Announcement of Diablo 3 Expansion! REAPER OF SOULS

Hopefully this expansion is going to bring enough players back to Diablo for it to be worth botting again.

Most people think that all legendaries will be account bound. If that is the case, botters will not make much in the long run. It seems they've finally realized that it's better if people actually play the game than making a few bucks on RMAH.

There will still be demand for rare items when leveling, but once you find a few legendaries, nobody will want those rares. They're essentially making the economy irrelevant. But I'm just guessing at this point.
 
I don't think they'd make the economy irrelevant. They still make a lot of Money through the RMAH even in this shitty current state.

Told you, they always do that. They know what the most people wanna see and give them that. Whether or not it is true and to what extend, that's another question.

That's really good if true.

Lets farmers still sell the high end base items, and lets the consumer roll the dice on mystic which also acts as an item sink.

I'll go look for it.

Blizzard isnt planning to make any improvements regarding pvp, and i think this might piss alot of ppl who remember their pre and early release promises. Either im stupid or they dont realise on how thin ice they are stepping.

Regardin BOA, for me half the fun in D2 was the trading aspect and I think a lot of people will agree on this. So Im surprised if they even consider making all or a lot of the legendarys BOA. The players go so out of their way to get rid of the botters that they seriously impair the game to the point where it will effect the people who play the game as well. I say players here cus it seems like its the players that want these changes, not Blizz.

If I was a player I would be pissed off if they consider a lot of BOA items but surprisingly I havent seen much complaints on Bnet forums. So maybe its just me.

And I hope they make it possible to only enchant items once, otherwise we can say goodbye to the perfect or near perfect roll market.

This was my first thought when i watched the press conference.. i was like.. when are they gonna announce the PvP changes? And they didn't at all. But then i decided to count to 10 and try to think about it for a moment, before i start hating;
1. They don't have time to announce all changes they are going to make in a 6 minute video.
2. They announced an expansion, before they announced the upcoming itemization patch.
3. They probably don't know all the changes they are planning for the official release of the Expansion.
4. They didn't have time to make so many innovations yet.
5. They might want a little bit mystery involved, because there are the kind of people who do that- they look at patch notes before a patch release (of any game) and be like- man, this is gonna suck or man, they fucked up again; without knowing anything for sure, since they haven't tested it.After all they are going to charge money for the expansion.
6. They might want to push the PvP upgrade further back- people will be preoccupied with PvE and farming and new items and new chars and new instances .. whatever. Why not make them stay along a couple of months more if they wanna see the new PvP.
7. They might have decided the PvP is a too small part of the game, compared to the rest and it doesn't deserve so much attention; they won't be too far from the truth.

As you see, there are numerous possible reasons for not announcing anything about PvP upgrade

Some relevant Loot 2.0 and Paragon 2.0 Information/Theories:

- The BoA Legendaries are from when you change the affixes at the Mystic(Enchanting). - Not Confirmed/Theory
- All existing paragon experience for each account will be consolidated and paragon points will be given. - Confirmed
- Multi-level Legendary Items = Great way to make some cash, selling leveling items. - Confirmed
- Transmogrification system, This could be a good way to make some money similar to the transmog items in WoW.
- For every Paragon Level gained you will get 1 point to put into "Core, Attack, Defence, Utility". 1 Point put into the Core(Str/Dex/Vit/Int) is worth 5 of that stat chosen. - Confirmed
- Paragon Points System, Attack = Crit, Crit DMG, AS etc, Defence = LS, LOH, Toughness(New Stat) etc, Utility = Movement Speed, Pickup Radius, Gold Find, Magic Find etc.
- Smart Loot = Every time a loot is dropped it has chance to have increased stats benefitial for your character, this could mean if the loot is "Smart Loot'ed" it goes BoA. - Not Confirmed

Time to level up some more Paragon 100s on my main account. :cool:
 
I wonder what will happen with GF/MF bonus from paragon levels...
Seems like once again we will have to keep farming and standard gear?

U dont understand, my colleague has send me this:

Q: Any news about PvP?
A: There won't be new changes to PvP in the expansion. Maybe there will be some in the future patch.

There WONT BE ANY changes to pvp in x-pac. Its theoretically possible that they wil release something beforex-pac, but considering blizz silence over that matter im considering it out of the question.

So as iv said there are only two possiblities - either i and some other ppl overestimate influence of not keeping their promises regarding pvp on blizz customer base, or blizz directors got heads in thier asses and doesnt realize that they digging grave for their company reputation with this maneuver.
 
Can someone advise if we need to purchase the expansion in order to benefit from the additional perks and new loots? Its gonna cost me hell lots of $$$ to upgrade the BOTs account.

You wont find level 70 loot which is going to be whats worth $.

Did you not save any of those phat stax you've made in the last year? =(
