HB may still be active, but it's running on borrowed time.

People need to understand that Arena botting/interrupting is a big part of what was drawing so much flak and attention. It's simple self-preservation.

As the quote above states, Bossland gmbh aren't done trimming the bot. Your time might still come. By the end they might end up with a bot, that only functions in open world environment.

I'm afraid Blizzard really did a number on us there, and dealt HB an irrecuperable blow.

Just my two cents, this thread is prolly gonna be deleted anyways, as critique is rarely accepted in this censored community.

Ok mister retard, I approved the changes and I'm 4 season glad using HB... Stop beeing the classic pessimist.

And bots dropping prices to the ground isnt.
please dont tell me those are not anoying for other players.
They hope they will get under the radar but after all that happened in court
blizzard isnt gonna pass this now untill Honorbuddy is fully broken.

And mark these words it alreaddy has begon.

And ppl need to understand that that's not actually the case. It was an easy way out for Bossland to blame it on the arena botters, and the PvE'ers were quick to jump on that bandwagon.

When you are in a gunfight with me. I am going to turn sideways and crouch a little to make myself a smaller target. Then I am going to drive on toward my objective. I fail to see how this is any different than adapting and overcoming?

You can't just reverse the logic because dungeons are with a group of people who inherently want you to succeed. They aren't running FRAPS or screen recording with the intention of singling you out. Can it be done that way? of course... but the things you are killing are NPC. Using HB in Arena is the technological equivalent of bullying.

The days of HB were numbered from day 1. People have said don't bot it if you can't afford to lose it since DAY 1. Using a foundational point of HB to make your point does not help your argument.

p.s. - no hard feelings i had plenty of cash tied up in pvp type stuff as well, but I am man enough to admit something when it makes sense.

I couldn't care less about the money I spent on arena CR's, that is not the issue I'm puttin up for debate here. What I'm trying to point out is, that I can name several issues that causes more awareness to the bot, than arena botting. Yet it is being portrayed as if banning arena botting, is the grand solution to the recent banwave. If you're naive enough to believe that this will be the end of it, then I got bad news for ya. That's like standing in Lady Gaga's meatdress in front of a 200lbs pitbull and throwing him a dogbisquit, then expect him to be satisfied with that.
Now what I'm asking is, they've thrown us PvP botters and PvP CR devs under the bus (yeah yeah, they weren't supporting arena yada yada) - a fairly large chunk of the community, completely blindsided. What will the next step be when It goes to show that banning arena botting is nothing but a false sense of security?
 
While im not using the bot until HB knows something or acknowledges it needs to a new safety net.
I agree PVP is a messy area. People will hunt you down in real life and try to hurt you when it comes to player vs player. This is an area where Botting will get the most attention. When your out botting even stealing an herb or mine from someone will piss them off enough to follow you around people are touchy about MY STUFF!! But players are super touchy when they think they are the coolest fuckin person on the planet and you just beat them in pvp.

Let's face it: the "general WoW community" are not the ones sending out ban emails, investigating players reports, going to court for Blizzard vs Bossland lawsuit, going to work in the morning at Blizzard's hacks department and coding new detection methods.

NOW THAT THEY HAVE A DETECTION METHOD, they will continue to ban HB even if there is not a single forum post bitching about bots in the future. whether HB works in arenas and BGs or not. as long as HB exists and people attach it to WoW to do ANYTHING, they will ban.

Same as with PQR, you'd have to be nuts to use HB now on any account you aren't 100% ready to lose. "other things in the works to limit the offense we give to the general WoW community" is hilariously naive. Blizzard is not going to shut down their anti-bot team and their lawsuit as soon as the "community offense" quotient drops below 50% or something. that's not how this works.
 
So far so good on my end. Enyo and Tuanha's Hunter routine still function 100%.

In time I might use HB to automate laborious garrison tasks, although I'm hesitant to do anything but use the CR functionality.
 
Isn't this like saying we are all going to die? You won't be playing World of Warcraft forever and Honorbuddy won't be around forever. So.... I guess the original post is correct in saying we are on borrowed time. :/
 
Hope you guys can procede to deactivate the bot in Bg's too. It' brings so much heat. It's so obvious to see the bots on the bg. That makes this statement about arenas a joke. If bossland really cares about this community and the WoW community, deactivate the bot in Bg's is mandatory. Even the non botters can see bots in Bg a mile away.
