Ultima - The Ultimate Combat Routine

MASSIVE update. Sorry it took so long but a few small changes turned into a domino effect lol. Scope creep and etc.

I normally don't like changing so much at once since if something is broken it's gonna be a pain to track down/fix, but I wanted to try to get caught up on a few of the more popular requests before the expansion bogs me down. Let me know what I broke and I'll try to fix it ASAP. :cool:

hey guys~ Chocobo summ not working

anyone has the same issue ?

The Chocobo won't summon if you're using Combat Assist, if you're in a Party, if it's in a Stable, if you don't have Gysahl Greens in your bags, or if you haven't did the quest to unlock it yet. Does that help any? Let me know. ;)
 
Ninja and dragoon multi mode seem to work fine, will be testing others out later on :) I have noticed with the auto goad with ninja that it wants to use goad if my tp is low judging by the log. Goad can't be used on yourself.

EDIT: also with your blm aoe rotation, should it be using flare? It's just most of the aoe rotations i have found online use flare. Just curious.

Hrm. I have it set to look for party members' TP. I guess the player is included in that. Good to know lol. I'll correct it. Also, do you know a good value to use Goad at? It's currently set to use it above the Invigorate threshold (~600). Should it be below it (~400)?

What do you mean with Flare? It should be using it every time Convert is up. Do you mean you think it should be hard-casted?

Barring that, its kinda awkward set at 600, as you'll be putting goad on someone right as they're about to pop invigorate. What I usually do is set it to 400 and manually goad a tank ~20s into the fight, since they dont have an invig to worry about (and actually run out of TP quite frequently), then let it run on auto from then on. By the time goad comes up again is just about when at least one of the dps is asking for more TP. If its possible to set different thresholds for different classes, I think 800 for tanks, 400 for ninjas bards and monks, and 300 for dragoons would be ideal.

Thanks. I'll set it to 400 for now and look into setting up values based on Class/Job (it should be possible, just gotta make sure to format it right).
 
Would an option on how many targets to use aoe be able to be added in? It seems with ninja it uses death blossom on 2+ aoe targets. At the very least it should be 3+. Good job with the aoe rotation so far.

Auto-summoning of the Chocobo is disabled in parties by default because if it's not it spams Summon Chocobo over and over right after it dies (it takes 5+ seconds to actually die and leave the party). Most people don't use them in groups with other people anyway (as they take up spots that could be used by other members).

If you really want to do it, just go to Ultima.cs and remove the "!PartyManager.IsInParty &&" from the Summon Chocobo code. I'll try to get an option of some sort thrown in to toggle it if others want it as well. :cool:

I have a massive update coming soon (within a day or so hopefully) that should address a lot of the concerns over the last few pages (not for all the cross-class skills yet though, rumor is SE is eliminating some of them so I'm waiting to see what the expansion brings as far as that goes).

Just throwing myself in as another who'd like that option! mostly for partying with multipleaccounts:P

Rebuilt the logic based on class as you suggested. 800 for Tanks, 400 for NIN/BRD/MNK, 300 for DRG. It should hit the tank first and then favor the DPS the second time around (later in the fight). :cool:

Combat Assist is one of the Bot Bases. Currently Ultima will only summon your Chocobo for you when you're using another Bot Base like Fate Bot or Order Bot.

scholar is not managing cleric stance when dealing dps. If you try anyway to activate it manually the routine just deactivate it instantly...

Perhaps it's a < level 50 thing. My 50 smn uses ruin fine.

Thanks. It works at 50 so I didn't notice an issue. I'll check it asap.
 
Lancer/Dragoon spamming Impulse Drive at low levels/syncing. Probably wants to use Disembowel but couldn't since it's locked when synced. When Disembowel is available, rotation works well.

Anywho, there are 2 combat assists now. Ex combat assist, and combat assist. Which one works better with ultima?
 
Also notice it spams cleric stance on and off out of combat as well.

But the fist of earth is fixed so thanks! :D

Thanks for the log bit. I had a few things coded incorrectly for the new core/code-base. See if it works better now.

Oops. When I was rebuilding the logic to support the new core I forgot to fix Impulse Drive's logic. Thanks for catching that. It should be better now (let me know).

As for ExCombatAssist and Combat Assist it shouldn't matter. The advantage to Ex was supposed to be Frame Lock but mastahg claims that's already built into RB so Combat Assist should be just as good.

Also notice it spams cleric stance on and off out of combat as well.

But the fist of earth is fixed so thanks! :D
