3% LS is the way to go once u hit certain dps. but for 99% of botters, superstition is the best

Do you really need an IK set (or whatever equivalent for your class) to bot anyway? With the right build, you could do the same thing with 0 deaths per hour or close to it for like 25m or less.

I could (and have several times) build a 45k DPS to start with barb for 30m or less with 850+ AR and get it through act3 with 10 or less death an hour. Use what you find after that point to build it up more.

0 dph and 10 dph is not a big difference? :O

i geared up all 3 of my bots for less than 30m each. takes 50-65 mins a run, 0-2 deaths per an hour. it's easily achievable if you know what you are looking for. just take your time in the ah, you don't have to buy it all at once.

And who would pick 3% lifesteal over Weapon Master, Tough as Nails, and Ruthless for A3? Someone who can't do math? Also, 800 AR before war cry on a 25 mil budget with a 2h? Is that some kind of joke? Or if you mean 800 AR after war cry, is that another kind of joke? You'll get bitchwipped in A3 with 38k hp and 800 AR after war cry, 0 dph is fucking unrealistic. I see 2-3 dph at 50k-60k HP with 1100 AR after war cry.I find it funny that the people who make the most outrageous claims on this forum NEVER back it up.

these stats are only buffed by warcry


the only time i really die is when we get some stupid ranged mobs that have poison/molten/ other things that the bot trys to avoid and continuously gets hit with range atks. even hard affixes i don't really die.

I build 6 bots, 4 barb and 2 DH. The 4 barb all were under 30m and one was like 20m. All of them could run act3. Some had more DPH some had less so your mileage may vary. Now they are all geared out the ass and it was all free! Why would you need to spend 100m?

i've spent less than 5m on my gear and im doing 31k dps and have 1.2k AR with impunity only 4 dph. idk what ppl r blowing their cash on im a bang for your buck shopper.

there are deals like these all the time, like i said, it's not about purchasing everything all at once. i'm in the process of gearing up 3 more characters equal or better than this guy for around the same price, so if i get ban hammered i'll be able to get up and running right away.


these 2 pieces are the most important to my setup so i spent a little more on them, my weapon was 1m, pants 3m, chest 5m, bracers 500k, rings/ammy 1m, shoulders 1m, belt 1m

you can probably get a way better helm for cheaper but i like the 8% block

Justice Lantern would give 0.11*(3706+4706)/2 = 462.66 pts of mitigation, not sure whether that helps but you would have to give up things like
- 100+ Str
- 100+ Vit
- 50+ All Resists
- +4% Crit Chance
- +20% Crit Dmg
- +50 Avg Dmg

Alternatively, you could unload your stash of gold on the same/next weekend that Patch 1.05 comes out. Then again, I'm risk adverse, so I don't dare to hoard gold lest Blizzard ban-hammers me to the slums.

Want me to make movie when my barb do full cigarc profile act3 with that? Payme 10 bucks and I will so maybe u will learn one or two. and yes 800ar with warcry. key is big slow dmg with tons of LF on that (and rend ofc). u proably wont get it any day, becuase u still just go with "one right build". And no im not joking. So maybe stop bitching around, because i use it from like 3 weeks it was dying sometimes with giles 1.4.x , now with 1.5.3 it works like a charm. No, u do not have to go all def, few dps, a lot of ias+loh. Try big slower dmg (but big on skills) with LF and u will see what i mean.

I just posted some hints to test (especially with new giles) what I DID for few weeks, yet u came with ur one-minded strategy to falme this out. gj man. U forgot it is 1.0.4 era so 2h LF rand builds are pretty decent. If u dare to try. Do what u like, its ur game.

Normal Vit HOC are 400k, stormshields with ~27% block w/ vit or %life are ~4m, etc.

ye i am also planning to sell when gold demand rises. my gear is pretty bad right now. i have about 10 death per hour maybe more

I use to have Justice lantern but not anymore; i only die due to Arcane sentries/Dececrators and they don't get blocked by the shield.

1k+ dps 1 hander with high str and LOH is like 30 mil minimum.

Boots with 12 ms, 50+ all res, 100+ str/vit are like 30 mil as well. If you want to save, you can get 12 ms boots with shitty stats, but then you have to get more of those stats on other pieces. That's what I did at first, but then upgraded to proper boots with the gold collected.

I dont get how this thread is still going, why everyone is bickering over moot points.

Summary:

Yes, you can gear your character for act 3 even with 10mil, whether or not you get lucky or snipe the gah. However, your runs are generally > 1hr for Act3.

People who spend over 100mil should run act3 < 45m, unless of course you dont know how to gear your bot. Yes, your spending more $$ on it but the point is, your doing quicker runs, more items dropped > chances of finding the sets/legendaries. That's the risk people are willing to take (like myself). The way I see it, most people who spend their initial 10mil+ will most likely upgrade in the near future, whether they end up using gear they find (which takes a long time) or rebuy from the GAH/RMAH, your still putting in more $$ in your bot so why not just spend that $$ intially and be done with it (disregard that last comment if you didnt have the funds to begin with). That is just my opinion.

Everyone has their own way of playstyle and their own logic that works for them. There is no point arguing especially if we take RNG into account. Whats most important is your returns, profit is profit no matter how much you choose to spend initially.
