I was reading a thread up on the Diablo forums and came across the following:
So, the moment you go into Inferno with any kind of Monster Power (e.g. Monster Power 1 and above), all monsters become level 63, and they can now all drop iLevel 63 items the same way that Act III and Act IV Inferno currently do. However, bumping up Monster Power beyond 1 will not further increase your chance of getting iLevel 63 items.
So this seems to me that post 1.0.5 it might pay to just run Act 1 with MP at 1 or 2. They have the same chance of dropping iLvl 63 loot but there is super high density Elites in Act1 and even though the mobs would be level 63, they are still probably easier to kill than Act 2 or 3. Act 2 and 3 has too many of those annoying mobs that run and jump and burrow which slows things down.
Btw, I tried out Act 3 with MP 0 and it was significantly easier than 1.0.4. Going to try out MP1+ if I can get into the damn PTR servers.
Thoughts?
