It makes sense and cents for Blizzard as a business to create less profitable game sinks for the gamers, i.e a stick is disguised as a carrot.

So what you can do is to cash out your higher MP gear and downgrade to lower MP and use the cash to buy more bots.

jipro, using insanity? or frenzy? for your 300k dps or whatever it was i saw
i reckon i could get close to 600k gonna try in a bit, with a stupid spec just to see my top temporary dps. see what you can get.

Best i've seen my dps is about 900k...could be a little higher if I really wanted to stack it just for screenshot purposes...but that was with frenzy(atk speed buff) and using frenzy(20% extra dmg) with WOTB(+100% dmg) + OP(+10% crit)

If i could get revenge with crit proc and a better second ring with good atk speed, crit, crt dmg, strngth could prob break a mil

edit: this is while using spec I use when i've key farmed mp10

If you are dying more on MP1-10 then weird things will happen.

And I mean if you die AT ALL - it will make MP not worth using.

For MP to be effective you need to at least not die, ever, and 1-3 shot everything.

this entire game from day 1 was a stick that looked like a carrot. and we are their donkeys

You should have tried mp0 you'll be surprised at how much better it is. I have 5 bots running mp0.

Right, if you can't 1-3 shot everything and not die then you need to stick to MP0.

Using MP1-10 is only effective as long as your not dying and killing as fast as MP0.

Basically you need better gear.

I'm botting, what would I need mp1 or higher for. Mp0 is still the fastest.

If you have better gear that kills just as fast then MP1-10 is the way to go. Otherwise stick to MP0.

Elmo thats not true.. dunno if u readed other post but something weird happens at high MP.. i generate 900 items per hour at mp5 vs 600 in mp0 (with 500m geared WW barb) but in the end it always picks less items per hour on mp5 (like 93 items vs 60 or like) its something weird.. u generate more items per hour but more shit at high MP..

I agree that somthing weird, that does not have a full explaination yet, is going on behind the scenes relating to droprate/mf/moster power. The main question i have, which nobody here can answer definitely, is wheather or not mp effects the actual stats roll, regardless of ilevel.

Blizzard has stated magic find does effect the quality of stats rolled on items. I want to know what effect monsterpower has on this because even if im getting less items per hour, they might have better rolls that would make it worth-wild.

I wish we had a program that could datamine a bunch of log files.

You get 36% more bonus items - so your numbers makes complete sense.

The bonus item only applies to normal monsters.. So you won't get extra drops from champions/rares/bosses.

When a monster dies, the first thing we do is decide whether it's going to drop loot at all.

Most monsters -- like say your everyday shambling zombies -- have a roughly 30% chance to drop loot. The exact percentage, however, varies from monster to monster (for example, the Tormented Stingers in Act III have a much lower chance because they spawn in large packs and are easy to kill).

When you kill a monster in Inferno on MP1 or higher, if you pass the initial roll to obtain loot, you will also get a second roll to get an additional piece of loot. The "bonus item" chance for each MP level is detailed here. A few monsters are exempt from the bonus loot, but we tried to put it on the vast majority of normal monsters, and will probably add it to more if we like how the system plays out.

Also, just to be clear, the bonus drop applies to Normal monsters only. We wanted Monster Power to provide players with extra loot rolls, and (since Champions and Rares are already guaranteed to drop multiple items) Normal monsters seemed like the best place for us to add that mechanic in.

wheather or not mp effects the actual stats roll, regardless of ilevel.

MF affects the chance that the item will be of better quality (magic, rare, legendary) and also the quantity of stats it rolls (3 stats on the item, 5 stats etc.). Apart from that it's random and not affected by MF.

In Act 3, exactly the same items drop, be it MP0 or MP10.

MP levels just add MF, which works as above (and bonus item chances).

You don't get the point, he's saying at MP5 the bot is picking up less rares an hour even if the IPH is higher. Bonus item is crap.

I get a higher proportion of ilvl63 legendaries (set items etc...) with +450%MF, and a higher drop rate. I do this in MP3.

- Legendary: 42 [1.19 per hour] {0.19 %}
--- ilvl 60 Legendary: 13 [0.37 per hour] {0.06 %}
--- ilvl 61 Legendary: 5 [0.14 per hour] {0.02 %}
--- ilvl 62 Legendary: 9 [0.26 per hour] {0.04 %}
--- ilvl 63 Legendary: 15 [0.43 per hour] {0.07 %}

Yeah its like at higher MPs with good gear u generate higher items per hour but a lot more shit.. so you end getting less items picked per hour (and thats with +300 items per hour than mp0 in my case..)

No, this is not true. 5 stacks of NV will guarantee rares. MF will not. This just shows that the impact of 5 NV stacks outweighs MF in terms of impact on converting items from white/blue to rare or legendary.

That logic is either flawed or incomplete. Guranteed 1 rare + 20% chance of an additional 1-2 rares (made up numbers) is not better than 3 rolls of 90% each. Also, you would have to determine what % of rares come from elites (and equivalent), as this is the only time the guranteed drop occurs. I know I get 3-4 from most elites with 450MF.
