Am I the only one who just got banned right now?

For those who got banned, were you kicked offline because of Tripwire a few days ago? Maybe Blizzard is cleaning up..

Offense: Exploitation of game mechanics

Well, now I can focus more time on my gf and those new Steam games collecting dust in my library. If it is of any help, I had 6 100's all in the same guild with 350k gold on gbank. Ive been using garrison bots with the HBRelog, with 20 min between logs and 30 min timeout. I usually check all the alts in the morning, move mats around, clean bags and start the bot the whole morning. Then I used Demonic on my main to clear some dailies/LFR, and maybe some "manual" leveling with Enyo. If I had to point fingers to a specific action that put me on the radar, I would say it was a fur farming profile I found online that I used yesterday. I was able to log this morning, did my morning routine, used the bot and logged off after 2 hours. Had this acc since 2009 and Ive been botting since Cata. I guess Ill see you guys in September 23rd, 2015.
 
I was booted when tripwire happened, and I'm not banned. I was questing.

Negative, I wasn't running HB during the tripwire, I was playing normally in a dungeon. However, my client was still open that I previously was using HB in, though HB was completely exited. Maybe this was also an issue since HB didn't close my client for me like it would have if I left it running.
 
Seems like they struck US servers, maybe they will come for EU soon, better watch out, shit like this scares me, even tho im only using HB for pets/mounts and not to get gold..
 
I got scared reading this thread. However, both of my accounts that I bot on (combat routines) are still working. I'm only using PVP Routines atm.

Would you not say that's risky? Getting kicked off with thousands of other people raiding conveniently when blizzard pushes an update? How do you know the raid didn't report you?

Honestly I would say that Tripwire, with all good intentions aside, is just as much responsible here as anything else. For argument sake, I have been botting for a couple weeks on and off before the event. Played legitimately during the event but because HB is turned on (not running) Tripwire kicks and shuts everything off. I'm now grouped with everyone else for disconnecting during the event but haven't actually done anything at the time of update.

It might be paranoia kicking in, but I didn't bot again and if tripwire didn't kick me, I could have been more safe. Instead I'm sitting on a 6 month.
 
I was not online at the time of the event, but unknowingly logged on later that day and tripwire immediately kicked me offline when I logged into Honorbuddy. I have had no messages from Blizzard, and all of my accounts are still safe. I, for one, am happy that tripwire worked for me.

Oh I'm not 100% blaming it one bit. I'm only saying that it's 50/50. Besides, you logged in later, and would not have been grouped with the majority during the main event.
 
just came back with a new bnet account two weeks ago
was using hb 2 to 3 hrs a day farming mats
was using my own profile with singular
got kicked off during the tripwire event

6 month ban
 
People are putting all kinds of things on Youtube right now. They can make money if they can get people to follow their channel, so they try to find interesting things to video, such as new content in WoD dungeons and raids. If you run a bot in a WoD dungeon or raid, then I would think you were more likely caught on video acting and looking like a bot. The bot is a tool, people can either be safe or sorry in their use of that tool.
 
Just want to add my 2 cents here. I have recently been banned with around 50-60 accounts in the last 2 months. Seems every time Id level new accounts they would be banned before they even hit 90. They were hardcore on my face.

I have since added a new account to my old banned main bnet account and have been playing/botting on the new account for around 3 weeks. I was NOT online during the tripwire and my account is safe. I am US like the others. I have been botting pretty hard since the tripwire.

Maybe there is some truth to people getting hit that were botting during the tripwire?
 
But what diff all cr's use lua this ppl lvl new acc's 100% use default singular.
 
None of my chars was online at the time. i check the maintenance forums daily for any realm restarts and i make sure they are not on when one of those happens. There has been many of those realm restarts during the nights lately. I guess botting has made be paranoid as fck :P
