Traded 100k, 10 hours ago - economy ban ^^. Friend who was in guild with me (only while leveling) got same ban too however he did not trade or even pick up any gold from gb.

not unlikely if you got hit with that hwid. if you have sth like 10 bots in a guild and 1 other acc its pretty common to wipe out all accounts. furthermore if you trade with chinese the ban rate is higher, i sell only to private buyers, no problem but i shuffle my accounts or use gb.

I never trade with chinese buyers and I always format my PC etc.

you need to changeat least your volume and mac id after format c and im not sure what else they are saving. tested so much stuff and i had the feeling that sth got me despite everything i was doin on a specific pc. changed to vm/diff ips and i was able to bot again..

Well I do format whole disk not only C. What do you mean by changing volume id ? Where can I do that?

They are hard after those "profit-makers". I like it.... It leave us casual players bot to lvl, 24/7 no issues..... No pvp, no dungeons, no gathering, no ah...

Sorrytoinformyou...Botting...Is....for...Profit....Botters.....You...dweebs....are...1%ers.....Botsare...made...to....bot...for....money

Is it really possible to profit by botting? I mean you buy all these accounts, like 10 minimum, each almost 50e plus monthly subscriptions 15e, plus money for HB keys to run them all... And when you factor in the fact that gold selling accounts are in severe danger of being banned, at least in the last two years, and in the last more than ever, ban waves or not.... is it really possible to tangibly profit by botting? I think not at all, and that you are lucky to call it even when you do the maths.... in order for it to be profitable, it would need to bring you at least 300-500euros a month in real money... It takes time to set it all up, and more time to take over once the bot has gathered enough mats, herbs...

when the gravy train was good id say making money was easy. The tech savvy guys are able to get cheap russian accounts and convert them or so im told i dunno but i know there are ways to get much cheaper accounts.

plenty of money to be made if you have solid avenues to sell your product (gold)

Who the F pays 50 euros for an account? :D

They don't have to use a partner app like the launcher to detect something it can all be done with Warden inside of wow. They probably know the method HB uses to inject (write to memory) and simply monitor an address for when it is written to. Warden can then determine if that was called internally from WoW or if it's another program altering the memory. They can also just download the latest bots and do I/O reversing. They can log how the bot behaves and compare it to a human player. Bots have to make a lot of compromises to not take forever to update come patch day. Taking these shortcuts for how the bot moves, fights, and interacts with things can sometimes create an identifiable behavior that only bots will have thus making an easy and swift ban.

You are delusional if you think Blizzard doesn't have HB by the balls right now. HB would probably have to change their bot to be completely memory passive and use something like steering nav instead of click to move in order to be safe again. I wouldn't mind seeing HB bite the dust honestly because there team is arrogant and they treat customers like shit as if we are the nuisance.
Then why didnt every botter get banned? I didnt get banned when I ran the bot on my main acc. Leveling / herbing. Around 10-30hours a week for 2-3 weeks. Still im not confident to bot yet another alt.

There's money to be made and once you have an awesome profile and know how to setup the bot you never have to touch it. The bot can go farm and mail items to another toon log off and on that toon and that toon post auctions. It's virtually hands off.

No, of course it's not possible, don't even try.

Lot of good theories out there and speculation... with that said..
Never did PVP
Never gold farmed
Only sold on AH occasionally with items that I crafted (Pots and such)
Never bought playtime with gold
ran my own 5 man dungeon on occasion.
Never ran 24x7 farming or leveling
Never leveled on auto.. always controlled my main with team on follow..
Never banned prior
lost 6 accounts with latest banwave for 3rd party software.

sry for offtopic..for what these chinese buyers needs huge amount of gold (>100kk/day)?

I was just casually botting 18h/day on one account and earning about $300 per month. Just one account. Imagine 10. It did require micromanagment though and finding buyers online.

Can't you realize that once they are done with the "gold farmers" they will go for you, routine user or leveler?

Your witchhunt will take you nowhere. Botting for CR creates an uneven playing field; you are seriously affecting your co-players by doing so.

Not to mention that botting for profit can be "ethically" defended. There's no way to defend CR users , unless you want to bring the "I'm disabled" factor, which was never what the bot was meant for. And even in that situation, you are faking your own performance, directly affecting those around you.

That last post...absolutely wrong... They target chinese gold farmers because these dudes have more accounts going then you can dream of. I doubt its worth the cost and effort learning to track the probably less than 5000 players who casually bot.

I would think that the last 3 banwaves should have taught people who doubt such a proven thing wrong.

But it seems not. Well, some people are faster than others in reaching conclusions, even when they are obvious.

You still think that being casual makes you less guilty. Not in the slightest. It just makes you less witty, and less ready to face the ban when it comes.
