Wildstar

Don't wanna be a jerk, but is there any possible, realistic ETA for this bot?

The game is almost dead, doesn't make a big difference now. Servers are practically empty, the only good BIG reason to get a bot working is for gold selling and now we don't have customers to buy plat in Wildstar.

Unfortunately, this bot is a couple months too late now. They're consolidating the realms down to a total of 4 and there's talk of them losing over 90% of their player base since launch. I know last time I logged in, there was hardly any chat and I only saw a couple of other players.

I was looking forward to the bot, but now I doubt I'll even give it a try.

Nonsense. The game is the highest grossing NA/EU title ever released by NCSoft. Yes, they are fixing a lot of stuff because they are losing players. But it still holds promise.

indeed the game is far from dead.. and reducing the servers down to MEGAservers... so 1 server for all of NA broken down into instances depending on how many players are logged in at the time, instead of having 6 or so realms for NA 1 megaserver for everyone, they are making the changes required and eventually when the game goes free to play and even though i'm still having a blast in wildstar i'm sure it will go free to play, the server will boom again just like all the other free to play games... so the bot isnt too late and it's fine.

Well thats the problem now, is it? MMOs that goes from a pay-to-play to a free-to-play business model usually goes down because of the sole reason that they cant hold enough players in their game thats why they're forced to transition

An example would be FFXIV, there was rumors of it going F2P but was later squashed due to how its prospering last time I checked

Look at it a financial standpoint, why would a company go F2P when its P2P business model is working; the transition is just not necessary

If it does go F2P it might prosper in the short-run but if they still dont shape up, the game is dead like SWTOR

Dont get me wrong, I am in the same boat as you guys and want the game to be successful but I just can not see that happening the way it is going at the moment.

Just a shot in the dark here but maybe thats why Apoc and the other Buddy Devs are delaying this as much as they can which is completely understandable since you dont wanna work on something and not profit from it in the end.

3 things. ..

1. SWTOR is currently one of the highest earning MMOs look at any financial charts for online games... since going free to play it's Incredibly popular which is funny considering they have the worst free to play model.

2. NCSOFT had many free to play / buy to play games on the market that are holding mass amounts of players and still make tonnes of money lineage for example. Guild wars 2, Aion (and aion has a great f2p model) since going free to play.

3. There is currently a beta test going on for this bot and no one is really holding back. regular updates to client, meshing and remeshing is getting done etc... so I don't know where you got that info from.

We're not delaying at all actually. We've been running a closed beta test for about a week now. Cleaning things up. I'm in the middle of adding quest support, and once that's tested, we'll be releasing something.

This game literally just came out calm your tays and let them work on something if they feel the need to.

I look forward to hearing of the results of these tests. :D

I think Wildstar will be around for a long time yet. Many games have huge population drops after the first few months as hard core gamers master the content then move on to the next new thing. I find Wildstar a lot of fun to play, even though parts are repetitive. My poor wrists just can't handle the dungeons because of all the button mashing I have to do, so I'm looking forward to an automated combat routine so I can enjoy additional aspects of the game.
