Ban Theories and Ban Waves

does a *** block them from seeing your mac address? lol.. like will it stop a chain ban when one account gets caught?

I just remembered today that every Windows installation have unique SID, used generally by Microsoft to identify every computer, connected to a domain etc.

Can Blizzard access the SID of our computers, and store them for their anti-cheat statistics? If yes, do they have legal ground for it?

Wrong. If you set it up right, it works a charm.

The only thing that's confirmed is your inability to make it work. It works like a charm.

It's completely impudent of you two to just assume that we cant set up the program correctly. There are alot of ppl out there for which ARelog is indeed not working, including me!
For me it just won't login to d3 because it waits for d3 to become idle (thats what it says before the login procedure) which either never happens or ARelog is not able to detect it properly. Same thing if i start db (and d3) with command line settings - db reports 20s timeout for d3 window despite the window is there and ready after <5s .

So please come down to earth with your ego, your nothing special because it happens to work for you.

Seems like all bans are still multiboxers only.

I myself shift bot one bot at a time.

I really don't think folks like myself are at risk just yet.

They arent just multiboxers

somone in ban forum got banned and he just uses 1 account

One way Blizzard could easily ban

ISBoxer is not disallowed but its completley detectable by blizzard.

- Check if account is using isboxer (easy)
- Grab ISBoxer identifier (probably easy since it makes no attempt to hide)
- Check if accounts using the SAME ISBoxer are in seperate games

Since its unlikley that someone using the same ISBoxer legitimatly would have more than 4 accounts since thats the most a human can control in D3 at once, and the accounts are likley to be in the same game (or at least not all operating independantly!). It would take manual intervention by someone at Blizz to investigate the account once flagged but completley do-able.

Way, way to many BAN reports. I suggest stopping Zark profiles.

Could they have added some type of profile detection method in the most recent patch?

One person hardly means anything. Additionally the person you're referring to admitted to using leveling exploit.

Ok

What about the other guy that replied previously?

4/4 accounts on 4 computers

1 account on each computer

doesnt seem to me his multiboxing

What strikes me as odd is, that they are really using the wave again, even when doing it manually like now. Something is ticking them off, I am sure and those flags get all looked up, I wonder what it is that ticks 'em.

Obviously they aren't catching a lot of bots and aren't even searching for useful values ( e.g. gold picked up ). Well the EU banwave is long over so, I will lay back and watch how US botters are getting annihilated.

Tripwire detects when there is something wrong with DB that would be causing bans, tripwire would pull the authentications servers for DB so no one would be able to use it until they got it figured out.

I'm literally dumbfounded reading through post after post about ban theories and have yet to see one person mention a massive factor. Out of all the people banned.... Who is on your friends list? No one? Oh.... Ok.. you're just asking for it. It looks an f-ton less bottish to at least have a friend or two and send them a message every once in a while.

The reason being supplied for accounts closed is universal.
Identified using Third Party Software - Hacks - Bots.
We may know otherwise with DB tripwire in place, at this juncture it is irrelevant, accounts are being closed.

Account Action: Account Closure
Offense: Unapproved Third Party Software
A third party program is any file or program that is used in addition to the game to gain an unfair advantage. These programs may increase movement speed or teleport heroes from one place to another beyond what is allowed by game design. It also includes any programs that obtain information from the game that is not normally available to the regular player or that transmit or modify any of the game files.

Cheat Programs ("Hacks")
We take action against accounts using hacks when a hero on the account is identified using a hack program. Hacks provide benefits normally not achievable in the game. Such benefits may include: increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls.

Automation Programs ("Bots")
We take action against accounts using automation programs or bots when one or more heroes on the account are identified using a bot to achieve automation.

haha what i say after eu get banned now bli$$ strikes us botter lol

im thinking of that maybe blizzard hired programmers(not saying there is one now) .what if this programmers knows how to make profile and plugins and make us use it to get caught by doing a specific behavior that triggers something. oh well everything is a risk just thinking. lol
