I'v been using the BG bot for like 10 days now on different characters, and i have some suggestions!

-You could make the movement and the "best spot detection" alittle more random(as alot of the posters are saying) I very often run inside 2-3 other botters and everyone is like "report the botters lol" in BG chat.
-Maybe code it so it doesn't run straight into a group of 10 enemies, sometimes it does that and it can be a bit bottish?
-And also, when it dismounts.. It stops for 0.5 secs and dismounts, and then gets on with the pulling/aggroing.. It looks really bottish :P
-In SotA, maybe code it to follow the rest of the "group", sometimes it stands alone at the beach when the rest of the team is defending in the last courtyard..
-In general, more "follow the group" coding could be done, its easy to blend in when you are following others and doing what they are doing.. Not standing alone in one single spot waiting for someone to come :)

Im very pleased with the BG bot, but these are the changed that i feel is crucial to make it perfect :D
And also, what Hawker said about the upcoming release - It sound REALLY promising :D i look forward to it! Good job Raphus and the rest of the coders!

Not sure if anyone's said this again, but in IOC once the enemy gate is down, the bot will try and enter the courtyard but often via a non-broken gate, and just run into it for ages before deciding to run off and do other stuff. (Often then running back to the non-broken gate to try and enter.)

100% agreed. I keep seeing my bot and 2/3 others using this per bg (lol) and itll run into that wall for about 30 seconds or so. I saw three do it earlier aswell. Can post an SS if you want next time it happens.

Also the bot keeps getting stuck for a while on the fires just either side inside the Horde keep, not a huge issue, but it seems to happen every game. (IOC weekend - can you tell xD?)

Edit: When it runs in the towers it also regularly falls off the stairs and runs in stupid circles on the ground floor apparently thinking it's still on the stairs. Possibly make it just avoid the towers completely since it's fairly useless (seeing as it doesn't mount the cannons).

Raphus has done some amazing work over the last 2 weeks on this. Currently, it does WSG, TP, BfG, EotS and AB. Characters are in constant combat and even though its an IoC weekend and random battlegrounds are not supported yet, I am getting about 350 honor per hour. I've just had a battle.net set of 8 accounts hit 85 and kitting them in PVP epics is proving very easy.

My hope and expectation is that the existing BG Bot and PVP Bot will be retired at the end of January and the new BGBuddy will be the answer to all our PVP requests.
He said end of January

Think a test release is scheduled for next week though so we can all jump on that to help find bugs/issues.

in warsong gulch, after you die, and the toon then rises (horde)he instantly turns around and runs to the mountain wall and stands there for about 5 mins.

how to i update my bgbot, so i can get in on these fixs. aslo wanted to add that in ioc the bot runs off the cannon towers. im currently using shamwow cc, ally dwarf

not sure if it has been said already, but my brother came talking about his BG's last night and told me all botters where standing still where as others always move around at the start of the BG. maybe implement that too.

1 thing i noticed today as i was botting IoC. the bot wil wait for the gate to open at the start then about 5s later it run to the west tower( ally) runs up. waits a few seconds- jumps off then continue's to docks for about 1.5mins. they then stroll on to the horde keep and wait at the main entrance door( and thats where u find the botters ) all nicely stacked on top of each other for 2mins b4 they all stroll over to the west door . this has happened countless times. and its extremly noticible. yesterday i saw a train of bots- with in a min they piled 1 by 1 at the door. its a good thing there were so many or it might have looked funny. ( 1 really important thing) if there is a way to impleiment some kind of aura detection for the glaives and a logic so the bot knows to gaurd it till the horde gate dies) that would be sick.

I just hope that this will end up just being the first round of the BG Buddy and that it will receive continuous tweaks and improvements to make it more human-like and effecient. Up until this big upgrade, it seems like BgBot(Beta) had received very little lovin' over the past several months - I understand there are always multiple priorities, but this is one that so many would like to use alot...

i would second this. after using using the questing profiles here to get 2 toons to 60+, I feel like BGs are the better alternative.

Add to that the fact that once you hit level cap, it's a VERY good way to get geared...even if it's just raid starter gear. To me BG Buddy, helpers PvPers and PvEers alike.

news about release?

See above ;)

Some news,

I took over the project from Apoc and working on it since a week. EotS, BFG, AB logics are done and working lovely. Working on WSG and Twin Peaks right now.

Expect to see a test version in about a week.

PS. The bot is named BGBuddy from now on :)

Quoting this for the people that say end of the month ;)

EDIT: Whether this test version will happen or not is an entirely different thing :P

I love to hear about progress like this and even more so the imminent release of something we have all been waiting anxiously for.
