Who wrote an actual letter to Blizzard because of yesterday's topic?

Hello,

I was wondering how many people wrote an hand-written letter to Blizzard's head office in France? Yesterday's topic said that a person got unbanned this way.

I did too.

Anyone?
 
The letter is a privacy issue, whilst important isn't going to get your account unbanned it's all bs.

I have sent a letter(Australian version) and today I received a reply requesting my id for verification, to proceed with processing the required information..

Once again.. I'm not going for a unban.. I simple want to know what blizzard cps canned

I can't see in the thread anyone for support of the privacy letter is good idea or not. So stop giving your precious advises please.

Btw, its not a man this one, who is in fear like a chicked to not get a perma, but instead this one, who dare to do something out of the box.

You seems to have no idea what is outside the box, so keep dreaming! I remember, you loved it!

and second, i just recived a phonecall, and my account was unbanned after we hang up. My friend who told me about this, and gave me the exact same letter didnt recive any phonecall,but he got letter in his post with the information he asked for. what he did was open a ticket to the support and told them to unban him as there is no evidence against him longer cus the legal team have deleted it. Actually no, OP. It wasn't written by an attorney. It was written by me. Stop lying, it's terrible for your soul.

And here's the best part...after I sent it to ICU, I sent it to a user over Skype. Sephirofl might have shared it...but unlikely.

Since I wrote this on Monday, three days have not passed - you haven't sent it, it never reached their offices, and furthermore, they didn't 'call' you, because a callback must be registered through a ticket - and the legal offices (which you apparently sent this to) will not call you back without a licensed attourney present.

Everyone, please, understand that Blizzard is not overturning their bans. They are well within their rights, since they are not mishandling 'personal' data. You are welcome to see what personal data they have gathered on you - and it will just be a bunch of IP addresses, nothing more.

Letters such as mine will just lead to a permenant account closure. They reserve the right to close your account at any time, for any reason.

I hand wrote that letter, to the very word, and gave it to ICU for his thread.

Because - and here's the funny thing...I wrote the letter with a lot of loopholes. It won't work, at all. It's absolute bullshit. It's a hoax, a scam, a troll if you will.

You can feed or get fed with whatever you like to, you can do the same with the dreaming, it a free world out there.

But in most cases, individuals without any kind of juridical background can simply "troll" on serious problem like this privacy hoax.

If the legal cases were so accessible to the geeks, we would not have top-skilled attorneys out there and everyone would be allowed to represent himself without attorney in the Supreme court.


Stating this from the POV of small piece of the authority in my country. Do witness how individuals with no idea are treated, these with legal background and these with top skills on it.

On the same task, the difference in decisions is dramatic - this is not coding, there is no binary language here - no 0s, no 1s - it's always something in between.

I am afraid, geeks would not understand this statement, because Law looks so acceptable for reading and applying.

But it is always worth the try!

Here's the reason why webhond is so adamant: the letter I wrote will not get you unbanned. You can read the posts by eigoteacher to find out why, because I could spend all day arguing. It's full of loopholes, and since everyone and their grandmother is just copy-pasting the letter, it will simple be thrown out en-masse like all the others.

All it is going to do is get you a large stack of papers with IP addresses, nothing more. They are not overturning bans, and persistance (or in this case, annoyance and rudeness) is resulting in permenant account closure.

Of course, people are desperate and will cling to any shred of hope. The reality is you were stupid to bot on an account you care about, and now you face the punishment.

Webhond is just trying to prevent people from getting further punishment, and stop them from wasting time and effort.

Then why bot at all if you can not use it to advance your characters? Is it only useful for suicide gold grinding/selling?

I agree. Yes, I am banned on both my main accounts. I had 2 accounts full all level 100's because of kick's profiles. I only used leveling and Garrison bots. Why? Because I used this to advance my characters and not grind mats or gold. So people who say "YOu shouldn't bot on an account you can't afford to lose" Well...in theory that might be correct. But in fact...how else am I going to level all my toons to 100? By hand? No f......way.

i think more to the point.. bot for whatever reason you want, but then dont cry about it when you get punished... you know it was wrong, you know there was a risk of account suspension... deal with it, no letters, tickets, phonecalls, livechats or anything else is going to remove the suspension at this point... you have 2 choices

1 - wait the 6 months and be happy it's not a permanent account closure
2 - Buy a new account and risk that one (because yes, the risk is going to be greater than before now that blizzard knows it can cripple the bot when it pleases) or dont bot.
 
Wait, if something I learned through my life is everything is opened to at least 2 interpretations, laws are opening to tons of diferente interpretations, and the guys is correct, most of us, if not all in this forum know sht about laws. What you cant say, is if we mess with a huge company, we will have our arses kiked... its not true, and yes, even freaking assassin in this world has the right to defend himself with laws, and many times, they get free with it because the stupid laws can be read in several ways...

Now the article he told us might be wrong, gave us some hope? yes, well we try... saying there is nothing we can do about it is wrong, people just dont know what to do, or what to do, no game, or program, is above a country law, or european laws. We just dont know better/have the money to get a good lawyer.

Telling me I should be quiet in my corner as a kid that missed behaved is BS i can defend myself, and till they prove me I did something wrong I m not obliged to agree with them.

You know what, blizzard, and maybe other online games simply "spit" on their costumers, I never saw a company that doesnt allow us to phone them, email them, whatever, is just impossible, even the physical adress phone's number doesnt work, to avoid this complains.... so many ppl needing a job and they have couple of retards answering our emails with scripts... someone should tell them thats also illegal in some countrys, people have the right to speak up with the people they made a contract with, contract broke cause one the parts did something about that? then prove it, or else you deserve to be in a court of law

In my country, every single firm, shopping, store, whatever has to have a "yellow book" where people complain if they want to, if they dont allow us to write on that book we can call the police and they pay huge fines... now where is that book from Blizzard in my country? nowhere, I cant even phone them to france... is like a huge company that says pay me euros but at the end im just allowing you to use my servers, yours 400 days played are worth sht in my books if one day you missbehave... im even waiting blizzard to come my home and arrest me... oh wait, they cant, because their employees are bots, or, im sorry, are scripts...
