I've been searching for a solution to fix the compatibility between the Keyrun Plugin and this latest trinity version. Thanks!
 
And Still DB is not working. All Folder are new but its crashed anyway.
Copying Trinity into plugin and then DB crashes and D3.

Anything from this trinity plugin crashes the game and programm.

I'm using all acts questing / giles auto equip / trinity. Why does my bot keep picking up whites and browns? I have the low level items unchecked.
 
I removed all references to Trinity (they're not really needed anyways) so this should be the last time it ever needs updating for Trinity compatibility.

Guys, you shouldn't be getting this kind of problems at all. It is not due to the NEW trinity, it works exactly the way the OLD one used to. Only difference there is, is the folder should be named Trinity, not GilesTrinity (in Plugins folder, ofc). Any kind of crash or problems loading would mean, that there is something wring with either your OS or your dependencies (things you need to run DB, lile .NET 4 and vc redist). You might be using old version of DB with the new version of Trinity (that doesn't work). Just do as people already suggested. Whoever has a problem:

1. DELETE EVERYTHING
2. DOWNLOAD THE LATEST DB (not use the one you downloaded 3 days ago- re-download it from the official link here)
3. DOWNLOAD THE LATEST TRINITY here
4. DOWNLOAD THE LATEST ROUTINE here and put it in Routines/Trinity/
5. TRY IT- IT SHOULD WORK. IF IT DOES NOT, --> Programs and Features --> Uninstall Microsoft .NET Framework and Visual C++ Redistributable (might be more than one different versions of it installed) --> RESTART --> open up DB folder / Help folder and there is a file called Demonbuddy dependency installer.exe --> run it and wait for everything to install --> RESTART
6. TRY IT, IT SHOULD WORK!!!! if it does not, then you need to reinstall windows.

Did all of this (except for #6 which there is no way in hell I am doing)

So no, it is not the same as the old trinity because the old trinity works, this one does not.
 
I never understood how people can have such troubles with new version of Trinity or DB...
Everytime there's new version it works flawlessly for me, and yet I see so many posts how bad it is coded and blablabla and it crashes DB/D3/Windows/Universe...

Must be something you are doing wrong imho.

About new version - tested it with my Barb at act II during key farming and it works great. No mini-lags/freezes, kills everyting as it should, dumps fury while in WOTB mode.
Great work Rrrix. Now just waiting for option that will allow us to decide which elites are considered hard ;)

Me neither, until it happened to me. I have been using DB since June of last year. Never had a problem like this. This royally sucks.

Edit:

Removed the trinity 1.7.3.2 & quest tools plugins just for shits and giggles and DB started up with no crashes.

Did you try to remove just Quest Tools?

Also I remember my friend having troubles with one version of Trinity. He created new account on his PC and it solved the issue.
Maybe it will help you also?

You know, i reintall my windows like 6 times a year. It takes up about 15 minutes form start to end, never understood why people hesitate to do it. Just never put anything of value on C: and format that fucker whenever u start having trouble. U think you are the only one who has his PC doing strange shit? Nope, bro, i've seen all kinds of fkd up stuff, including with DB. Format and it works ;)
 
renaming the demonbuddy.exe and demonbuddy.exe.config caused me to crash

didnt before with previous trinity releases

That's it! I have been renaming DB for so long and never had a problem with it. Renamed them back and it's working fine. The new trinity just will not work with it for whatever reason. Hopefully rrrix can fix this soon.

Renaming it? Dude, what did i say.. re-download and don't change a thing .. you said you did all that and it still doesn't work. Why would anyone change the name of the exe, anyway? It doesn't make any sense, outside of the heavy tin foil users community.

I have been renaming the exe since day one and it never caused any issues at all before, so I didn't really even consider that.
 
Good question, but i don't think rrrix did it on purpose, tho. He redid triniy, removed all the code that involved "Giles", probably changed it structurally some more. I think that is what happened. That said, there is not any practical use of renaming the EXE. It is just plain tin foil, so it actually doesn't matter. Problem with people is, they don't do what rrrix, or Tony or anyone who tries to help tells them. Fresh install means delete everything, better re-download it to be sure you have the latest and then try it- meaning REALLY delete everything you have and really re-download it and really re-install it freshly.

I don't agree, this has been covered before anyway. Blizz has the right (see the TOS) to scan your systems memory and they would be able to see your running processes including Demonbuddy.exe Renaming the exe makes this more difficult. Anyway, if I want to rename the exe I should be able to do so as I see fit.
