[PAID] Sharp Messenger - Monitor your Honorbuddy toons via Jabber!

The 4th version of Sharp Messenger arrived... and awaits approval in the Buddy Store! Google stopped supporting XMPP and that’s why we now use a public Jabber server for exchanging messages in the current version. What changes now for you?

• You have to register at least two accounts @ jabber.at.
• You have to re-configure Sharp Messenger (delete settings folder).
• You don’t have to disable Hangouts or enable less secure apps anymore!
• You may have to switch your messenger application.

Please note that one Google Mail account is still needed for sending screen shots.

We currently support only jabber.at as Jabber provider and Google Mail as e-mail provider. You may choose to user other providers but you won’t get any kind of support from us when doing so.

And as always, before asking any questions, please read the whole user guide. The user guide is attached to the first page of this thread!

The release fixes disconnecting and logging issues. Wait until this version hits the store if you face some problems.

Hi there, until last week, I used two gmail addresses, and it was working fine, what do I need to do now. since the UI is slicy diferent... ?

Of course.. it no longer works. Thanks to clarify. for existing users that had your plugin already, what need to be amended or wich email I should now use on your new UI.

Also, I was using IM+ Pro7 on iOS to receive live msg. What application need now to be used, as this IM+ does not support Jabber.

- Did you read the updated user guide?
- Sharp Messenger now uses Jabber for notifications and e-mail for screenshots.
- IM+ does support Jabber (XMPP).

this is where i got issue, I created 2 accounts on @ jabber.at and confirmed it with password via email, fine. Now.. on https://jabber.at/ I am connected with Master account, how, or where to add my slave as contact list ?

Also, inside the HB settings, is it correct ? :

this is the " confirm the chat invitation " on each slave account that is problematic.. how, where to ?
From the https://jabber.at/chat, I connected as the master. I then add a contact " slave " that appears as PENDING CONTACT. how to verify the contact now ?

Well, you obviously log out as master and log in as slave in that web chat. Then you confirm the chat invitation as slave.

Ok, all done now... now, rest the IM+ Pro configuration please.

I added a new account with Jabber. What jabber account to use, the master or slave ?

Ok, let me resume :

I have created a 1st jabber account " Master ", linked to a master gmail account.
I verified the jabber account via the email received in my master gmail account

I done the same with 2nd jabber account " Slave 2. etc.

From the Webchat i have logged in as master, click the add friend, and inserted the slave jabber account.
I clicked on the chat the online drop down menu, select log-out and logged in as the save. Click the tick to accept the invitation.
Part from JABBER, GMAIL, WEBCHAT DONE, right ?

Now... on HB. Frech .887 installation, no settings folder. I filled it up like this, is it correct ?

Now, from IM+ Pro, I added an account, selected Jabber,

Login = master jaber account
Password = master jabber account passowrd
Screenname = empty
chat history = selected.

Jabber account is online.
now, when I whisper my Toon from another account on WOW, I got nothing on Jabber via my phone.. what have I done wrong pls.

In Sharp Messenger you did enter the Slave User Password, right?
Apart from that everything seems OK.

When you say "Jabber account is online". Which one do you mean? The slave account?
Can you see in IM+, when logged in with master, that your slave account is online? Can you send the /help command to it?

In Sharp Messenger I did enter the slave user password (it's the same as the master anyway.)
Jabber account is online inside IM+ and from the tab " Contact " I do see the save Jabber account online too.

Now... inside the tab " Inbox " there is no msg....
If I go inside the " contact " tab, select my slave jabber contact, and type /help, nothing happen at all.

Very strange, please send me your log through private message.
Your log could contain the SmtpPassword inside (this was a Sharp Messenger bug which I fixed in the newest version), please remove it upfront.

Additionally please verify over the web chat that you can send messages from master (IM+) to slave (web chat).

good news, working now, just had to restart HB, pressing stop and start did not help.
Pfewwwwwwwwwwww was complicated but i got there
