- Are you using a Perfect Ruby in Helm + Hellfire Ring (on yourself and follower) + Leoric Signet (on yourself and follower) + Cains set?
nope, don't care too much about P-levels, just the loot, takes too much time to get a hellfire ring and all that
- Which profile are you using?
Ultimate Sky-high extended
- Are you able to Facetank Arcane/Desecrate/Frozen/Reflect Damage mobs with zombie bears?
Yes I am, I reduced the pull distance to 20 yards. It basically runs up to everything, spams bears in the face and when its out of mana, it uses fireblast (by reducing the pulldistance to 20 yards I increased my gph by about 90k
- Following this build guide to the tee/T isn't a very good idea. (You can do a bit of research by reading on the bnet forum and actually playing the WD yourself).
Hmm.. well you're probably right about better builds and such. Just bought this setup on 3 WD's already.
Could you give me some insight of what you are using? 8) I like to keep my setups low-budget, only spend 5 mil / WD so I guess the results arn't that shabby.
I don't think you can spend 5mil per WD Bot and get good results. 5mil gear is going to get you like 200-300 IPH and maybe 150K GPH with plenty of deaths.
Even a budget monk like tesslerc's: http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb...ective-monk-build-act-3-champion-farming.html requires at least 20mil before inflation.
My test results from this wdcorder's WD guide was that things don't add up
1) It doesn't work with current versions of Trinity. He could have a custom edited one that can kite and avoid Desecrate/Arcane effectively which REQUIRES a lot of work and you could qualify as a Dev on this forum for that.
2) The numbers (esp the sheet dps which requires >20% Crit Chance, >400% Crit Dmg, >1200 dps, >1+ Attack Speed) below don't add up unless you have >1100 dps Manajuma's Carving Knife with crit dmg and open socket (which costs hundreds of millions). Not sure how one player can get >400% Crit Dmg when WD cannot dual wield weapons:
Gear:
Helm- Zunimassa's (with crit chance if you can afford it, if not go high int with mana regen)
Shoulders - 200+ int, a little vit, 60+ all resist
Amulet - 80+ int/vit with 8+ crit chance, and 40+ crit damage (average damage is a plus here; also lower int and add a socket if you aren't finding things in your price range)
Chest - Zunimassa's with as high Int/Vit that you can afford
Bracers - Lacuni's with Int/Vit and 9% attack speed (can find cheap)
Gloves - Lots of options here, I went with 70+ int/vit, 50+ all resist, and attack speed/crit chance (I like attack speed here as bears essentially one shut mobs without crit damage on low mp's still)
Belt - 80+ int/vit, 60+ all resist, pick up radius
Ring 1 - int hellfire
Ring 2 - cheap zunimassa (just get crit damage, average damage, and int)
Pants - Blackthorne's Jousting Mail (as high int/vit that you can find)
Boots - Zunimassa's (get 8% poison damage, and 150+ int, and 90+ vitality
Off Hand - Thing of the Deep (215+average damage, 150+int, 8+ crit chance, a little vit)
Weapon - Manajuma's Carving Knife (80+ crit damage, and as high dps that you can afford)
**Most of these can be had fairly cheap, and though your sheet dps might not be off the charts, it is the build and passives that make this work. My intelligence gets up to 4800 when actually botting, and because of this my all resist goes through the roof. My sheet dps is right around 80k, but buffed the WD gets up to 150k+.
3) It disobeys the law of ActiBliz CEO Bobby Kotick's RMAH builds:
Lifesteal gear = Very Rich
Life on Hit gear = Rich
Life After Kill gear = Average Income
None = Poor
and guess what => Zombie Bears belong to the Lifesteal category.
It can be extremely distasteful after spending time/gold/$ to level up 1-60 on a WD (without MP10 powerleveling services or exploits), (and yes WD are very very gear dependent, you need to upgrade every 5-10 levels, unlike Monks/Barbs which you can get away with 10-20 levels) and that you have wasted even more gold and time in getting all the gear on that list and you find that the build doesn't even work when hand-played.
