a year and seriously as long as they cant avoid every 6 months bans for using HB i reckon its a waste of money but if they would avoid regular bans i would even pay 500 EURO every year i dont care..

This. Passengers don't care if plane crashes because of malfunction or bad weather, the only thing that matters to them is reaching their destination safely.

I used to spend a month building up accounts and making gold on them for next few months with combination of safe botting and manual play. This is no longer viable with Blizzard's periodic banwaves, forcing everyone to use suicide accounts that last for few weeks if lucky. Such approach is messy and it becomes a matter of time until each new account is banned within an hour because of blacklisted hardware or other personal info.

Sadly, the "golden" days of making gold are behind us.
