[BGBot] Gettin' some lovin'. Post your issues here so I can get them fixed.

Wow, how do you get your bot to stay online long enough to run a BG and get the rewards for winning? When I use BGBot I can stay on just long enough to crash right at the end of the BG and I miss out on my reward honor for winning. I generally farm EotS because Alliance wins that 7 out of 10 times. I farmed all day yesterday and out of 15 EotS Battles I only got my bonus honor 3 times because it would DC right at the end.

I've tried fresh installs, no plugins, plugins, different CCs, and pretty much everything else Tony (and everyone else) has suggested with no luck. It seems to want to do its own thing regardless of what I try.
 
I'm not sure. I've never had any real problems like that. The only DC's I get is when I hit X instead of stopping the bot, it ALWAYS crashes my WOW. I farmed SOTA for the CTA last weekend for at least 16 hours a day Sat, Sun, and Mon. 99% AFK. I use the plugin to buy my gear for me or I just check every so often and by gear myself. The only suggestions I have are probably the same ones, fresh install, run as admin, make sure WOW is up to date, try different CC's, and post logs if there are problems. Some people say to disable all your addons but I have 40 addons and I don't disable any.
 
Not hugely important but some way of getting the bot to not just stand in the middle of the room until after the battle starts, on stuff like WSG/TP this makes it incredibly obvious that you're not human (since 99% of actual players move towards a gate).

Also it's been mentioned before but standing around doing nothing for ages at the starts of WSG/TP isn't hugely desirable.

Much quicker way to get the grizzly trophies is to get to Icecrown and farm the Death Knight Initiates, quick respawn times and easy kills results in the 250 trophies in less than 5mins.

I took over the project from Apoc and working on it since a week. EotS, BFG, AB logics are done and working lovely. Working on WSG and Twin Peaks right now.

Hey Raphus, I know this is probably not the right place for it, but what about DungeonBuddy? I remember someone saying it was ready and you guys were testing it, but that was weeks ago.
 
PLEASE do not include flag running. It is such a huge risk and when it screws up and you are just standing there motionless or even worse running into a wall you will get reported by everyone!!!! There is just too much risk with running the flag.

I also dont see the point in running the flag. It is perfectly natural to run into and out of an enemies base without the flag.

not sure where this little rant came from. i thought for sure i read something about flag running but it isn't in the list of bugs on the first post. so i really hope you are not wasting any time into flag running. Really looking forward to this update, in the mean time i am still using Piroxbots and i hope HB will be the right fit for me when Pirox shuts down within a week.

Will join as a "group" if you're in a party. This does NOT mean it has any party-friendly logic. It will simply hit the "Join as Group" button instead. (It will still use logic as if it were by itself)

Raphus has done some amazing work over the last 2 weeks on this. Currently, it does WSG, TP, BfG, EotS and AB. Characters are in constant combat and even though its an IoC weekend and random battlegrounds are not supported yet, I am getting about 350 honor per hour. I've just had a battle.net set of 8 accounts hit 85 and kitting them in PVP epics is proving very easy.

My hope and expectation is that the existing BG Bot and PVP Bot will be retired at the end of January and the new BGBuddy will be the answer to all our PVP requests.
 
That sounds really nice Hawker!
Some stuff that are bottlike and easy to notice a bot is:

When you die he ress in 0.001sec - a small delay on the ress would be good.
Faster dismounting - Not Stop the mount, wait 1sec and then start running or cast spell etc. Would be awsome if he casted a spell directly after he dismounted as you do when you play manually.
Random paths. Me and 2 other botters ended up going same path in AB.
Trye to make the bot attack moving targets faster. sometimes he runs after the target and wait then the target moves and he follows. Seems like the target has to be standing still for a few secs before he attacks, This might be the CC. i was botting on my rogue.
Trye not to have the bot running directly to a flag running across 10 hordes and die.

Im new to this but this is a few things i noticed when doing the bgs. I dont know what can be done to this or if this is a CC problem etc.
Im stil on a learning stage and trying to put my time into learning this. Really fun and i appricate all the work you ppl do!

I see you already have two things listed for IOC. I'm gonna be running it most of the weekend on 2 accounts so I'll post any other problems I see.

My toons have avoided the main gate for as long as I can remember and just stood on the teleporter, sometimes using it. Now after they don't go through the gate they run to the tower instead of the tele. I've never seen them do this until this weekend/version. They stand at the top until they get deserter of they just jump off.

Toons still stand at the other teams gate in the corner. With or without the gate being there.

Res'ing at the GY and then just standing there when the bot says it's moving somewhere. I just watched my Druid do this until the BG was over. Stopping and restarting fixes it sometimes.

omg thanks sooo much i cant wait. I believe there is an increased amount of 'randomness' so everyone is not running ontop of each other the entire time. Correct?

End of January? A little later than I was hoping, but I guess that's good for everyone else. I was hoping to be able to get a good PvP bot going to build up Honor/JP before my next eye surgery this month, but it doesn't seem like that will be the case. I'll just have to continue to use BG Bot and relog when I get booted.
