[PAID] Sharp Messenger - Monitor your Honorbuddy toons via Jabber!

That was indeed pretty challenging. I'll try to make the process a bit easier. I'm happy that you are online now ;)
Additionally please note that Sharp Messenger will probably disconnect for no reason after a while. This is a bug that is already fixed but the HB staff has to approve the new version (which probably happens on Monday).
 
4.0.0.5 is now approved. No known issues currently.
 
Morning Keanu. Got an issue now. Running two toons, and get identical settings for Sharp Messenger.... When toon 1 is whispering toone 2, i got an alert on IM+, then toon 2 is replying back to toon 1, no alerts on IM+.
Worse... if toon 1 is whispering a second msg to toon 2, let's say, 5-10 sec later, no msg on IM+

any thoughts please. ?
 
You have to use different Jabber accounts for different WoW toons.
 
Hooooooo, so two Jabber for 1 toon, and two others jabber for the 2nd toon ? Can the main gmail address be the same or here as well, need to be different ?
 
No, the master account stays the same. Obviously. The gmail accounts is same as well.
 
so.... two different slave jaber and the rest identical, got it, thanks.
 
Small issue, the Jabber.at website does not send email to confirm the freshly create account...
 
Yeah, just verified it. I contacted them about the issue. Let's hope they'll solve it fast enough.
 
Sadly missing confirmation email is killing my trial, bad provider ^^
 
Hi Keanu, still no update from Jabber.at for email confirmation. I have tried 4 of the provided from your https://list.jabber.at - Having said that I still have to go to the jabber chat, log as the master and add the slave friend, then logout from the master account, log back in as the slave account, still in the chat, and accept the invitation to be working. However, UNABLE to login as slave onto jabber chat with any of the 4 providers.... so... issue
 
OK, I took a greater look at all popular Jabber providers and can say that https://jabber.hot-chilli.net/ is much easier to use.
You can start with creating a master and a slave account to test it @ https://jabber.hot-chilli.net/account/create/.
There is no e-mail needed for registration and therefore no confirmation is needed.
I didn't have to add slaves to my master's contact list, it just worked out of the box.

I am considering switching the official supported provider to https://jabber.hot-chilli.net/.

Please try it and give me feedback. Before asking anything make sure that you can send messages between both accounts in other messengers like Trillian or Pidgeon.

Ok, I tried... and I am getting confused...

* I created a [email protected]-chilli.net and a [email protected]-chilli.net (name are not like this but you get the idea).
* Fron the HB plugin settings, here is how I fill it :

Do I need to insert something onto the Email area ?
Also... form IM+ I created a new Jabber account, inserted the credentials of mastertoon1@.... and the password and validated. Stilll connecting....
Therefore I am lost.

since we have to use another provided, could you please make our life easy ? We paid 30$ for a system that used to works... I just wish to be able to continue to use your system.
your .pdf file was great, any chance you could update it with all the steps ? I do not know Pidgeon.. but I heard about pidgin.

I have downloaded Pidgin for Windows, inserted the two account, added the two contacts.. and can talked between each others...
Better, if I get a whisper in my wow game, from Pidgin on my windows 10, i get the message.
However, impossible to reply back, all know commnds like /w or /br are unknow.
Your help would be appreciated.

I'll create a step by step guide for the new Jabber provider in the evening. I of course meant Pidgin and not Pidgeon.
 
About replying back. In Pidgin you can't use the slash for commands. Try .w or .br ;)
And yes, you have to set up your Gmail account. This is for screenshots only.
 
Thanks Keanu, really impatient to see your new guide. Hopefully, it will show how to get connected with IM+. With Pidgin, the .w or .br does not works.
