HB may still be active, but it's running on borrowed time.

We have other things in the works to limit the offense we give to the general WoW community, but not all could be put in place at once.

One of the most important assets of HB has been ripped out of the game, and they did so without even blinking. The kiss-asses in the original thread clapping their tiny hands saying it's for the greater good of the bot, just don't realize that this, more than likely, is only the beginning of a spiral downwards. Those same kiss-asses are prolly the raiders, who remain unaffected by these changes. But imagine if it were the other way around and HB had been deactivated in dungeons/raids... definitely would have been another tone in those comments. :D

As the quote above states, Bossland gmbh aren't done trimming the bot. Your time might still come. By the end they might end up with a bot, that only functions in open world environment.

I'm afraid Blizzard really did a number on us there, and dealt HB an irrecuperable blow.

Just my two cents, this thread is prolly gonna be deleted anyways, as critique is rarely accepted in this censored community.

Thx for the fun we had HB, but then again. I paid for it. ;)

you guys need to understand blizzard can just keep ban waving over and over, what bossland is trying to do is compromise. so people can bot but it won't break the game so blizzard are less likely to retaliate like they just did.

I've been playing an Affliction Warlock lately, and a BM Hunter.

The former is boring because leveling 1-100 even with heirlooms is taking an excruciating amount of time.
The latter is not so much boring, but it feels slow because I don't have Hunter-specific heirlooms. He is currently at Level 91.

Even if one of them was at L100 soon or right now, the current endgame would still be a daunting task; get a level 3 garrison, grind for weeks on weeks for the various items towards the legendary ring, get at least 25 followers to L100 and then to Epic, get as many garrison buildings to level 3 and filled with the right follower, gear up for heroic dungeons then LFR then (if I could even get into them and succeed) Normal+ raids.

I could speed it up slightly by playing a tank. But even if he had heirlooms, it'd still be daunting anyway (tanking w/o a CR = **** no!), let alone the high potential for stress that the tanking role brings with it.

So I could try to buy another account, or just wait until November when my original accounts will be available once again.

They sold us out bro. nothing else.

nothing about a big blow. or whatever.

bossland had a foot in the door when it came to blizzard. now all of a sudden on a massive banwave they remove that foot.

entirely.

I dont see how this is good for business. its deffo very bad.

Arenas wasnt a problem. you need to have a brain, knowledge of the game and classes to get past 1800 anyway.
not to mention u need to tweak crs to the max.

they should have removed dungeon buddy and bg buddy. thats their problem, nothing else.

and ye, dungeon buddy removed.. no. Would be other way around all those monkey raiders would be crying like no tomorrow indeed.

only one explanation, we have been sold out on the banwave and this is the agreement.

within the time xpctd its released angain and then with this "not so light decision".

i dont buy it.

U win a courtcase, and then u do something like this. cripple more then 60 % of your bots capability. it makes no sense.

if you removed all 100 % afk ( pve - pvp ) i would 100 % agree, now its just a stupid decision.

nah bro, they compromised on the banwave, and this is step 2 of the agreement!

Honorbuddy shouldn't be used for anything rated, it makes it a million times easier to get caught.

Lol this thread is full of tinfoil hats.

As a person who doesn't play arena i still agree. What are they thinking, stop arena support and blizzard will remain eyes closed.Really guys?

Then they will go after you again because this bot is also heavy used in raids and affect huge percent of the class balance that blizzard does and the world progress.

i don't know why do you think they will leave you alone if you disable arena...People on battle.net forums cry because of pvp,but the problem really remains the stupid wow token.

Because atm blizz is the biggest goldseller ingame,no bots - more money for them. But regardless, lets wait and see how it works. There may be some secret agreement between hb and blizz. And in the end,if there was not hb,i won't be playing this game anymore.Hb is what is

keeping me subbed for the last 4 years.Leveling same chars by hand over and over, grinding that rep on 30+ chars over and over?No thanks.

Its amazing how many deluded people we have.
The bot was banned, and most people who used it (For whatever reason, pve, pvp, grinding, lvling professions, garrisons) were banned.

It's easy to scapegoat arenas/pvp (like the devs and most have done), and say that was primary THE REASON for bans.
But lets not kid ourselves here, if that were the case, then people who only used the bot for garrisons, etc... would not be banned.

No one knows for sure what the future holds, it is all speculation, but to state that our bans were "solely/mainly" from PVP i find quite hillarious.

Automation in MMOs has been about doing the repetitive farms for currency and experience, not for dynamic gameplay such as pvp. Arena automation is honestly not what botting has ever been about.

Then why make spesific complex Combat Routines for arena and sell them through buddystore. If that was they're policy, why ever allow that in the first place.

It's just the standard backpeddling comment the community (the non-pvp'ing half of it) is going with.

I'm honestly quite tired of everyone jumping to the conclusion that we just "ripped out arena support". First, and foremost, we never had arena support. This was on purpose, and by design. In fact, I was the one who originally made the argument not to include any form of arena bot in HB itself. (This was close to 5 years ago now)

We simply haven't taken any steps to ensure HB doesn't work in arenas until now. And taking those steps was a multi-day discussion with all the developers. Not a single one of us could find a solid reason to keep allowing HB to work in arenas. The very small amount of our users that we annoy, don't even come close to outweighing the current benefit of disallowing arenas. If things change, arenas may be allowed again in the future, but for now, this is how it is.

We don't making sweeping decisions like this in 20 minutes "just because we feel like it". We argue about things constantly, especially big changes that affect a large number of customers, and developers.

All PVP-based CRs still work exactly as they did before. The only difference, is that you can't use them in arenas now.

I believe that what bothers us all is that arenas are just the first step.Nothing stops you from crippling raids later on.Even if you remain just as herb farming bot in the end,you (we the users of hb) still going to violate blizzard's precious TOS.

They won't stop bans and won't stop chasing you (us). But nevermind it is your decision.I don't want to become another troll hanging around.Or not that my opinion matters anyway.

Keep up the good work.

Its all about friction with the community isn't it. Arena profiles are very high friction with the wow playerbase since they were directly into contact with that, and it annoyed them. So blizz took action. Raid rotations are very low friction, no one is annoyed by a botting healer in their team since it just means they'll get better healing. While I do believe it is not up to HB to decide what risks we take while botting, since people that didn't bot arena were also banned I fully support this decision.

Man, this is such bullshit. I bought the CR's over the store and then i expect to be able to use them... WHY allow Things to be sold over YOUR store if you won't support it? I Spent over 160 euros on Routines to be able to play, i lost my left hand four years ago, and have been botting since. I won't be able to pvp anymore, you guys just broke my game. I always expected bans from blizzard for my usage, but i never ever thought HB would Close it Down, so now i am Down 3 accounts, 160 euros Worth of profiles... and a chance to never pvp again. thanks guys, appriciate it.

and PS Routines used for arenas are useless elsewere... so when u say they work i laugh off u in an ugly way, because Tuanha's free perform better Pve then the arena profiles...
