hey, im working on this profile and there's a few area's or building that aren't navigating correctly, so here we go.

Basically that stupid spiral Staircase.

More to come as i find them. i didn't remove my character name because i figured you guys wouldn't care, and nether do i really. more of these spots to come.

The nav in 'The Cauldron' in Searing Gorge (trying to get inside of the caves at least) - it just stands up on top of the ridge somewhere :\

Successfully generated path from {-6502.135, -1175.666, 326.0058} to {-6868, -1233, 240.6785} in 143 milliseconds The cave is at the bottom of the pit and you're supposed to ride an airplane there for a quest (but you can generally get to it by foot very easily).

If you're at the bottom, you can easily get inside of the cave - so something is missing with nav between the top up there and the bottom


Nav issues with WPL at 'Garhrron's Withering'. It won't get on / off the cauldron platform, it wants to go to the back side of it and stand there

also at Gahrron's Withering, I cannot get the bot to inside the house, it wants to go to the back side of the house

both places at Gahrron's Withering are solved by MyCTM's to get inside and outside, but it would be nice if they were fixed :)

The picture where i'm at the fireplace - i can interactwith the picture on the wall (it's sparkling), but the bot won't 'default' collectitem it due to nav

I end up CTM'ing off of the tower after the objective is complete so that i don't have to deal with the ramp :D

The bell tower that is meshed at farshire in borean tundra ... It looks meshed, but sometimes it just doesn't want to ring the friggen bell :( I think i'll add 10 yard range to interactwith, instead of whatever the default is, maybe that will fix my issue. I know that you've already taken a look at it, and I see that it's yellow where it's meshed :\

Water nav - there's a handful of quests that deal with water... Winterfin quests, a couple just east of valiance keep, a few in dragonblight, etc. I can get you quest id's and wowhead links if you want to look into it (or enable flightor for water questing bot)

At Fizzcrank Airstrip in borean, sometimes the bot goes haywire inside of the little house there with the elevator, can you look into it?

I'll probably just add FlyTo for that particular one, but if someone dies in the water, they may not be able to get back.

shortly after that, i think this is the place, just to the west of the above coords, the bot has issues with navigating on the white platform with a couple of quest givers on it. I don't have the coords right off hand, but if you stand at the turtle and look across the water, there's a big white platform with npc's on it

Deepholm has a lot of issues with corpse runs and repairs due to damn near everything being out of range of flight =(

Uldum, did you get the pictures that I posted in your other thread for nav issues? the ones at Orsis, there were some nav issues there where it stood in the archway at Orsis (west of ramkahen).


I'll report back with more on cata / bc / lk and some more classic when I run into issues.

Could not generate full path from {-8243.148, -1801.083, 147.9286} to {-8088.02, -1882.75, 183.0007} (time used: 2.251 seconds) at The Pillar of Ash area in central Burning Steppes - i have to go all the way to the top (like 3 stories around this staircase :(

I'm also having an issue with the bot trying to go through the wall (for another quest) in the same tower, to get to something outside of it, or maybe it's upstairs, since the Z axis is almost 30 yards up

The nav in 'The Cauldron' in Searing Gorge (trying to get inside of the caves at least) - it just stands up on top of the ridge somewhere :\

Successfully generated path from {-6502.135, -1175.666, 326.0058} to {-6868, -1233, 240.6785} in 143 milliseconds The cave is at the bottom of the pit and you're supposed to ride an airplane there for a quest (but you can generally get to it by foot very easily).

If you're at the bottom, you can easily get inside of the cave - so something is missing with nav between the top up there and the bottom

There is no problem with the navigation. It's HB generating wrong hotspots for the quest. Add an override.

Nav issues with WPL at 'Garhrron's Withering'. It won't get on / off the cauldron platform, it wants to go to the back side of it and stand there

I have to use a lot of runto's because the bot wants to try and collect this item from the ground instead of the nest on the tower

This quest is somewhere in Netherstorm, I don't recall exactly where, but it has issues.

The bell tower that is meshed at farshire in borean tundra ... It looks meshed, but sometimes it just doesn't want to ring the friggen bell :( I think i'll add 10 yard range to interactwith, instead of whatever the default is, maybe that will fix my issue. I know that you've already taken a look at it, and I see that it's yellow where it's meshed :\

What is the problem? Where is the bell? You'll most likely have to deal with it manually (can't you just RunTo to the top of the stairs, then InteractWith?)


Water nav - there's a handful of quests that deal with water... Winterfin quests, a couple just east of valiance keep, a few in dragonblight, etc. I can get you quest id's and wowhead links if you want to look into it (or enable flightor for water questing bot)
Is there an actual problem? What is the problem?

At Fizzcrank Airstrip in borean, sometimes the bot goes haywire inside of the little house there with the elevator, can you look into it?

