beardi: thanks for the info. whats your opinion on CM/WW in mp1?

should we all regear to archon, or is CM/WW doable?

whats your opinion of minimum hp/dps/chc/aoc/as for each build respectively for reasonable (>1 game per hour, <5 death per hour) results?

i want to be ready for either build when 1.0.5 goes live

If you are running either build with those run times/deaths then you will get less deaths and faster runs when 1.05 hits.

Might take a little tweaking of certain gear.

CM does work, however you need much higher CC/APOC/APS than currently, and that comes at a very high price.
 
Hi beardi, mind telling me your db setup? I wanna know what works for you, considerably it should work for me as well but I just can't seem to break below 1hr with all the stucks here and there. TIA
 
I'm currently running DB v.255 (not updating till I know new one is stable).

Newest Giles, newest RadsAtom, 1.2.6 Gangamstyle A3 profile.

Default settings on Giles, except plague avoidance @40% hp, don't pick up health globes, and potion use at 40% HP. 40 Trash kill range.

DB settings: 40 kill radius, 80 loot radius. rest default.

Just logged a run for you, this is all profiles in Gangam 1.26

I can't see that i will run FASTER in 1.0.5 with WW.. 1.7AS, 45% chc and 18 APoC enough, or not?

I assume I will need a lot more AS and CHC, if not APoC

If you still want to run a CM build (stunlock) then you want 50% cc, 20-max APOC and 2.25+ aps.

However if you can manage 75k unbuffed dps change to Archon build with the rest of your skills for dps. That will be fine for super fast clears on mp 1 or 2. Hope that helps!
 
Giles, I read a post of yours somewhere saying that the current DB cannot hold the mouse button down, it has to do it in bursts (like Disintegrate is set up at the moment)

Can you please hassle the dev's about this? I just tested a full A3 run with my Archon build which the bot dies about 5-10 times an hour depending on affixes. Solo I took down over 45 elite packs without moving (except to dodge Frozen) because with 100k dps the elites go down before they can use abilities. But because the bot uses bursts instead of a constant stream it takes at least double the time to kill them (don't ask me how it's that big of a difference but I did time a few to check). If this was sorted out it means that theoretically I can pretty much turn all avoidance off yet get less deaths per hour lol.

the current DB will not hold mouse button down if D3 is in the background, it will work fine if its in the foreground or another slightly expensive and neat approach to this is to use Isboxer

Nope, low MP levels mobs don't hit hard at all lol, plus prismatic's being nerfed to nearly useless in 1.05.
 
I remove it every update, attached .cs has the following changes:

Melee Archon removed,
Priorities for Succubus + Fallen Firemage turned off - causing too many "must follow and kill and then get owned by hundreds of melee mobs in the process"

:) Most skill editing things can be found in my guide (linked in siggy), it's just a small step to realize that putting // before a line stops it being used in the code, I prefer to do that than delete the code itself in case I need to revert things.
 
Sorry for double post but I want Giles to read this :P

For some reason with the 2 newest versions the activation of Archon is pretty random, it will do it with 1 elite around it, or wont do it with 3 elites around.

Had a look at the code and seems all in order, however I think it might be to do with the fact that with the checks for EA/MW etc it fails to realize whtne you have full AP mid combat. Something to look into, but I have a feeling it's probably more the new DB version than anything else, far too many issues. Tried reverting back to 252 and still get the same issue =/

Here is my setup:

This is in Archon with glass cannon and source.

I have 6750 Armor and 800 all resist.

The most essential part to bot in Archon is your dps... I died a lot before I pass 130k dps. If you wonder how to survive, increase your DPS.

Here is my build:

Wizard

However there are few things you need to change from the default settings:

1. Select "Wiz/crit mass" from the plugin or it will wait for the default 120 sec before it uses the next archon.
2. Open the code and change it start archon on 100 or less % health (it's 60 by default):

4. Make sure you find "Strongarm Bracers" with 50+ AR, 150 Int and 4% knockback... this combined with 2% knock back from Magic weapon you will only see the enemies vaporising on the edge of your screen.

I know it is expensive, but it is fun :D

The only problem I found so far are the blinking Phase Beasts... they hit hard and the bot got confused when they appear close in range or get surrounded.

Did you mean non archon mode 6700 armor, that would be tough! now that i spent all my gold on this..

It's not triggering right...
I use;
30 range >= 1 elite | 30 range >= 5 normal
but its not triggering Archon when it sees the elite in range
and when im surrounded with many normal creatures its not triggering Archon again...

can you show how to edit monster priority in your guide please...
you can pm me too :) thnx

I'm using a 100-390 Triumvirate source. Aizet is correct though, increasing DPS reduces your deaths by a hell of a lot (because elites don't get to use their special abilities that cause most deaths due to failed avoidance.

However EHP is just as important for the moments where you are avoiding and it's not working correctly, but with 50k hp and those resists/ar you should be fine. SO just focus on dat bad ass dps!
 
are you using improved archon still? or added teleport ?
bot refreshes archon and then coz its meele range of elites, it gets killed because of all the affixes! I should do a run with teleport and check.

Yes, 6700 is out of Archon... 8500 in Archon, also forgot to mention that I run with 450 LoH. This is enough keep you alive from damage return affixes.

900AR to 5300 Armor is a bit overkill for the AR.

Why? Because damage reduction is calculated multiplicatively. So what does this mean?

Effective health formula: HEALTH / [(1-"reduction from resist")(1-"reduction from armor")]

This means that having too much or too little of either all resist or armor is inefficient.

Because of diminishing returns, you will get more value from adding to whichever is lower be it armor or resistances.

From the Wizard tab in the Gile's plugin select "Wiz/crit mass", else it will wait for the default 120 sec before it uses the next archon.
