that is what people dont know/knew ;). thx for the direct answer to this.

whenever warden starts scanning for processes outside the D3 process it might cause legal problems for them. they wont. they will be fucked up horribly when trying to do this :>.
 
Just wondering, but what are the reasoning behind this?

I realize you don't have to explain your reasons, but I'm just curious, so I totally understand if your motives remain private :p

thats pretty pointless considering blizzard will just buy a key and have access to whatever they see now anyway.

I was referring to Tony post's regarding not making the forums private for paying customers.

And even if they did scan, they can't issue a ban just because you are running a process that happens to have a name of a botting software. As far as they know I'm running a porn downloader with that process name.

And you would make less money if it was private. Not nearly as many people would sign up for it if they couldent check it out first. Probably the most important factor ;)
 
does it look good and we can go back to work on saturday? or not so good?
 
Well, I thought that this would at least take 1-2 weeks to be done properly so I was rather surprised when they announced that they would release an updated version within 3 days. I can wait if that will give me something secure.
 
If it only takes them 3 days to make it as safe as it can be and come up with ways to make it more human, then why wasnt it done before?

Well please explain why i didnt get banned?
Others with all the same setup did get banned. Only difference was that, i modified my demonbuddy.exe. hexedited it, everytime and then saved it with different name. If warden did some scan 3 months ago, they never finded my demonbuddy. Thats why im not banned.

I don't believe it was due to detection, as mentioned before by buddy staff, if that was the case alot more people woul'd have been hit.
This is just a banwave to scare people away, they look at the data of stuff like picking up items and make a list.

Meaning they dont ban 100% of the bot's, just a fair amount 'to send a message' and that worked, look at all these topics over here....
 
No one can say for sure why you didn't get banned. I am just saying it's stupid to say without doubt there is no detection, when you cant prove it one way or the other. I am just saying thousands of people with different botting setups/hours/routines/profiles etc got banned. What makes more since for Blizzard to you. They can A - Ban 100% of the botters leaving no doubt that there is detection, in turn stopping the hundreds and thousands of people from re-buying more accounts to try and bot thinking they can slide through next time. B - Or they can ban a shit ton of people but not everyone, leaving the thought hey maybe i can bot and get away with it and will buy more accounts. I am just saying them banning 100% of people = A LOT LESS money for them. Them banning some but not all = people thinking there is no detection meaning more copies of D3 to be sold.
 
I don't know why everyone keeps saying make it as safe as possible. No matter what they do blizzard will find a new way to detect bots again and there'll be bigger more hard hitting ban waves. I think they're really gonna ***** down on it as they realize it is actually ruining the game for their fanboy players (I know the game is crap anyway but all the QQ fans on their forums seem to love it).
 
i have 2 friends that havent botted in the last 2 weeks, they are both safe on all accounts...probably something similar situation for you botleone?