If you can get there with RunTo's, there is nothing wrong with the mesh. Try adding a quest override.

In Hyjal at Tortolla? I think, the big turtle on the east side of the map that's chained to 2 rods, there's a pool of water in there that needs to be meshed or flightor added for. I ended up myctm'ing for now

It probably wasn't in the database the first time. You need to manually add the location of the NPC, as you have done in the PickUp tag.
Note that you can not put it in the TurnIn tag; you need to add an override for the quest where you tell it the turn in position.

shortly after that, i think this is the place, just to the west of the above coords, the bot has issues with navigating on the white platform with a couple of quest givers on it. I don't have the coords right off hand, but if you stand at the turtle and look across the water, there's a big white platform with npc's on it
The mesh on that platform looks ok. Care to elaborate?
Deepholm has a lot of issues with corpse runs and repairs due to damn near everything being out of range of flight =(

Uldum, did you get the pictures that I posted in your other thread for nav issues? the ones at Orsis, there were some nav issues there where it stood in the archway at Orsis (west of ramkahen).
I'll look at this when I reach it in the thread (I'm a little bit behind).

In Hyjal, did you mesh that one cave?

Yes, the cave was fixed.

There's also the Forge in Grizzly hills at Amperine Lodge - the bot likes to get stuck in the side of it -_-

I'll need to go there to fix it. For now, a blackspot is fine (the mesh doesn't actually know about forges because they are game objects sent by the server).

Eyes of Skettis - No override yet, i'll do that next time i'm on the quest
The bell in Farshire (borean tundra - just n/ne of valiance keep), I think it's an 'interact range' issue. If i change range to 10, it will probably work
water nav, sometimes the bot will go into water, but sometimes it gives me findendpoly errors. - i'll document in detail in the next few days for you
white platform in Hyjal, i'll take a picture of it next time i'm there and show you what the bot did (it basically ran into the side of the stairs trying to interact w/ quest giver instead of going around to the stairs. i even blackspotted and it still did it :( - but flyto solved my issue)

Deepholm - since almost everything is on the outer ledges, the bot can't fly back to a repair NPC. some are on other ledges where they're too steepe to get to by horse (since hb currently doesn't nav via flying). eXemplar give me a behavior that when i tested it (with RunTo's), it navigated into the sky. I haven't tested it yet for pickup / turnin / mail / repair yet, it's on my to-do list today. - He said it didn't call the navmesh


And of course, thanks so much for the nav fixes :) I feel like banging my head into the wall sometimes QQ'ing at :D

I'm still getting this at the tower in burning steppes at the pillar of ash. This tower has NPC quartermaster Kaoshin at the bottom of it, and npc Voodooist Timan at the top of it. central burning steppes just south of chisel grip. The starting point is about 10-15 feet from the bottom of the stairs (basically it won't "round up" the stairs)

update: 1st-2nd floor is broken. 2nd to 3rd floor (top) is fine.

MaiN, natfoth is QQ'ing that Northrend_38_25.etm is unable to be downloaded from the HB servers (he tried restarting bot, too)
 
There's issues with Twilight Highlands - all of the ruins that have broken houses and basements seem to not work most of the time. If you look at my TH profile, lots and lots of MyCTM's there =(

i'm re-running it right now and it's about the same as when I made it a month ago :(

any chance that the questing bot can support both MobId and NpcId for KillCount="1" for instance? I would like to replace all mobid with NpcId, but it's going to mess up the profiles bad =(

I've had many issues with this quest.

Also, on the north side of badlands where it links with loch modan, there is a huge trench, and it looks like mesh is not going through the trench, there are zig-zaggy ramps that go down into the trench and back up the other side which one can easily path to and from. atm, the bot wants to take some users to SoS or Twilight Highlands for no reason (including Mordd and fpsware... but i never saw this issue).

There's a Cannon in SoS at Marshtide watch that shoots you onto a boat halfway across the zone, and it works fine the way i scripted it... but the kicker is if you have a crappy toon / cc / gear / etc and you die, there is no way to get back. Is there anyway that if it's trying to get onto a particular set of coords, to go back and interactwith a gameobject to get there?

at sketti's (terrokar forest), there's a little hut with a friendly npc inside of it, right smack in the middle on the little island (if you've grinded the rep up for sha'tari skyguard, it's the same island as you summon Terrok at). the bot has issues pathing in and out of the hut.

Quest Bot:

Lava... we need some way to detect if we're in lava so we can move the hell out of it. There are some quests which require you to kill various mobs that are in lava (pull them and get on a rock that's no in lava for instance). So many of toons leveling up are chain dieing due to lava
 
Halaa in Nagrand (BC) needs to be hard blacklisted from the mesh
