Since lock out update I have been wrecking gyms

Since the new lockout I have been pissing off the kids in my neighbourhood by smashing their gyms and putting 3000+cp pokemon in the gyms. Anyone else been having a fun time doing this?

As i don't want my accounts to get banned for sure, well, no.

Rumor has it that you're risking getting banned only if you claim the poke coins prize.

I had been fighting gyms for a while now, no ban so far.

And sure its fun! Enjoy amigo

Nobody has been banned using PF lately. Right now you can bot as safe as possible or go nuts 24/7...both accounts won't be banned. (tested it myself).
 
Well I first heard this theory before the last ban wave.
And it is not entirly true, I read a few posts of people saying they were banned - after the last ban wave.

Anyway, its just a theory.. If you wanna claim the coins and check it, i'd be delighted to hear your conclusions
 
Banned for taking a gym? Is this because he's botting hours away and taking over local gyms?
 
I've brought several gyms up to level 10 and have been collecting for almost 3 weeks straight and haven't been banned.

Only issue I have now is not being able to use my rooted phone to play unless I disable the root with magisk but then I can't have any fun with GPS spoofing.

Has anyone found a way to actually hide the root successfully from Safteynet yet?
 
I've been catching 3-4 gyms at a time and claiming them where i'm from even though i teleport to 100 iv pokemon all over the world aggressivly and i've done that for over a month without a ban. Of course, this was before nox stopped supporting pogo. I'm probably still not banned, I dont kno though because I don't have a working emulator to login and check and no smart phone lol...

my main account currently owns 18 gyms, and my second owns 16. I have been doing it oldschool way, 2 phones, driving gym to gym. of all the gyms, easily 8 or 10 ofthem are level 10 gyms. and all of the gyms i control I am the final crown victor. every single one has a 2.5k+ snorlax in it. one has a 2800 but thats no difference really. one has a 2.7k lapras with breath/blizzard. and I changed it up for once and its holding well(probably because the prev 9 pokemon are a mix of exeggutor/vapor/snorlax/venusaur etc) which i put a 2.6k fang/flame blast arcanine in. and cp 2k+ arcanines may only have around 130-160hp, but that 100 damage is nutzo. I left a 2.5k vaporeon with hydro pump in one to test, and a bubble shot/hydro pump 2k poliwrath in the latest gym. when checking hp on vaporeons I noticed that whether it was 2.2k cp or 2.5k the HP did not go beyond 187 unless it was a 100iv or close to it, even then it was a 1-3 hp difference in a 200-300cp gap. so I no longer wasted any stardust on vapos except to get any last remaining one pure aesthetics to 2200+. all my snorlax and most of my pokemon are the same. lapras i have around a dozen each, almost all are blizzard, unfortunately one of my 100iv is a dragon pulse but i put it up to 2.7k none the less.

I was taking gyms with these 2 accounts long before the update, so I had tons of coin saved daily to buy inventory slots. both accounts are rocking 700-800 inventory. so each account is plentiful with over 150+ max potions, 100 max revives each, and between 70-100 200hp potions, 50 revives, and a lower number of other hp potions. one has 4 3.2k dragonites breath/claw, another has 8-9 dragonites between 2.9-3.2k breath/claw I use solely for attack, I never swap pokemon no matter what I face i plow thru with a dragonite because simply put they are just amazing. All my pokemon I drop in gyms have weird/stupid/funny names. ie some snorlax: ur.fat.kid, i.sit.on.gym, you.suck, shamoo, why.so.bad, ISIS, Kaboom, Allahu.Akbar, etc etc. so people have to stare at those pokemon CP and name daily.

I guess I am different from most of you.

I don’t enjoy botting, there is nothing to enjoy about staring at the bot crawling on the screen. Like most of you, I just let it run on the background while doing something else. But I think I will not be able to enjoy pogo without a botted account either.

What I enjoy the most is hunting pokemon with my daughter, and catching those pidgeys and caterpies with low level accounts. Its not just about playing and leveling up, it’s the interaction and doing something together with my kid that I enjoy the most. Every catch is exciting.

There was a time when the gyms are ruled by low level golbats and arboks and fighting is so much fun. It’s not like that anymore, gyms are now owned by level 30+ level players with dragonites, snorlax, lapras, etc… and its not that fun anymore for the kids who play by the rule and don’t know anything about botting. But me and my daughter will still drive around and I will show my daughter that her Dad can beat them all. I will switch to one of my level 35+ botted account and take over the gym. And I will put a low-CP Rattatta, and allow her to take over the gym. I can tell you that the smile on her face is priceless after she collected the coins. Minutes later, you will see other kids fighting to take over the gyms with their own arbok, ekans, and pidgeot, like everything is back to normal when the game first started. It doesn’t really last though, because high level players will come back afterwards, but at least they had their chance for a moment. And we do it every week.

So, yes, it may be contradicting, but I guess I owed it to botting too.

I came to the conclusion the game absolutely sux some time ago. The game is unplayable without botting and even with botted accounts there isn't much to do on this game.
1) Rewards on the game are crap, the stardust you get as a reward is crap. There should be additional rewards for transferring high level pokemon.
2) You can't improve your pokemon through training (ie improve their IV or learn new attacks)
3) No missions with rewards just stupid medals that are pointless
4) No in-game communication with other nearby players (of the same team) to encourage team play and attack gyms as a team.

The only thing that keeps me going is my son seems to like playing this game, and it gets us out of the house,

I agree on the transfer of high pokemon, they should give you 4000 star dust or something.
They way I look a the game because its so boring, is a lot of player will just disappear and not play again. This is good for botters as Niantic probably will leave us alone when the game dies off. Then we can troll all the gyms and piss everyone off.

I see your points. Maybe they should have certain CP level gyms so kids can get in them?
