[PAID] BGFarmer - An Advanced Battleground Bot Base

Yeah I can add that in. May just add toggles in to not defend the middle 4 towers, so that it still defends the ones in the end bases.

Moving up and down the tower is fixed in the next build - it'll just stand in the top of the tower like it should.

The frostwolf thing I'll need to look into. That's a little more complex because of how the targeting/combat stuff works.

Hoping to get this build pushed today or tomorrow.

Had a nightmare with the chat stuff to allow customising incoming calls (i.e. "inc lm" instead of "inc Lumber Mill") - working now though!
 
I have one request, though it's probably more a CR thing so may not be something you could tackle. I've noticed one thing that makes you look either like a bot or just a terrible player. Sometimes when I'm guarding a base in AB for example and there are multiple alliance, it will focus/attack one and allow the others to just sit and cap the banner. I supervise my bot a LOT so if I see it I'll normally just click the guy capping and it'll attack him or do a quick AOE, but is there anyway you could program it to quickly swap to someone channeling the banner cap spell? Or whatever it is (not a programmer, sorry lol).

Secondary thing, happened while I was typing this up, my character was trying to call an incoming to farm and started walking away and ended up saying "Arathi Basin" in chat instead of the name of the node. Not a huge deal, just noticed it and figured I'd let you know. I attached the log, happens at [14:32:34.433 D]. I was at the PC and just said it was a mistell. Someone else right after me said the exact same thing in chat, and I thought they were making fun of me, but I noticed them later on calling incs similarly to how BGFarmer does it, so I thin they were using BGfarmer as well. Interesting that both of us had the same issue (I assume) in the same BG within 1 minute of each other.

And though I don't have a log for it, I had two games where my bot somehow started spamming its incoming messages, ended up saying like:

:Incoming Farm
:Inc Farm
:2 Inc Farm
:Inc farm 2

...over the span of like 3 seconds. I just said in bg it was a macro gone wrong. Not sure if I could point to you why it happened, I ended up just putting in one message (just %base%) and it hasn't happened again, so I may have messed up some sort of formatting or something. But figured I'd note that too.

No sorry. Not allowed due to HB rules.

Capturing -> It does actually have code in to try and switch to people who are capturing flags, but it doesn't seem to be able to detect it. Not sure why. I'll have another look at it though.

Saying 'Arathi Basin' is definitely a bug, I'll need to look into this one. I'd guess you've just gotten extremely unlucky with timing and distance to the sub-zone.

The chatting multiple times thing is a bug I've already fixed in the new version which will be up today or tomorrow hopefully.
 
roger that its fine I use your mage portal(paid) anyway with a priest following for healz and as I always monitor the bot I can click to enter.

how about changing the support link on the bot so it directs here instead of your millzbiz forum page.. which then tells users to go to hb support, which doesn't help finding this forum because its in the hb store forum..................... agggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh
 
mine did look exactly like that. when i turned it down it just made the font and the window smaller and it was still mashed up.. i tried changing the res also and no dice.
 
About targetting:can you stop BGFarmer target at dead priests (when they are spirits). Or is just a major issue with Honorbuddy?

I've noticed this, when a priest dies and goes into spirt healer form, it'll quickly flash between the dead priest and another target or if nobody is around it'll clear and retarget over and over till the priest releases. I'll try watch for it doing it next time and ill upload a log.

In Battle for Gilneas, we are losing but it can't decide which base to go so it runs back forth to mines and waterworks and spams moving to waterworks to scan other bases.

It was changed with the release of the store. It's only the old SVN version which still points to the old forum.

From your log file it looks like your team is just massively out geared, as every base has more enemy HP than friendly. It then can't decide where to go because all bases are just as bad as each other.

Healers will focus on protecting friendly flag carriers rather than attacking enemy ones.

Awesome stuff. Could use a feature to force always attempt to strafe behind targets for rogues.

It has the option in as melee to strafe behind targets. Still needs a little bit of work, but should be keeping behind the target most of the time.
 
With the last build detected a bug that a movement won't stop until combat flag is cleared if target dies/disseapears.
So if you were runing strait forward it will continiue to run and stop only when combat is cleared or another target is selected.

I think you need to make healer movement a little better.

I noticed it will sit there and take a beating from 3 opposing players rather than try to escape.



Also - it didnt seem to favor the FC as much as expected. For example, the FC was sitting in our flag room and i would just randomly throw hots on him and run away outside.

Once you're in combat, it only deals with combat. It doesn't try and run away.

Will need a log file to see why it's ran out of the room.

could special healer coding be done to attempt to run away? I mean, a druid healer should be constantly moving :)

Kiting should really be handled by the combat routines. I might look into it at some point.
