It could be one piece to it, but not the only piece. Many people that used CR's only with no bot movement still got busted.

Additionally, other bots that do not have movement built in got busted, too.

If anything, it has to do with the injection method used, but again that's speculation.

If you're looking for a comment from the HB team if that's what caused the bans, you won't get it. They've never shared any information pertaining to the actual ways HB has detected them in the past.

I only did lazyraider for 2 years with no problems with click-to-move off. no other functions of honorbuddy used.
still got banhammer'd i wasnt even online for like 2 weeks before the ban
 
I'm pretty sure that using HB now is suicide. I would wait a few weeks until the team discovers a blizzard way to not detect the bot. Maybe it's really impossible going forward, maybe blizzard has implemented a completely efficient way to detect any bot from now on.

you serious? the bot is not detected.
i have been chilling around doing WQ for the past 3 days almost 24/7 still no ban.

They already said they found the code that was being detected, most likely some offset trap that got all bots caught.
this has been fixed and its good to go now, just go bot wtf dont be scared

Right. Just like the last 3 times after ban waves, they found the reason all those times too. Obviously they will say what they want people to hear, so that people continue using the bot, which in turn generates $ from buddy store stuff etc...

when exactly did they say that? after this banwave they have only said ONCE that they found the detection method blizz used, and after that I have been fine botting without any problems.

if you really think that the hb devs are trying to scam u for ur money u are completely out of ur mind. u cannot get more narrowminded, these ppl have been around in the scene like forever, im most certain most of theyr devs even do this more for passion than for the money.
they have probably the best bot team in the world, and they are not "selling you out" to blizzard. go hide inside ur foilhouse again.

Lets see. After the May 2016 one, one admin said "we do have evidence that Blizzard found a way to identify IP ranges of Tripwire service thus able to bypass the anti spyware system". After the May 2015 ban, bossland said they believed they had found blizzards method of detecting HB and should have it fixed. November 10, an admin said they had a theory as to how it was detected and an idea how to prevent it from being done again. Go through the archives and see for yourself. I'm not saying they are scamming people from their money. Botters should know the risk of botting, and understand that if they buy stuff, they risk not being able to use it if they get banned. Do you really think that if the devs came out and publicly said "we don't know how hb is being detected", that people would still keep botting? Some might, but not as many compared to if the devs said "The detection methods that have been catching almost all bots including Honorbuddy in last 3-4 weeks has been found". Of course you have been botting fine since then, it's only been 6 days. Once it's been 6 months or longer, let me know. I still support and want hb to be undetectable, but frankly it's a cat and mouse game, and honorbuddy will always be the mouse that gets caught.

no, not really.

I have botted since vanilla, using glider, openbot, pirox, all kinds of shit.
Since using HB, this is the first time ever ive gotten a suspension on ONE of my accounts.

They have had previous banwaves, ofcourse, but tbh the game would be broken without them.
If blizz did not clear out the excession of bots every now and then, the game would not even be interesting.

You just need to simply understand, that if you bot, eventually you will get caught, either permabanned or suspended is all about luck and cause I guess.
These facts have been stated by HB all the time, so how can you even say shit like "they lie to you so u buy more from buddystore blablabla".

If this is such a big issue for you, maybe don't bot? No one is forcing you to.

Firstly they literally have said that before when they didn't know

Secondly if they said "has been found" and people continued to get banned you'd know it was not true so there is no way they could not be telling the truth, before they shut down the auth people were getting banned almost instantly because warden was running constantly

If you actually use your few brain cells and apply a bit of basic logic you can easily realise everything HB says is truthful

I bottet for herbs 24/7 from the same IP and PC - I expect to be banned at some point.

Of course I believe you. I dont believe those stating they were banned for lvling only. It doesnt mean i am right either. Just my personal biased subjective opinion.

sorry, but I got 3 account banned for lvling :( on the 22 nov. same account that got banned few days before.
 
I think blizzard has several methods of detection implemented across the games. They are mostly based on detecting memory injections. I think the one they caught most people with is: the battle.net app itself (the launcher). this app is setting in the background to launch and show news, but also frequently checks on the running games to see if there is any injection happening. That doesn't mean that wow itself for example isn't trying to detect, but also that launcher app. Testing this has to happen under certain conditions, to eliminate and narrow down their detection methods.
