What steps are being taken to prevent the next banwave?

In this never ending game of cat and mouse, I want to know if there's anything being done to decrease our risk on a software detection basis. If I remember correctly, after the last ban wave, the buddy staff couldn't figure out how the detection happened, and it seems to me like you guys moved on. Are there any plans to step up anti-detection methods?
 
Detection or no Detection, you will always be at risk when you bot. So if your scared of getting banned. My best suggestion would be to not Bot as this would guarantee 100% chance of not getting banned.
 
HonorBuddy is dead. After this ban wave Blizzard can officially announce their superiority over Bossland. While both companies are greedy, at least Bliz provides some of the content they announce.
 
Theres a difference between calculated risk and certainy. if the software is detected and we they dont implement the "next thing" to avoid it, then it is a certainty we will get caught in banwaves.
 
for example, the account i had suspended had only been reactivated a week ago. I botted a total of 3 hours, leveling, on a level 90 toon.

my other account which had been inactive for 2+ months and is still inactive had botted 24/7 for years, and is just fine now. something happened between 2 months ago and today that flagged us all.

what gives?
 
Bossland got greedy and stop improving their software. The fact that it is not 64 bit is one example of this. The fact that 90% of the functionality of the software relies on plugins, bot bases, CR's, and profiles NOT written by them is another example. This software is garbage.
 
thats it man, i'm taking a junior college course on law and sueing blizz up the ass! Gonna slap mental anguish as the main charge and try get man slaughter and child porn charges to stick on the case too
 
It could be something more simple. Have any of you heard of the anti-***** Fair Fight. Because they have allowed these forums open it wouldn't be hard to pay a person to just sit and read and collect data. Lets use garrisonbuddy as an example. If it hits the exact same spot every time. Every day, then you get a flag. Rack up enough flags and boom 6 month ban list. Same thing with questing. Have enough characters follow the same routine over and over, flagged, banned. If they have this system then detection of the bot in the ram doesn't matter. It may also be why HB accounts are getting a suspension instead of permaban.

Now that they are down to 3 million subs, how hard would it be to slim the list? 32bit client, windowed mode, click to move. Even if that narrows it down to 1 mill subs. Thats not a huge number to work with for 1 or 2 dedicated people.

Stop whining about tripwire ffs, not everyone got banned, and those who didn't will try to start the bot, and then if theres no tripwire they will try to bot with a program thats at huge risk right now. Oh and add a bypass and a warning? well most people will either A ignore it thinking its something stupid, or B dont read all of it see press yes to continue to bot, Those two choices leaves one result, someone else getting banned then bitching on forums about it. Or lastly C someone reads it and realizes oh shit lets not bot for awhile.
 
Realistically, it may be time for the codebase to be refreshed. With Blizzard having access to the source code, much of the "smarts" behind the anti-detection stuff is now wide open to them.
 
It will take them at least a year to start over. Maybe even longer, I dont say they will change a thing and keep selling as it is while saying (bot at your own risk) With the 2nd banwave we all know it is detected. Once not so sure but twice yep def.
 
havent you noticed there has been no updates, replies from staff on any threads, or threads closed.... they are all in hiding with there mounds of cash XD
 
I can assure you this time with out hesitation that HB was certainly detected..

Less the 7 hours ago I brought a new account (75% sale), I had only just attached HB and was setting up hairlooms bags and good ect, I had not hit start on this account at all..

Then the ban wave hit-this account was hit too..

So if anyone wants to say HB was not deteted please go F your self... Your a complete moron..

HB is over unless they rebuild a new program..

The return of investment doesn't add up anymore

Main account got 6 month ban, never afk bot it, ever. Only enyo or lazyraider, or questing while watching it. Been using HB for about 6 years now, had lots of farming accounts banned over the years, never one like this. They know now. They have to. There is absolutely no possible way this account could have been player reported. Must have been detected. D E T E C T E D!
Giving us 6 months to think about if we really wanna keep playing or not. And actually I think not most likely.

It's been a good run guys, I actually made a good bit of cash during LK and into Cata.
 
i bough the 75% of wow account too and botted it for a total of 10 minutes brand new account on a new computer on a new email address and boom banned before he hit lvl 5


all my accounts got banned, since last ban wave the only thing I used honor buddy for was for enyo to assist to do icc mount run, bout 10 runs a week that's it nothing else.

Have to agree. They say Blizz isnt allowed to see your processes, but obviously they have. That mixed in with the 32-bit system, its our fault (botters) for using such an old program.
