hi
I was banned on the banwave 18/12/12
So bought an account from a random forum from some random guy with 25euro. I changet email, password and battletag but you cannot change the name and surname of the account and after 1 mounth of botting (lvl 90 paragon barbarian). the old owned made a ticket to blizzard and sent them a copy of his ID and gave him the account back.
I am not crying about the account. (I bought another one)
the funny thing is that I made a ticket myself about that account and blizzard sent me this answer :

Thanks for contacting us using the Account Recovery webform.

We have finished our investigation and we found no evidence that your account is compromised. We have verified that there wasn't any 3rd party access to your account. We have checked your characters and there are no missing items or gold loss.
If you are using a Battle.net Authenticator in your account, it might be necessary to resynchronize the device to make it work correctly again. If you are unable to resynchronize it yourself, or if your issue persists after doing so, we can unlink the Authenticator from your account. In order for us to remove your Authenticator you will need to send the following information for account verification using our contact form https://eu.battle.net/support/en/ticket/submit

- Your Battle.net account name
- Full name registered on the account
- Your Battle.net Secret Question and answer

We also require one of the following:

- The serial number of the authenticator
- A legible scan or photo of a piece of government-issued photo identification, such as a passport or driving license matching the first and last name of the registered account owner

Please remember to include the ID as an attachment and not as an image pasted into the main body of the email.

If you are unable to use our contact form, you can send the required information by post:

really ? no evidence 3rd party access to your account after over 1 mounth of boting ?

Thats the risk with buying accounts. Years ago i bought wow-accounts on ebay. My experiences: more than 70% of all accounts was gone after the first month. Most sellers are crazy kiddys which knows, no one will touch them if they do it again and again...

does anyone know how long the old owner of the account can try a account recovery after a password change?

within 1 month or is "1 month" just a rumor?

one of my acc's is also bought from a private seller (pw change 28.12.2012) and is still working fine with para100... don't want to loose the account *hehe*

he can get it anytime he wants, I bought the account in 20/12/12 and he stole it from me 31/01/13
so be carefull you will recive an email 1 day before he will get the account from blizzard anyway, so keep your eyes on the account email

The ID owner can get account back anytime he wants. I do not recommend to buy accounts unless your friends/trusted ppl sell them. Just buy a key and lvl your new toon.

Did you buy via paypal? You know you can get your money back within 60 days via opening a dispute (money gets locked on scammers account).

yea I know, I payed via bank transfer he told me he doesn't have a paypal account :)
I know the account is lost, and I can`t get it back.
I was just surprised about the blizzard answer about no 3d party acces to that account :) maybe is what darky13 say`s.
this is the first time I want a bot banned :)

You fell for an old scam. He probably has a paypal account but he didn't tell you about it, so that you can't do a chargeback. The bank account could be a fraudulent one as well.

Could always make a fake id with the account name and steal it back

I'm sorry to hear about your loss OP. It's a despicable thing to do, for sure. At least now you know never to fall for anything like that ever again. 25 euro is a small price to pay for such a valuable lesson.

And when you get that email, set your bot to constantly make games and leave them. Bang up against that game limit as much as you can and also brag that you're a bot to everyone so people report you. Also, run A3 Big Red. Then he'll get banned when the next banwave happens.

Third party access, in this case, doesn't refer to botting. It refers to a party that is not the account owner (e.g. you) accessing the account. Blizzard is saying that no one but the account holder has accessed the account.

You ought to report him for selling the account and then taking it back. Open a ticket on the service page. You can't get your account banned (obviously, it's his now), so you have nothing to lose. He can get banned, however, for breaking the ToS by selling the account (this is against the ToS) and then stealing it back (he's abusing the ToS to abuse other people - Blizzard won't like this: they may be more likely to ban him because the game master might find his behavior egregious.) You can show the electronic funds transaction, and any emails (you do have a record of him saying these things, right?) sent between you and him regarding the sale of his account.

Next time, write down all the details. Name and address in the account (it would be real since the guy needs to show same ID to scam the acc back from you) and hunt the guy down!
