Three Musketeers - fast legendary farm after 2.0.4

noob qns: but how do u set trinity to sell your rares instead of salvaging it?

Not hard at all, it is in fact a click change button. Under trinity settings click the item tab, then click the scoring/townrun tab. You will see a few check boxes at the top saying white magic rare legendary etc. Check the 'None' option for Rares, and make sure the box below for 'trash all rares' is checked. This will vendor all rares, If you ever wish to change it back to salvaging all you do is check "all levels" along side the rare box instead of "none" and voila. You are now selling rares, No need to go forum-searching for an answer that took 30 seconds to type out.

I have a problem with the latest version, my witch doctor was using totem and mass confusion right at the start of the fight but now he's only using it at 50% boss hp or less. Any idea how to fix this ?

ok thanks, i thought it was just a click change to do so.

It is. Go to Trinity settings and under "Salvage" settings, make sure Rares and Magics are set to None. It will then vendor them instead of salv.

I didn't need to edit item rules.

The math just doesn't stack up.

By "bonus exp" I assume you mean with an EXP Well active (+25% from monsters) and by Ring of Gold(?) I assume you mean Hellfire Ring? (+35% experience).

Lets break it down.

First of all, you aren't running 55 GPH unless: you kill Ghom in under 6 seconds AND you dont pick up anything except legendaries AND you use movement speed skills. But you already said you pick up rares.. which considering the fact that Ghom often drops up to 4 of them means you are town running every 10 or so kills. Under these circumstances I expect you are running less than 45 games per hour. Nonetheless, I will use your self-inflated 55 GPH for the purposes of this argument.

Base Ghom EXP at Torment 4 with 55 games per hour: 13.1m per game * 55 = 720.5m exp per hour
Add in the exp well 25% bonus to Ghom exp only (not quest exp): (5m*1.25) + 8.1m * 55 = 789.25m exp per hour
Now let's add your exp gear...

Torment 4's bonus exp is 800%. With a Hellfire Ring this is increased to 835%. A boost of roughly 4.4% extra exp.
(5*1.044*1.25)+8.1*55 = 804.375 million exp per hour.

Like I said. You need nearly 80 GPH to reach the numbers you are claiming. It's simply impossible.

I don't believe an extra 40k from selling an inventory of rares every 10 games is increasing your base gold per hour from 3.5mil to 5.3mil either. Selling rares is likely going to decrease your gold per hour, not increase it.

Edit: I just reread that you said Bracers not Ring. Assuming you mean Custerian Bracers? Converts gold picked up to exp. This item is worthless. It doesn't do anything for Ghom - I don't believe he actually drops gold. Even if he did you would be getting an extra 10k exp (on top of 14million) per run. It's laughable.

It happened to me when i updated to trinity .21, i switched back to .18 and it's fine now (had to do a fresh install btw.)

It can also be a problem with your main attack having too much range. try to switch to zombie bears for example.

OMG thank u so much :)

ye this correct one. but i havent crusader to reproduce it anyway and find out the problem

any1 have this problems only with crusaders?

I have the same problem profile runs good for anywhere for 30 mintues to 2 hours and then it lags and starts going to town and reteleporting back to entrance and its a loop it never finishes a game, or it freezes. I've ran this profile on the newest release of DB and the release before that and since trinity .17 so tried .18 .19 .20 and now .21 and still same problem on my barb. this is not 100% afkable yes I am running it on a laptop due to divorce and wife stole everything from me.. so only PC I have. I agree maybe make a seperate version for people with slower pc's that might help not sure. tried one suggestion and turned off defender that didn't help. If you want when I get home from work I'll clean my log files out of everything start the problem on a clean install of Buddy/Trinity and start it and once it loops I'll attach log file and show how long it took to loop/freeze the game.

What's a good build to start doing T4 Ghom on?

I'm T3 barb with 50 games/hour atm.. Really want to move to T4, T5.

Have 3-Piece IK Set, 2-Piece Blackthorne Set atm.

Using Thunderfury / Barber offhand for DPS. Not sure what build will help me take down 1 bil HP in 10 seconds.. I usually die in T4, or WOTB runs out.

However I am killing 700m HP T3 Ghom atm in about 10 seconds, no trouble at all >_> So I don't know what the problem is.

i using my T4 Ghom Barb. I do not remember who, but here was one of the suggested
Barbarian - Game Guide - Diablo III

Vendoring a full inventory of rares is closer to 200k gold, not 40k. And it can easily add up to 1m gold/hr to a profile like this or another that does quick games.

True. I take back what I said about selling rares decreasing your gold per hour.

Can someone give me a guide how to make the bot go face with archon instead of injecting himself with ghomish fart for 20 seconds before activating archon?
