Warning; Blizzard banning IP related accounts, whether you bot or not.

You can trust that most people use 2nd hand information they read from some troll who has no clue what hes talking about or exaggerating about what happen or didn't tell the whole story.

Yep. i trust the blue post.

if your main account gets banned and you did absolutely nothing wrong on it . . . then put a ticket in and dispute it. Seriously why would Blizzard ban per IP? what if I bot on my account but my little brothers play on their own accounts without bots while my bots are offline? is that fair to them ? no .... Blizzard would be pulling a sloppy ass move by banning per IP, either you have done something wrong on your main or they just fucked up and will give you your account. worse case scenario they will link your main account to your bots through trades etc. and same registered user name, credit card, paypal or other crap like that. Technically though if they can't find any botting evidence on your account then it should not be banned. Even if you did trade with your bots. Everyone trades so what.

Here is the thing you people FAILED TO UNDERSTAND.

guilt by association happens. They will look or take the stance, that you grained/profited someway from the acts of the people you associated with. I have been targeted for IP bans in the past in EverQuest. They do happen. Blizzard typically uses other methods to handle this, but in this case they seem to play the money game.

Every account they ban is another 20$ profit they add up. Every time a botter sells something they make money, they then ban you and make more money. Stop crying about bans ffs, you KNOW you are doing something they have asked you not to do. When you do get caught don't cry like the little bitches most of you are acting like. Move on buy more accounts repeat. If you don't want your main flagged, don't bot.

That is life. Deal with it and move on. I'm more annoyed about the lack of updates and a forced unstucker that breaks things then the BANs that WILL happen.

EDIT - For all you morons talking about calling and getting them over turned. Its not going to happen one is an MMORPG the other is not

lol JJ :) People will cry because that's what they do. Funny part is I've never been banned in EQ :)

Just because someone on this site says something doesn't make any of it true. If you believe even half the stuff people here post you're naive.

Everyone who believes something you don't is a moron. Believing what happened to yourself (in my case) obviously makes me a moron too according to you. good one.

if you have dynamic ip address like a lot of people including me, restarting your modem changes your IP address

GUILT BY ASSOCIATION BANS CONFIRMED, gg, just gonna dispute the charges for the game, this company has gone to shit, period.

Ya because you can trust everyone here is telling the truth about what they did on each account ?.
I feel the same way you do about this situation. My assumption to the majority of the people getting their bots and main account banned is due to using scripts such as zk for powerleveling their bots. This is information that most people aren't willing to share and would like to point the blame on something else.

You should of just told them that you multi-box only, and dont mention anything about other accounts botting, play dumb, pretend you share ip with roommates and you don't know what they do. Multibox alone shouldn't get ban unless they say it specifically.

how can you conclude by this email that your account was banned due to association with botters?

i wonder what blizzard would do if I filed dispute with them via PayPal for the accounts i bought???

hope they wouldn't dispute my RMAH transactions LOL

how can you conclude by this email that your account was banned due to association with botters?
because hes said previously that his main account didnt bot but only traded with his bot accounts

Wrong, I said I multibox with 4 accounts on an entirely different computer that DB isn't even installed on. I have never traded or even been in the same game as any of my bots. This is 100% a case of guilt by association. There have already been others stating that bans were done to their roommates that did nothing wrong either. This essentially means any college dorms who play diablo 3 and have a single botter that gets banned will have all other d3 players on that IP banned as well. Lan centers with bots, Cafe's with Bots, Apartment complexes, Hotels, you name it. Guilty if you were playing from the same location as a botter, period.

I have never logged onto any of my bot accounts from this computer, I have never installed DB on this computer, I have never traded or been in a game with my bots, I use this computer 100% for multiboxing only. ONLY. The gear they had were farmed 100% multiboxing. If that isn't clear enough for some of you -- nothing is.

so, why don't you send an email asking what is the violation your account have commited to get banned? then you will be sure it's because it's related or not to botters and even they could also think something wrong happened and banned you by accident. you should try, nothing to lose anyway...

Most likely banning on Mac address than IP, that would make more sense. Some modems carry a Mac adress which will show all computers connected to it share the same Mac address which on blizzard side will look like a single computer.

How is that guilt by association confirmation? it does not tell you the evidence.

You make money off them, then try to steal the investment back? Pure class btw

I already did ask them what it was for and they gave me the copy/paste "it was looked into extensively and will not be overturned" bs.
