So, it's the time of the year that I have to do my taxes. I really don't know how to put "diablo income" under my tax form. In general, where does this thing go? Goods? Services? Whatever?

dont file for it

If you didnt get a tax form from paypal, I wouldnt worry about it

Why would you pay taxes for a freaking video game? If you sell something personal like your old computer, do you report that as income in your tax form?

Not really, the only problem is that the money show up in a bank account. If I sell something hand to hand its no problem.

Not sure about the law in your country, but here in the US, technically you do have to report any income you made even if it is hand to hand or Paypal through online game transactions. BUT - Paypal only reports your income to the IRS if you made $20,000 AND had over 200 transactions over the past year. So most people just don't report since the IRS doesn't really know right away that you made some extra money. Small risk but very few people ever get burned. :o

I got over 30 000 (over a few years) into my bank account from paypal and never had any questions asked from anywhere. (Not Diablo3, actual work)

I don't really think most replys here fit the original poster's concern. Laws regarding web-based profits are really different in every country, when the country in question even have a law for this sort of income.

All those replies here with the 20k rule use US law, with wouldn't have any use for you if you are Greek.

I'm from Europe, Spain for the fact, and looked for info on this regard. Even asked a few lawyer friends with the tax speciality, and they were lost on this matter. One of them, after devoting some time on this, told me not to declare it at all. If you are ever investigated (that could happen) and you are find guilty , you would have to pay an X percent fine for your bad behaviour, on the total amount you are supposed to. Worth to risk it in his oppinion, so I did. Of course this is taking into account Spanish laws, you might want to contact a tax lawyer from your country to know if there is any aplicable rule.

If you are decided to go the legal way , there is a page from blizzard EU rmah that states all income coming from the rmah should be declared as capital gain, or natural income.

Here you have it: "10. Taxes. You are responsible for taxes incurred when you use the Auction Houses. All auctions are subject to all applicable tax laws and regulations. Proceeds from auction sales may be considered income for tax purposes. You should consult with a tax specialist to determine your tax liability for these transactions. "
