http://www.thebuddyforum.com/demonb.../60672-wtf-banned-gold-account-main-acct.html

Just warning you, I quad box and used to bot prior to being banned. All 4 of my quad boxers just got hit and they never even took a single gold coin from my botters, not on recently played with, never used them on a computer that botted, I don't even have demonbuddy installed on this computer, nothing. If you bot and have friends that play with you; be warned that if you get banned so will they.

Ya because you can trust everyone here is telling the truth about what they did on each account ?.

ticket. my bet is that the ban was automated and will get removed if they investigate it.

seen a few threads on official d3 forums about people being banned today for no reason, whether its the truth or not who knows

You did something else on the main that you're not saying. I had multiple accounts on the same IP as my bots and none of them banned including other bots.

I just got a ban on my main account however I did trade gold/items to it from botted accounts. Guess that doesn't even matter seeing how people are getting main accounts banned that did no transfer with bot accounts at all. Fucking ridiculous for blizzard to ban accounts based on IP. If you still have main/gold holding account left I'd suggest unloading your stuff.

My main just got banned, absolutely no bots ran on it at all, did trade gold/gear etc.

Include the email for the accounts affected? I'd like to read what specifically they are banned for.

Haven't received an email yet. If you bothered doing research instead of random trolling you'd see that another guy in the banned section said his buddies who never botted got banned who were roommates of his. I really don't give a damn if you believe me or not. I quad boxed, meaning I had plenty of profit already. I was as safe as possible other than having an IP masking program running. I am not the only one experiencing bans by association (IP relation only).

if your main account gets banned and you did absolutely nothing wrong on it . . . then put a ticket in and dispute it. Seriously why would Blizzard ban per IP? what if I bot on my account but my little brothers play on their own accounts without bots while my bots are offline? is that fair to them ? no .... Blizzard would be pulling a sloppy ass move by banning per IP, either you have done something wrong on your main or they just fucked up and will give you your account. worse case scenario they will link your main account to your bots through trades etc. and same registered user name, credit card, paypal or other crap like that. Technically though if they can't find any botting evidence on your account then it should not be banned. Even if you did trade with your bots. Everyone trades so what.

I do not believe that Blizzard, or any other company, will ban based off of IP address. Who is to say that you aren't on a public network connection, like Starbucks, where other's also connect? What about college dorms?

If you feel it has happen to you, file a support ticket and demand an explanation. Ensure you tell them that you play on a free network connection, that you have no control over who uses. (Even if you don't, lol!)

Already did, and they did ban me for this, along with a few others already if you bothered to read the forums rather than just spewing out your thoughts. =) One guy even said his college roommates got banned and they did -nothing- wrong. Doesn't matter what you believe though, we'll see what the appeal does.

Just because someone on this site says something doesn't make any of it true. If you believe even half the stuff people here post you're naive.

i know what post light is talking about, it's carguys acct. a man who makes somes of the profiles for us, now why would he bother lieing or troll us ?

If your "main" account never botted, but you traded gold and/or gear to it, then it was immediately tainted by botting. I would imagine the TOS would allow them to ban you (especially because there are blanket statements galore).

I believe the ToS stated that we're not allowed to play the game from public hotspots, ie Starbucks. If there's someone here who actually read the ToS, please confirm or deny.

lol I would love to see that enforced :)

And tunneling services? such as pingzapper, etc services that let you use servers closer to you to increase ping time? You share ips with various people (or you have the possiblity to get one that somebody else recently had)... Blizzard allows services like those (or they did in wow anyways). I'm thinking those cases will probably be able to be overturned.
