The max CP of an almost perfect level 25 pokemon is 2436. Because the pokemon can go as much as 1.5 plus your current level, 2500 is possible, but rare. Eight 2500 Snorlax is unlikely at level 25, not matter how good of a sniper you are. You can have perfect Snorlax early in the game and power it up as you go up, but it will cost you candies and stardust that you may not have.
Also, you cannot put more than 1 pokemon in a gym, unless you use multiple accounts. 8 snorlax means 8 different gyms, and not all gyms are co-located within the same area. And it is impossible to keep all those 8 Snorlax there. In my area, 2500 Snorlax is considered decent, but not strong. No one is impressed or intimidated by it. 2 decent level polywrath will easily take down a 2500 snorlax. And taking a gym is very easy. It takes almost hours to bring a level 3 gym up to 10, but only minutes to bring it down. Unless you fill it up with weak pokemon at first, and build up from there, but that will make it easier to take down too. So, 8-2500 plus Snorlax from one level 25 user on 8 separate gyms all the same time is highly improbable. By the time that you are fighting your fourth gym, the first gym may be out of your color team already.
But that was not my point. I can see his point and share his frustrations. But as a botter and a game cheater myself, I cannot report a fellow cheater. The only person who can cast a stone on a cheater is an honest man, and we are not, in this case. A thief cannot go around the neighborhood stealing food from his neighborhood, then upon learning that other thief steals more than him, cannot just turnaround and report the guy for stealing. Kids hate the cheaters, but is it true that cheater hate fellow cheater because they cheat better than them, and in order to eliminate the competition, report him?
Let the non cheaters report the botters and snipers, and that means all of us, no matter if you only use it once a week, and the other is using it 24/7. But a cheater reporting a cheater like he is a righteous one, then claim that he is giving a moral lesson? Seriously?? That’s plain hypocrisy!!! A drunk person reporting that he saw an alcoholic man buying beer.
