It's had a lot of work recently and seems to be performing well. You'd have to fully regem etc to see the full benefit though. I'm holding off until 5.4 before doing that.

I am sorry I don't agree with this. My lock is ilvl495 and I am doing around 70-80k as Demo, no lag using tyrael @ 60 with framelock on.
Upgrade your shit.

Something is wrong there. Can you post a log file from when you've ran this raid? I'm aware of some errors being spammed but still trying to track down where it's coming from.
What do you define as bad fps?
Well... If you think 70-80k dps is good for 495 ilvl , its ok. But u should know that its not...

You've got a 20s gap where you're targeting yourself so the routine isn't doing anything - and I can see you were moving in the process;

On the Primordius you should be disabling AoE, it's spent most of the fight DoTing the adds.
There are some errors in the log though which i'll I know of, and am trying to hunt down. I'll run a few LFR's over the weekend as affliction and try to iron them out.

no offense, but u should read again about warlocks and demospecc
with BEST conditions
- Tank n Span Encounter (or also known as Patchworkstyle)
- up to NONE reaction time (means between 0 and 5 ms)
- no lag
- all raidbuffs
- all enchanted
- all gemmed
- all reforged
u will have between 80 and 100k dps, and an average of of ... something between 85 and 87k dps
as soon as all or some of the above conditions doesn't met (for example u respecced from Destruction to Demonology without reglyphing/reenchanting/reforging) your dps is dropping to 70 - 92k dps with an average of 80k dps
at ilvl 517 (still no optimal gear, which is the MOST burst for the demo and affliction ... this BIS gear / trinkets) you will sit at around 127-130k (we are still talking about a Patchwork style combat)
as soon as we get some movement, target switches, missing raidbuffs, missing raiddebuffss or anything else, u will drop in dps very fast below steady 110k (with ilvl 517)
well ... now u could say "l2p noob", but to be honest ... when Simulationcraft, Elitistjerks and some other sites (and tools) are saying the same (see the values above), u should read again and play again the demo lock
Surely u can burst to maximum of 240k dps (at ilvl496 with some missing enchants/gems) with enough luck of proccs, and stop the fight after that to say "i'm da man!", but if u do the fight for 4-8 minutes (this is the time u'll need currently for most of the encounters) u will see that ur average dps will be at around 85-87k dps.
and yes Demo is currently the strongest DPS specc for Warlocks, and yes with current bis hc gear u will sit at around 240k singletarget, but we are talking bout an ilvl-difference of 53 ilvl
so don't expect any higher numbers at ilvl 495 / 496, u won't ever get them ... except in your dreams...maybe
Every demo notice I've seen has made mention of needing lei shens trinket and it being an absolute must to see dps. I don't have it and haven't really experimented. All my reading and material comes from icy veins class write up and forums because zygor is informative. Have you checked that source for rotation and proc management?

I've got the trinket. There's a lot of code which revolves around it as you say.

Updates;
[26/Jul/2013]
- Routine should no longer break crowd control abilities which are cancelled upon damage, or cast on targets which are invunerable.
- Added code to help dismounting when Questing.
- Destruction: CB with Havoc should be resolved.
- Demonology: Default AoE unit count corrected to 5.
- Demonology: Re-written most of single target logic.
- Updated spell logging to use new API (unit).SafeName.
- Multi-DoTing now prioritises our current target.

Hmm it should work. I'll try and test it out to see whats going on before the next release. As Madaraa says, give Singular a go for now, or get to level 10, chose a specification, and try again (as it uses a different routine).

did u simcraft your toon and deactivated everything that u can't provide while testing (heroism, potions, buffs from other classes) and compared the simcrafted value with the current provided value by the cr?
also did u respecc/gem/forge/enchant everything to demonology?
what is your gear level?
and so on^^
man ... the values are good, but i need a more defined scenario to have something i can compare with^^
and also i/we/whoever should know how you are doin currently in demo to find the issue (if there is one)
maybe u cancel / enter metamorph to early/late
wrong stackup of cooldowns?
and so on^^

SimCraft with my current gear (destro gemmed etc), with everything disabled to a like-for-like that i did in game shows 81k DPS - which is bollocks, because it also says a lot of damage comes from Soul Fire, but using their exact logic it never casts.
Need to have a good sit down and read EJ/Icy Veins I think. Off to the cinema now though, maybe have another go when I get back.
Post #512 gahdo runs the simcraft and mentioned on icy veins.
He goes in depth about his modules and it looks to be logs. Idk if it would help you as it looks like code/logs. Figured I would try and minimize your reading if possible
