These class-threads are for posting your questions, requests, or problems that relate specifically to a class, or skills within that class. There will also be recommended build-ideas that have been tested heavily within Trinity posted here in the first post, and there may be advanced tips on custom-tweaks you can make to skills people commonly request changes for with instructions on how to safely edit the code to your liking.

Grave Injustice:

The grave-injustice build requires you to enable critical-mass/grave injustice in Trinity config, combat tab!
It's a very powerful all-round build that works well with any gear, but particularly with high-end gear.

General Purpose:

This is a very powerful Witch-Doctor build for botting, you can swap Zombie Dogs for Soul Harvest to Increase Survivability. You can use any preferred rune for poison dart.
Make sure grave injustice is *OFF* in your Witch Doctor config tab.

Acid-Spam:

This build is built around Life on Hit. Plague of Toads could be switched out for Corpse Spiders - Widowmakers for more mana regen. Runes on Zombie Dogs, Gargantuan, Soul Harvest, Spirit Walk are all optional.

Customizing Skills:

To customize a skill, you can open the code (the ".cs" file) in any editor you like - even notepad will do! You must find the correct code, and then (carefully) make the changes suggested below, changing numbers or options as you like. If things go wrong and DemonBuddy/Trinity no longer start up, it just means you mis-edited the code - no problem - just try again with a fresh copy and be sure to be very careful!

(custom change suggestions to be added based on common player requests)

There are quite a few of us that run the Acid Cloud Spam build - Witch Doctor - Game Guide - Diablo III

I find my WD just runs bears into walls as opposed to acid cloud shooting over walls.
 
Hi Giles, thanks for the update.

I noticed you set up the bot to trigger vision quest first before casting acid cloud, which is great! but it seems to be spamming dart or spider way too much. i.e. i will be sitting at 70% mana but my WD just keeps casting spiders instead of using acid cloud. ideally the primary skill should be used every 4 secs or when we run out of mana.
 
Thank you for posting the build in the build ideas Giles. Also I would like to give some great news as I have yet to see a single WD bug in Trinity 1.5.1 using the Acid Cloud Spam build using toads.
 
Mmm must be me then. I did a fresh install too. I will test some more when i get home.

what's the "GilesUseTimer" function do ? removing it seems to fix it for me, but i have no idea why hahaha.
 
I just updated to 1.5.1.2, I will switch to spiders and test it, seems to be working just fine with toads.
 
Colossus does the bug with spiders always happen for you or just sometimes? I noticed that sometimes it will spam spiders and not use acid cloud then others it will be just fine. Not sure if it has to do with the amount of monsters around or not.

Edit: Seems to happen mostly on Elites from what I am seeing, is this correct Colossus? Hmmm little hard to tell on this though as I 1-2 shot normal monsters with acid cloud.

Yep, that is right, not all the time just sometimes. as of the latest version the monster range check (i.e. cast acid cloud when more then 2 mobs) has been removed from the code. So i guess it shouldn't do that anymore ?

I will test it with toads when i get home. Thanks.
 
Spiders is still having issues not really sure what the issue is, as I don't see anything in the code that would make it do that. Only thing I can think of is maybe the bot isn't registering the extra mana back from the spiders attacking all the time and is only counting vision quest mana regen which in turn makes it spam spiders longer than it should. I will be switching back to Toads after this run as spiders are slowing my games down quite a bit.

Edit: Giles Quote (from Trinity Wizard Thread) - There's actually no way to read a rune on skills. I keep nagging Apoc/Nesox about this to add support into DB, but nothing so far. Fingers crossed...

Question on this Giles does this also apply to Corpse Spiders rune that gives mana per hit from the spiders? if so then this would be the issue with spiders.

Think i figured it out. i lowered the check timer on acid cloud from 250 to 5 like the other primary skills. seems to have fixed it. (5 might be too low and cause DB to check spell too much, i haven't tried a higher number say 25 ? 50 ? 100 ? default is 250ms. so i guess 100 would be good)

After i fixed it i decided to change to GI bear spam build and try botting on that LOL.

Well atleast you found a fix for it. Im having a weird issue as of today with trinity 1.5.1.2 and db. When I start the bot up and config things and select my profile then hit start. I select giles routine and db stops responding and closes but if I leave giles turned on and pick belphegor it works just fine and runs as if I had giles selected. I have tried fresh installs and it works just fine the first time, the minute I close the bot and restart it I start getting the issue.

DB 242 (also tried on 246 and 247 even tho 247 doesn't work really)

yup

you have to go in manually change usage requirements, i do it for my Blood Ritual build, takes 60secs and a calculator
 
Giles found a pickup items problem. when a pet solos a mob and its at a distance it will pickup gold but not the item.

Giles hopefully you can fix this somehow,
when using SoulHarvest, its using it when mobs are there but if there invisible or tunneled it doesn't actually class them as being hit by the soulharvest, anyway to make it cast when they are truly visible?

It should only be counting them as "there" once they come out of being burrowed/underground at least once. If they "re-tunnel" or "re-burrow", then they will still count as being there - as they are now already on the target list. This way works better than checking if they are burrowed every cycle, as the actual checks to D3 memory for every monster every loop add an extortionate amount of CPU power & slowdown, so the current way is much preferable to slowing everything down for a little more accuracy on spells in rare cases! :D
