I just changed profs on my rogue to herb and alch. and im wondering whats the best alch specialization to pick for making gold... Potions, Elixirs or Transmutations?
I have 2 miners and a jc aswell.

Any advice?

Use potions. They sell for a lot less but you will sell a lot more of them.
Cataclysm nerfed alchemy with guild cauldrons meaning raiding guilds no longer needed to buy all of the flasks for everybody.

Transmutation is more of a lottery. May take you weeks but if you proc x5 on truegold you just got yourself around 3000g profit in about 6 seconds.

Potions are used a lot though for mana, health and short but powerful buffs. Many raiders who know what they are doing will pop a potion before initiating a boss encounter to have the best DPS.
 
I the end it all comes down to the demands of the actual server in question.

I is different from every server i think.

Many blacksmiths creates a demand for Elementium (mining) etc etc.
 
Mine Ore, Prospect, Craft All Possible, Vendor, Repeat.

No it isn't. Instead of vendor and repeat, craft items and DE. Sell mats on AH.
Or save raw uncut gems and sell them on the AH. I can get ~200G per stack of gems. (uncommon)
 
On my server there really isn't anything that's making me lots of gold. I have all professions, including all 3 alchemists. I used to go ore>prospect>craft>de>sell de mats and blue craftables. That still gets me a little gold from the blue craftables or middle level de mats. Hypnotic dusts are around 1g each. Ore is about 40g a stack. Flasks are around 75-80 each. There's still gold to be made but not like there used to be. There's so many people on my server and guilds have tons of people that farm/bot and make everything needed for the guild. I used to be able to make thousands a day selling nothing but fish and fish feasts in LK, not anymore. The only uncut gems that sell for more than about 5g are the red ones which are around 80g.

If hypnotic dust is that low - then take it one more step - take your hypnotic dust and embersilk and craft embersilk bags with a tailor... or take the dust and greater celestial essences and create another bag (can't find it right now cause I'm at school which blocks most game sites but there is a bag that uses hyp dust and GCEs and goes for a good amount of gold).
 
The bags are selling for 250g to 288g. The cloths are going for 3.34g right now and dusts are 88s. So it would cost 263.7 to make one. The other bag is going for 250g too. My server's economy is lame as hell right now. Making enchanting scroll things is not too bad if you can buy some of the mats off the AH for pretty cheap, like heavenly shards. For me it's more about making a lot of different things and making a little on each one. Pets are pretty nice too. I farmed and sold 3 emerald whelplings in one day. They went for 8500 each. I usually farm a few pets, mail em to my banker, move my farmer toon to another pet, and repeat.
 
i'll try my luck with skinning using honorbuddy 2 grindbot and use Sevenshoots Obisidian Forest profile selling Savage Leather works fine on my server or should i craft them into Heavy savage leather and buy Pristine Hide? maybe its more effective but it works well with Savage LEather :-)
 
JC for me, farming then prospecting the ores for gems which I sell as stacks for nightstone for example comes bout 1k per stack :P

Damn, only get around 20g per nightstone on my realm :/
And even that is quite high..

My realm sucks for making gold :(

well I'm on a realm dominated by the other faction so pretty much everythings over priced since what little group we have are raiders and don't have time to farm. So in a way it's kinda easy to get gold... Found out that farming Volatiles is also a good way to get more gold since they're bout 30-40g per volatile lol
 
I currently bot 6 accounts mine and herb.. 8 hours a night on each account makes me.about 90-100k per day..

I'm using Tailoring/Inscription on my mage at the moment and Mining/Herbalism on my botter warrior, my only profit is from herbs and ores by selling them cheap raw. I have no idea how to earn more gold using my other two proffessions. Should i give up Tailoring for Enchanting or Jewelcrafting? Any ideas on how i can make more gold and please some techniques :P
