The bUseBerserker bool was added by Bombastic so that WotB is only used on Arcane, Frozen, Jailer, Molten and Electrified+Reflect Damage elites. Other packs don't really pose any problems for WW barb so WotB is saved in those cases. This greatly reduced my death count at mp5+.

Exactly this. Wotb doesn't need a fix, but understand how it works: actually is used only in elites with one of these affix. Anything else is a totally waste IMO.

I really don't understand why someone would want to use a 2 minute cooldown skill in every easy elite pack. This only makes sense if you are very undergeared or in the wrong MP level.

But maybe the solution is to create a gui option, "Use WotB only in hard elites".
 
So, I found my bug that I introduced in refactoring that was making the item valuation go totally wacky. My sincere apologies for that!

I tuned up the item valuation weights a little. It's more conservative in item valuation now, so it may be worthwhile to lower your scores slightly if you're not using the default 70/16/15. Scores on most item types have been adjusted.

I found a LOT of max values that were very incorrect - like DPS @ 1250 for 1h weapons and dex/int/str/vit max values incorrect, among others. Old weights are still kept in the Constants.cs file in case I F#$&'d this up.

I tweaked the valuation calculation now to down-weight weapons with less than 70% max DPS - for 1h this is ~ 1050, for 2h this is ~ 1190. Weapon item scores will not adjust due to this alone. Would like your feedback on this change!

Changelog:

Fixed bug with varibales not being reset on the valuation loop.
Auto-trashes blue items now.
Updated stat max values for most stats.
Revised weights slightly for weapons (e.g. we don't want 800 dps weaps to be > 70000).
Added additional logging for item valuation.

Please note that for WW barbs, the damage on an off-hand dagger really doesn't matter too much unless it's below 60% of the main hand damage.

Would this mean that the items won't be saved? Because a dagger with 600-700dps, 3%life steal, crit hit damage and socket is worth over 100m..

Yeah I'd suggest a toggle. I'm actually thinking the complete opposite here haha. I think you are using selective wotb elite targeting because you're undergeared or running too high MP. Stay with me here:

I think the reasoning behind it is to ensure wotb is available for tough elite packs. The worry is you use it up on an easier elite and then not have it for a tough one. The problem with this thinking is the likelyhood that you run into two tough elites in a row (I don't have hard numbers on how likely this is, but for me, it's frequent). So in those cases, you might not have wotb ready for the 2nd pack (maybe mid fight). So if you frequently encounter "tough" elites, this thinking really doesn't solve the problem because every other elite, wotb *might* not be ready. AND - if you encounter a string of a few easier elites, you never bother to turn on wotb and take longer to kill them (theoretically).

If you're properly geared and running the right MP level, there shouldn't be any tough elites (maybe 1 - 2 instances per run where the perfect storm hits).

Now I'm new to Barb here so take this with a grain of salt if you will, but from watching my char, most elites I encounter, wotb kicks on. Some instances maybe not until midfight, but regardless of the affixes, it doesn't seem to make a huge difference whether I survive or not. In has more to do of where you encounter the elite that makes them tough or not (though there are some affix combos that of course, suck no matter where you are).

Personally, I'd rather churn through all elites as quick as possible. I should think having wotb active for as many elites as possible would yield the best/quickest results UNLESS you're using to help survive the tough elites so you don't die. For those going high MP runs for keys or what not (I can't imagine anyone is using MP5+ for gold/xp farming), a selective use of wotb might be in order.

If you're farming for gold/xp...there really shouldn't be any tough elites for you so having wotb active as much as possible *should* yield the best results. Maybe I'll run a test and see what wins as I can burn through MP4 without issue so an MP2-3 run should be a fair test.

That's my take anyway :)

rrrix, need to fix your description on it though, still reading v1.7.0.2 and I believe you're on to version 1.7.0.4 from your post anyway :P
 
I'm talking to rrrix right now. The newest version has a problem with the avoid @ health % slidebars. He's working on it

does that new version of rrrix use darks ruleset or is it without it or does it have the toggle set up for it now? just wondering
 
It definitely still uses it. Not sure if there is a toggle, I didn't see one but I didn't really look either :)

rrrix modified it I believe, so it might behave differently than the "stock" version of it???
 
my problem with darks ruleset is it will sell a legendary if it deems it not worth the time. I would at least want to salvage the legendary for a brimstone.
 
wonder what the price of brimstone is on the AH, might actually be better to sell the legend and buy the brim :P
 
current brimstone price is 33k so much better to salvage and sell the brimstone then to vendor a level 60 legendary
 
you can fix that

need to edit trinity.cs, search for where it determines what items to salvage and tell it only ilvl 59+ and quality - legendary.
then in trinity plugin set it to salvage.

that way all trash legendaries will be salvaged, other items will be sold.

and ofc remove trashrules for legendarys in legendary.dis

damn, I should start selling mine. I figured it was going for 25 gold pieces by now. Did manage to sell a legend wiz hat the other day for 30mil. Haven't seen a sale like that in awhile. Not quite sure what the interest was in it, but what do I care lol. I put it up for 5k and figured it'd sell for maybe a few 100k. Suckers.
 
Good news everyone!
The slidebars are fixed already and rrrix is preparing himself a nice meal before he makes the final adjustments to Cummunity Trinity. If everything goes according to plan an official release will make the rounds today!

There will be an option to choose which loot rules you want so everyone is happy and, most importantly, only changing stuff one time per update
