[PAID] [Warlock] Demonic - An Advanced Honorbuddy Warlock Routine [PvE/PvP]

I have been using profiles and guides from kink for a while now, really looking forward to your updated guide! just finished downloading the beta, got my Demonic up to date, looking forward to tonights raid :D

Hi :D what is the diffrent if you pay for it :)....

A lot, the difference is good and bad dps in a raiding environment ;). The premium version uses a DoTManager and different mechanics on increasing DPS as a warlock 10 fold.

I've updated my raiding settings file and am posting it to my guide and here to this reply.

What I've changed:
-- Affliction DoT expiration threshold updated to the new defualt.
-- Affliction drain soul cast canceling has been enabled, for sniping; shards remaining is set to 0 (set it to 1, if you feel your embers are extremely sparse on a certain fight) and HP% to 6.
-- Destruction Immolate expiration threshold updated to 4,250, I'd recommend ~4,550-4,700 if you're on a heavy movement fight; HP% set to 2.75m.
-- I lowered Ember Tap and Healthstone usage health %s; this point in the expansion during farm they should hardly if ever be used even if close to death to save GCDs. If you set them too low I've found they simply won't cast so current healthstone is at 33 (Prior to 30%) and Ember tap to 20.
-- Mannoroth's fury is enabled, disable it if you please.

I'm going to be working on updating my encounter guides today for more in-deph recommendations.
kink -
Can you shoot me a link to your site with your guides? You can PM it to me. Also, did you do the guide that's on Millz's site for destruction? I can't remember who did that one. I know with destruction I get more DPS than with affliction, but that's only because I'm geared, gemmed, enchanted, and reforged for destruction.

You can check out the guide I linked in that post, this one: https://www.thebuddyforum.com/honor...-warlock-routine-pve-pvp-493.html#post1434561

Most locks run a Mastery > haste > Crit setup; allows for easy spec switching between destru and affliction.

Ah, see, I go by AskMrRobot.com since I'm a noobtard when it comes to gemming and such. Do you do all your reforging, gemming, and enchanting by hand calculations or do you have an addon/website that assists you in doing them? I'd like to be able to switch out specs without having such a vast difference in DPS numbers. Right now in my current setup (AMR stats for Destruction) I lose almost 70k dps going from Destruction to Affliction.

Edit:
Hrm, seems the link for "your guide" just takes me back to this very same page. I'll dig through the thread and try to find your guide though. I won't promise to be successful. I know Millz has a guide on his website that someone gave him, but I think it's only for destruction.

Askmrrobot is great so long as you use the right stat weights. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gr0J9ohrQw0 Good video guide to optimizing your toon :).

The guide has been acting weird, the link on the main post; it doesn't actually go to the guide for some reason...but that one is working for me so I'm not sure what's wrong with it now o.O. Maybe this will work?

You could reforge all of your stats to Crit and it wouldn't make THAT big of a difference with how destruction's secondary stats work. Affliction is doing pretty good now with .734; 800k on protectors last time.

Ah, thank you for the sparkuggz video. I just followed that to change up my Destruction stuff. I wasn't too far off the mark there. Haven't don't anything for affliction yet. I saw you had a set of settings for affliction posted up. Would you possibly mind doing one for destruction as well? It's cool if you don't want to. That link you gave me to your post worked; the second one anyway, not the first one. I appreciate your patience and help. I'm still trying to get BiS trinkets, which I still haven't gotten from Immersius, Shamans, or Garrosh yet. No one wants to give me a trinket. I've gotten three capes from Immersius though, all on extra rolls. Very frustrating. Garrosh I've only killed once in LFR, and the rest of the stuff just drops gold.

My settings are what I use for both affliction and destru :).

What is the best spec for farming honor on a fresh lock with this?
I would go with destruction honestly, but I'm biased. I haven't given that much attention to Affliction, but only because my gear level isn't high enough for affliction to outperform destruction. My affliction dps was 135k while my destruction dps was 180k at 532 ilvl. No meta, no cloak, no BiS trinkets.

Seed of Corruption logic is good but the I can see what you've tried to do.

The problem with the current version is that if you try to move whilst the targets meet the aoe value the routine just spams SB:SS on every single target. You MUST test your changes for PvP to include constant movement.
Other than that, i haven't seen any major issues and it seems to be working fine.

This was using the beta build of honorbuddy. I tested this at high rbg ratings with groups that run double warlock and it was fine :)

Hey - At least it's sort of working again though, right!?! :)

I'm not sure what you mean with the moving thing. You can't cast SoC when moving so you need to stand still until you get those 2 DoTs up and rolling, after that you can move around. It won't pop MF until both SoC DoTs are up and it can inhale though. Don't think I'm fully understanding the issue.

Cheers

Haha yeah! it is sort of working again :) atleast I feel like its back to its old self, so that's definitely good.

Now let me clarify what I was attempting to describe. Say for example that I:

- Set the high aoe unit count to 3
- I then go to the stormwind dummies that have 3 stood in close proximity to one another.
- I start the routine and it immediately tries to double seed into 3 dots and spread! That's fantastic :)
- Here lies the problem
- Movement, obviously in PvP even if there are 3 people stood close to each other it's not always the right time to stand there and cast seed. Someone might be hitting me, I might have to move out of AoE/Ring of Frost/Move into carts on Silvershard Mines etc etc.
- When the high aoe unit count is met AND I try to move, it doesn't Soul Swap correctly.
- When the high aoe unit count is met + I am moving, it understands that it shouldn't cast seed. Great.
- The problem is that it spams SB:SS on every target. As in after 4 targets I've ran out of Soul Shards because it spammed SB:SS on each. Once reaching 0, it soul swaps like normal. If I gain a Soul shard it'll use it right away.

These problems only occur if the high aoe unit count is met during the entire time. However due to this I haven't been able to test your new Seed logic in Rated BG's as well as I'd like.

I hope that made sense, its weird to explain.

Is someone here that have a Affli RBG/Arena Guide? Would be rly awsm to get one cuz im new in Affli but i dont know how to set it up right

Thanks, I think I understand now - so if I basically make the high AoE rotation (SoCing) make a check that we aren't moving before entering that rotation, it should fix it. If you are moving then just stick to the standard rotation?

Yes. Exactly that:

If not moving, check if high unit count is true. Execute high aoe rotation.
If moving. Execute normal Soul Swapping even if high aoe count is equal or greater than the value assigned.

Essentially it's doing this already, the only problem is that is uses Soulburn: Soul Swap on every target if the high aoe unit count is true. By the time its dot'ed 4 targets I'm all out soul shards and possibly over-writing high powered dots that were there before etc etc.
