[PAID] BGFarmer - An Advanced Battleground Bot Base

Ret pala changes target every 1 sec. Not all the time, but in some bgs he does this. Log attached

Edit: At 15:26 he starts to spam blacklist or whatever. At that point he fucks up the targeting.
Something is terribly bad with movement logic in combat, healer is almost unplayable. It keeps taking short steps or circling around and not healing at all unless rooted.

Half mid game it started healing a little better.

To both of you - You need to speak to TuanHA. His routine is spam blacklisting units which is completely breaking BGFarmer.

In addition to fightcancer question, do you need to completely disable your CR movements and let BGFarmer do the movement and possible targeting/facing if you want it to follow a specific character?

Another question I had was that I see in the chat option we have options to replace things could you possible implement something that would let the bot move to some other place?

For example a player call people to blacksmith, so I set it to capture either BS or blacksmith then the bot will move towards it to either take it or defend it?

I understand that players will often say that in consecutively so the bot might get confused so perhaps it would take the first order that came in and go check if nothing move to the second one and also a way to cancel an order if the player says for example "nvm" or nevermind?

Or do we already have something like that and I am missing it?

Something needs to be controlling movement, either the CR or BGFarmer.

The bot can determine where it needs to go on it's own based on it's location on the map (i.e. distance to which base), and what the probability of winning/loosing a base will be. For instance..

We're at stables. Lumbermill has no enemy defenders, so is open for capture, and someone calls for help at Farm. The bot would choose LM as the best option (because it is), so would you really want to go to Farm in that scenario?

For Eye of the storm, could you possible add a on/off option so that the bot will not go fight or pickup the flag at the middle? More of a blackspot so that the bot won't go fight at the middle at all?

There is a lot of disadvantages doing so such as the knock-backs that throw you to death at the flag and the such and if you're running it with limited frame rates and the such the CPU and everything spikes when you're falling down to your death.

So to put it simple an option so that the bot will avoid going anywhere near the flag at the middle, why an option? Because when I am playing with my hunter for example I love going there to throw a explosive trap to knock people off, but when I am using my paladin I don't want him going there.

It won't go to flag specifically, but it will attempt to navigate through the area. You can apply a blackspot using the Navigation tab in the GUI to help make the bot avoid that area.

After checking my log, it keeps blacklisting POIs/Addresses for 0.01 sec as healer. I do not know if this is a HB core issue or a BGFarmer one.

And it keeps going on and on for a while.

Caused by TuanHA's routine. He needs to fix this. Abusing the blacklist like that will break all kinds of stuff.
 
small suggestion for Ashran (not sure if this is available yet or not):
As melee I think it will runs traight into the enemies which is (at least for Ashran) no good idea as there are always two different "camps". One with horde and the other ne with alliance.
If you just run into the opponents camp you will die very very quickly.
However I hope there is a chance to implement some kind of a routine that makes sure that you dont leave your teammates and be farmed by the opponent this easy.

To be honest I dont have any idea on how to do this but the current behaviour would not be suitable for Ashran I think.

Ashran needs a lot of work still. The queue times make it very difficult to test stuff, but one of the Blizzard devs tweeted that this would be getting solved soon (can't find a link to the tweet now).

It's not great for melee at the moment as it gets into the middle of the enemy team instead of sitting at the edge of our team vs enemy, but that line whilst easy to view for a player, is difficult to determine as a bot.

It's very early stages, but thanks to not having a score board in Ashran, nobody can see how frequent you're dying, so you don't need to be too concerned.
 
Anyone knows the safest place to bot so the auto repair feature can be enabled without it appearing in the waters around tanaan jungle?

My two cents :

Temple of Kotmogu : the bot hangs in many wall. Particularly in the middle area.
Isle of Conquest : I think this is the most bug. Attack always docks, always to defend them, and often end up trying to go through the water behind the flag without ever managing to move (very weird behavior).

The other thing are perfect :)

Can you post the log file from this please, and details as to where you were standing when it tried to swim across the ocean?

I've tried to replicate this but unable to do so.

My two cents :

ToK -> Have you got a log file (possibly a video - pm'd since it'll show names) ?

IoC -> It'll only stay at docks when you're the only person defending them. If anyone else comes to defend, then your toon will move off somewhere else.

The only botish feature is facing enemy while stunned. Any plans on fixing that?

I am considering buying this today; I have a few questions first!

1. Will the bot jump around like a human player does?

2. Should I use this with TuanHA as Ret paladin or the default bot settings?

3. Any other suggestions or tips on how to properly set this up!

Hey

You can trial it via the buddy store. Option to trial becomes available once you login to the store website. You need to have owned an HB key for a minimum of 30 days to use trials.

1) Yes it jumps around, there's options on how much you jumping you wish to do.

2) I believe some people have been having issues using TuanHA's routine over the past few days - but that's routine related, so feel free to give it a try but if you have issues, switch to something else.

3) The GUI is pretty intuitive to setup. Just have a look at the settings and set it up how you want it to run.

Damn, I want to buy it. Ive only been using HB for about 1 week. Is there any way you can grant me a 1 day trial to check it out?! If it works better than HB does ill buy it instantly...

I havent used this in a while and I noticed that it will like inch its way into range of people.. looks bad. Maybe its something with my settings.. I disable cr movement, and enabled bot base movement. I wish there was a setting to keep your toon near the most players at all times since mine is always a healer.

also any suggested crs for shaman, priest, druid.. I am using tuanhas atm for this botbase but it causes bad lag.

Is anyone else having an issue with SotA all of a sudden? I was working perfectly fine last night and now the bot will just stay in place on the beach after everyone has left the beach. Got deserter for it.

Also can you by chance have the kiting feature use strafing for kiting? As a hunter you should always strafe while kiting so you can still attack. Plus it looks really bottish if you are running into a wall for 30 seconds trying to "kite".

Finally, in twin peaks, can you have it to where the bot uses the side exit on the start of the bg? Nobody ever runs out the front and that is always the sure fire way I can tell who's botting and who isn't.
 
I'll try to get a log, but this is unusable atm as a Hunter. Kiting doesn't work at all, it tries to stick to targets as opposed to kite. Also, it doesn't switch targets to whoever is attacking me, and try to get away. It'll ignore other enemies that are on me and just continue to focus on my original target.

Kiting does use strafe keys, it doesn't do it constantly to prevent running into walls - but I've found a solution to detecting if there's a wall there, so I'll need to look into implementing that when I get a chance.

Aware of the TP thing. It takes that path as it's the fastest path to where we're going. I'll need to have a think as to how to get around this.
